Part 1 of Beyond the Scroll: Deciphering Print's Unwavering Hold on Reader Loyalty and Trust

Print media's lasting appeal in an increasingly digital environment is evidence of its special advantages. Print nevertheless has a unique and frequently esteemed place in economies where media consumption is influenced by political consciousness and long-standing cultural links, even while the sheer amount of internet content threatens to overwhelm. This durability stems from qualities like believability, tangibleness, and a fostered environment for ongoing participation that digital platforms, despite their immediacy, find difficult to duplicate.According to the recently published WARC Global Ad Trends Report on "Advertising's Breaking News Problem," India is defying the global trend of declining ad spend on news content by seeing an increase in both print and internet sales. According to the report, newsbrand ad spending in India has increased by 6% annually.According to the recently published WARC Global Ad Trends Report on "Advertising's Breaking News Problem," India is defying the global trend of declining ad spend on news content by seeing an increase in both print and internet sales. According to the report, newsbrand ad spending in India has increased by 6% annually. In order to understand what keeps print media so strong in India despite the country's swift shift to digital, Adgully interviews a variety of print industry experts and marketers for this two-part investigation. This attitude is nicely expressed by Sakshi Media Director Rani Reddy, who notes, "Yes, we are witnessing a big digital deluge." However, print continues to hold its revered position as a reliable medium, particularly in southern regional areas where readers are more politically conscious and aligned. According to her, this trust is a result of print's tactile qualities, in-depth editing, and carefully chosen content, all of which work together to create a strong emotional bond with readers. Sakshi's well-established credibility, first-rate hyperlocal coverage, and crucial role in helping readers live their lives by pointing them in the direction of "a better tomorrow" all serve to further solidify their devotion. In a world when social media is full with constant notifications and frequently overwhelming information, print provides a much-needed break from the screen and encourages real interaction.

The new TV is YouTube, and it's very different from the old one! Section Two

In his yearly letter to the business this February, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan declared, "YouTube is the new television." He highlighted YouTube's transition into a major entertainment platform by saying that more people now watch the video on TV displays than on mobile devices."A growing number of people watch YouTube in addition to TV. Every day, viewers watch more than 1 billion hours of YouTube content on TVs, and in the US, TVs are now the main way that people watch YouTube. However, the appearance of the "new" television differs from that of the "old." In addition to the sports, sitcoms, and chat shows that people already enjoy, it's interactive and features content like shorts (yep, people watch them on TVs), podcasts, and live streams, Mohan said. Will YouTube take the place of traditional television as the new mainstream media? And how might this change reshape advertising, entertainment, and audience participation in the years to come? YouTube has changed over the last 20 years from being a place to post oddball, low-quality videos to becoming a major force in the entertainment sector and starting to look more and more like television. The distinction between YouTube and TV has become more hazy as viewers watch 1 billion hours of YouTube every day on smart TVs and broadcasters are now posting entire episodes. This convergence has been highlighted by the thriving partnerships between YouTubers and mainstream media, such as MrBeast's Prime Video series Beast Games and the Sidemen's Netflix reality program Inside. The integration has generated controversy, though, since some YouTube-based programs have come under fire for their content quality and production ethics, raising worries about a media "race to the bottom." YouTube now concentrates on serving as a distribution center while producers and broadcasters adjust to its business model, despite its brief foray into original content. Disney and other traditional TV networks are using YouTube to reach a wider audience. YouTube's popularity and production budgets indicate that it will continue to play a significant role in entertainment, even though it may not be able to compete with TV in terms of premium narrative in the foreseeable future. According to some analysts, YouTube and traditional television will merge to form a single media environment.

The crew of the movie responds. It appears that Pakistani musicians have no place on our music CDs, not simply on their social media profiles. Actors who appear in Indian films from across the border are gradually being removed from the film's assets. On Monday, it was seen that Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane were the only actors on the Sanam Teri Kasam album. She is no longer featured on Spotify or YouTube Music's covers of the movie's album. When we contacted Deepak Mukut, the film's producer, he claimed to be unaware of this, saying, "They didn't ask me, it's their decision." Everyone must abide by whatever our government says.“Now they will say that my PR team got this done!” Harshvardhan tells HT City. No, I suppose it's just common sense; weeding is being done. In the 2017 movie Raees, Shah Rukh Khan and Pakistani star Mahira Khan performed a romantic number called "Zaalima." There is no sign of Mahira on the album cover on YouTube, YouTube Music, or Spotify, which just has SRK solo.

"We are seeing a sharp increase in cases of dry eye syndrome, myopia progression, eye strain, and even early-onset squinting, especially in children who spend hours watching reels," he stated. "We recently had a student who came in complaining of blurred vision and ongoing eye irritation. Upon inspection, we discovered that his eyes were not shedding enough tears as a result of spending too much time at home viewing reels on a screen. According to Instagram, rubbing raw ginger can help clear up acne. Are dermatologists in agreement?

Another day, another Instagram beauty tip that has gone viral. You surely have a feed full of skincare tips on how to treat acne if you have it, like I do. Social media is using natural components from your kitchen, such as flax seeds for "botox" and raw garlic. This time, raw ginger is the focus, as influencers assert that applying it topically can help eradicate acne. It seems like a simple solution to acne, doesn't it?Innumerable videos of Indian skinfluencers with radiant skin can be found online these days, stating that the key isn't pricey facials but rather applying raw ginger directly to acne outbreaks to treat them right away. But is this spicy suggestion really supported by any science? To find out if this pattern is reliable, let's take a closer look and get some professional guidance. What are the opinions of experts? First, let's get this out of the way. Anything is not necessarily beneficial to your skin just because it is natural. particularly when used undiluted and raw. Senior consultant dermatologist Dr. Gulhima Arora of Mehektagul Dermaclinic states that ginger has only been indirectly shown to be effective in treating acne in scientific studies. It shouldn't be regarded as the primary or first line of treatment. She emphasizes that acne is a complex condition and that not all of its triggers can be addressed by a single spice.Dermatologist and Kaya Limited medical advisor Dr. Saranya B concurs, saying that using raw ginger to the face is not a clinically validated method of treating acne. Despite its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities, direct application may irritate skin. According to Skin Smart Solutions' founder and principal dermatologist, Dr. Bindu Sthalekar, "there is no scientific proof that applying raw ginger topically treats acne." Theoretically, it might be beneficial, but only if taken in conjunction with other drugs and with good tolerance.

Axar Patel leads DC to a decisive victory over Rishabh Pant's LSG on a night that contrasts for the captains.

Returning to Lucknow for the first time since his unsatisfactory dismissal from the team, KL Rahul ended the game with a spectacular six to go undefeated in a run-chase with a 42-ball 57.On a night full of stories at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium, the Delhi Capitals won by 8 wickets in a 160-run chase, solidifying their status as this season's title contenders. KL Rahul, who is making his first appearance in Lucknow after his unsatisfactory dismissal from the team, ended the game with a spectacular six to go undefeated in a run chase with a 42-ball 57. In the twelfth over of their respective innings, LSG and DC both lost their second wicket. Axar Patel entered when a composed Abishek Porel collapsed. At this point, DC was only under a little pressure to take a few wickets, but it might have grown complicated because new batters take time to get comfortable. With two sixes over the midwicket zone, his favorite hit against spin, Axar took out Ravi Bishnoi in the very next over after Avesh Khan had dismissed him after four dot balls. In the following over, facing Avesh once more after being outscored by a few deliveries, he decided to take a chance and hit a four to try to clear the fielder at mid-off. The most impressive stroke came from Shardul Thakur, who took up a not-so-short ball with the weight still on his backfoot and sent it over long on for a six.

Nitish Rana on RR not selecting him for Super Over against DC despite 51 off 28:

Nitish Rana on RR not selecting him for Super Over against DC despite 51 off 28: "One person never takes the call."

Despite hitting 51 off 28 balls against the Delhi Capitals, Nitish Rana was left out of the Super Over lineup as the Rajasthan Royals entered with Hetmyer and Riyan Parag.Nitish Rana remained in the middle until the 18th over of the chase after smashing 51 off 28 balls. At the Arun Jaitely Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday, the Rajasthan Royals sent neither batsman to bat despite Yashasvi Jaiswal's 51 off 37 balls in the Super Over against the Delhi Capitals. Eyes were rolling when Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag came out to bat in the Super Over. Rana wasn't even on the list of the three batters for the Super Over, but Jaiswal was chosen to bat following a wicket fall.RR's choice proved to be a poor one as Mitchell Starc of DC cramped the Hetmyer for space with yorkers and the reverse swing, allowing him to begin the Super Over with a dot ball. The Australian bowler was hit for four after missing his mark on the next delivery, but he recovered with another low full toss in the third ball. A single was taken by Hetmyer.Starc's low full toss was hit by Riyan Parag over third man for a boundary, sometimes known as a no-ball. After it appeared that RR would easily reach 15 with three balls left, the game took yet another sharp turn. RR was bowled out for just 11 as Parag and Jaiswal were ran out in the following ball.KL Rahul and Tristian Stubbs smash two sixes in the first three balls of Sandeep Sharma's Super Over to give DC a historic victory, so the total was insufficient. Following the game, Nitish Rana stated that the decision to send Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer instead of him for the Super Over was made by the RR management. Rana said he didn't have an alternative response, adding that if Hetmyer had hit a couple of sixes in the Super Over, the questions would have been different."The call is answered by management, not a single individual. Along with two other senior players and coaches, the captain is present. You wouldn't be asking this question if Shimron Hetmyer had hit two sixes. I'll respond with the same response. I have no other response. Every choice we made was the right one. Everyone knows that Hetmyer is our finisher. During the press conference, Rana stated, "He has previously delivered."

India's bold strategy aids in a quick T20 reconstruction

The world champions are creating an environment where players perform well without worrying about keeping their spots in the squad or taking wickets.Kolkata: Although it's early, the process and outcomes give hope that India would successfully defend the T20 World Cup at home the following year. Despite the pessimism caused by the Test and ODI transition issues, India's T20 trajectory stands out thanks to series victories against South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and now England. Even more so when one considers that Kuldeep Yadav, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and Yashasvi Jaiswal have not been parachuted in.This is most likely a greater accomplishment. However, they have approached it virtually undetected. No culture of stars. Verify. No set order for batting. Verify. Just a group of young, talented, and incredibly self-assured cricket players going about their business without worrying about career curves. By the way, all IPL linchpins.Captain Suryakumar Yadav acknowledges his lack of quality as he is left off the Champions Trophy roster. Abhishek Sharma thinks a ball is there to be struck, hence he doesn't count returns. As long as Tilak Varma is at the crease, the second Twenty20 match in Chennai demonstrated that no equation is too difficult. And the fact that India lost to 12/3 and then 79/5 at Pune on Friday, yet still managed to score 181, demonstrated that the previous game's disaster chasing in Rajkot was really a fluke. The realization that not everything can be managed lies at the core of this long-term upsurge. Earlier this week, Sitanshu Kotak, India's new batting coach, said it. "To achieve a score of 200 or 225, and if you are

An account of the water battles between India and Pakistan by Jawaharlal Nehru and Mohd Ali Jinnah

An account of the water battles between India and Pakistan by Jawaharlal Nehru and Mohd Ali Jinnah

Both leaders chastised Cyril Radcliffe for proposing to operate the Indus river-canal system as a joint Indo-Pak enterprise. His final effort to resolve the ongoing conflict that keeps coming up was that.Muhammad Ali Jinnah scolded Cyril Radcliffe a few weeks prior to his drawing the famous Line that separated India and Pakistan in August 1947. The Boundary Commission chairman was informed by Pakistan's founder that he preferred "deserts to fertile fields watered by courtesy of Hindus." Jawaharlal Nehru would then give a dressing-down as part of the "joint Hindu-Muslim rebuke."It was not Radcliffe's fault. His largest task in dividing the land was to assign control of the irrigation system, which was "built, with a good deal of British inspiration, largely by Sikh money, design, and sweat" to channel river waters through a system of intricate canals to the arid west, "turning the province into the granary of India" in order to combat the oppressive heat caused by a delayed monsoon in the soon-to-be divided Punjab. The majority of the land they irrigated was in the west, which would eventually become Pakistan, but the five rivers that provided the water were all in the east and would always fall under India. Radcliffe proposed to Jinnah and Nehru, via the Viceroy, that they administer this river-canal system as an Indo-Pakistan joint enterprise after realizing that Partition "vitally threatened" the vast watering network.

Exclusive: As the BJP seeks caste balance in the AIADMK alliance, Annamalai may resign as TN chairman.

"Delhi sees a bright future for him," the youthful Annamalai, whose assertive position on issues has given the BJP publicity in Tamil Nadu, if not political success thus far, was informed. As coalition negotiations between the parties pick up steam, K Annamalai, who is regarded as a major factor in the 2023 split between the AIADMK and BJP, may resign as head of the BJP Tamil Nadu. However, according to BJP sources, caste equations will be the reason rather than "punishment." The BJP does not want a Gounder to represent both the party and the AIADMK in the 2026 state elections if the parties run together. Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the leader of the AIADMK, shares Annamalai's heritage as a member of the powerful backward community and the Gounder-dominated western Kongu region. According to BJP insiders, the first official moves for a reconciliation between the BJP and AIADMK were taken when Annamalai met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi shortly after Shah's meeting with Palaniswami."Delhi sees a bright future for him," the youthful Annamalai, whose combative approach to issues has given the BJP visibility in Tamil Nadu, if not political success thus far, was told. The leadership responded by saying that Annamalai was expected to trust the party and adhere to its strategy. It is thought that Annamalai declared her total allegiance to the party. According to a top BJP leader, "he expressed that he has no regrets about his dedication to the party and is even willing to work as a mere cadre." "Annamalai remains a key figure in the party's long-term strategy for Tamil Nadu, whether or not he leaves his position as state president," stated another politician. It is unclear if he will assume a national function or a different state job.

Why Gujarat was the subject of the first special resolution at the AICC session before the 2027 elections

Why Gujarat was the subject of the first special resolution at the AICC session before the 2027 elections

The resolution lays out a plan for the Congress's 30-year absence from power in Gujarat, including resurrecting the organization, promising a caste census, and taking Gandhi and Sardar Patel's lead. Two days after the All India Congress Committee (AICC) session in Ahmedabad concluded with the passing of a Gujarat-specific special resolution outlining the party's agenda for the 2027 Assembly elections, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge sent a video message to Gujarati partymen saying, "Aap gharon se bahar nikaliye, badlav aapki pratiksha mein hai (Step out of your homes, change is waiting for you). "Kharge added that Ahmedabad's hosting of the first AICC session in the state since 1961 and an extended Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting at Sardar Patel Smarak in Shahibaug on the banks of the Sabarmati river on April 8–9 "proved" his party's "active and combative" organization in Gujarat, where it has been out of power for roughly 30 years.Despite being pumped up, Congress leaders expressed doubts about the cadres' ability to stay motivated until the elections, especially party veterans and young leaders. In a sudden move, the party leadership on Saturday designated one AICC observer and four Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) observers for each of the 41 DCCs. The DCCs will convene in Modasa, Aravalli district, on Monday to supervise the appointment of DCC presidents.

Which magnesium supplement is more cost-effective, body butters or oral pills?

Currently available in powder or capsule form, magnesium is no longer limited to oral supplements. Body care items including lotions, roll-ons, mists, and deodorants include this vital mineral, which is necessary for nerve function, muscular relaxation, and improved sleep. This is transforming how we think about bedtime wellness. However, is topical magnesium as effective as oral supplements? In order to investigate the science, the change in consumer behavior, and the true benefits of each form of magnesium, we consulted with industry professionals.According to Atul Rajani, the founder of Be, supplements containing magnesium mix the mineral with strong, scientifically supported components that are specifically designed to control the nervous system, reduce restlessness at night, and encourage deeper, more restful sleep. "Supplements work holistically, addressing the root of imbalances rather than just the symptoms," Rajani told indianexpress.com, whereas topical bodycare may provide momentary relief. According to Rajani, "magnesium is fundamentally responsible for more than 600 biochemical processes in the body, supporting everything from improved mood and mental clarity to blood sugar regulation, bone strength, heart health, energy production, and muscle recovery."The founder of Eden Skin Clinic and cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Ameesha Mahajan claims that the reason for the switch from oral to topical magnesium is the rise in gastrointestinal problems and the unpredictability of pill absorption. She clarified that transdermal magnesium, which is absorbed through the skin, is kinder and more focused. The inventor of Kasaya, Palak Sehgal, concurred that the goal is to diversify the ways in which individuals obtain their magnesium rather than completely do away with capsules. She cites three primary causes for the change:

We investigate whether the claim that a woman loses her hearing after receiving an intense kiss on the ear is true.

Can a kiss on the ear inflict long-term harm even though it seems like a pleasant, innocent gesture? A New York mother reportedly lost hearing in one of her ears when her child kissed her too forcefully on the ear, according to this Instagram footage posted by general practitioner Dr. Samuel. We asked the professionals to explain how that could occur. The main worry isn't the kiss itself, but rather what can happen after it, according to Dr. Ashesh Bhushan, Head of the ENT Department at Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital in Greater Noida. There is a little chance of harming the auditory system if the kiss involves a loud, abrupt noise or whisper close to the ear. Loud sounds, particularly those near the ear, can harm hearing temporarily or permanently. Hearing problems can be caused by "directly blowing air or applying excessive pressure to the ear, but this is rare," according to Dr. Bhushan. The ear is susceptible to pressure shifts and loud noise exposure. Activities that increase ear pressure, such as diving or flying, are more likely to produce conditions like barotrauma—pressure-related ear injuries—even if the gentle act of kissing is generally safe. In contrast to these more extreme situations, Dr. Bhushan continues, the chance of acquiring hearing problems from such benign acts is very low. However, blowing directly into the ear or making an atypically loud sound while kissing could cause sudden air pressure to enter the ear, which could cause short-term hearing problems. Rarely, the hearing loss could go away on its own without the help of a doctor. On the other hand, damage to the ear that results from physical trauma may be irreparable.

The science underlying Hardik Pandya's trademark no-look sixes and his bent bat

The science underlying Hardik Pandya's trademark no-look sixes and his bent bat

When Hardik Pandya knocks his signature no-look sixes, he does so with a casual demeanor; his timing, skill, and power make it appear effortless. His front-curved bat, a novel invention that has been around for a while but has mostly gone unnoticed, helps the star clear the rope. The groundbreaking "bat tweak" started in the 1990s when Sachin Tendulkar asked his bat manufacturer a question. He had seen that after a while of use, his bats would have a wonderful sweet spot—the wood would get compressed, giving the willow a "good dent." Tendulkar said, "Is it possible to have a readymade sweet spot?" The bats were no longer flat as a cutting board, and the response was "yes." They were convex as well.Hardik is a leading contender in the arms battle among six-hitters thanks to his abilities, conditioning, and bat. His bat has about 200 percent more curve than the competition, according to Sanspareils Greenlands (SG), a manufacturer based in Meerut.Hardik has two requirements: the ball must strike the sweet point of the curve and take off at the exact angle that will allow it to travel the furthest. As an SG engineer notes, it's all about the physics. The ball must take off from the bat at a 45-degree angle in order for its trajectory to form a perfect parabola in the air and travel the farthest. The batsman has a better chance of obtaining the perfect angle when the willow is bent. The throwing wedge on golf clubs has an angle that provides elevation. With the curve's assistance, we were able to provide an excellent angle. When struck with the proper force at a 45-degree angle, it travels over 90 meters. Here, that is the science. The ball is lofted by the curve. Anand remarked, "Hardik worked that out."To illustrate the workings of their Arc series bat, the SG engineers draw schematics on their notebooks and use 3D animation on their laptops. Few are longtime employees who have worked at the company for more than ten years and are unwilling to be identified. They are assets that the business cannot afford to lose or identify in a highly competitive market. One may comprehend why T20 cricket has turned into a batsman's game just listening to them. They discuss how the bat's surface lengthens and the sweet spot enlarges as the curve's degree increases. In comparison to a flat bat, a bat with a longitudinal curve has a longer surface if you measure along the curve, such as with a string. The sweet spot or high-performing zone expands as a result of this increased surface area. This implies that even with imperfect timing, the bat has more "forgiving space" to hit the ball accurately. According to a mechanical engineer who serves as Hardik's sounding board, "curving the bat helps increase the area where you get powerful, clean shots."
