Meta Allows EU Users to Access Instagram, Facebook, Messenger Separately to Comply With Regulations

"Users in the European Union, European Economic Area, and Switzerland will be able to disable information sharing across all of Facebook parent company Meta's apps. Residents in these areas will therefore be able to use Facebook and Instagram independently, even if they are linked on the network. In the meanwhile, Meta is going to alter the way messaging functions on its Marketplace platform and enable users to create a Messenger account that is separate from their Facebook account.  Users in the EU, EEA, and Switzerland who have already linked their Facebook and Instagram accounts can keep using them or unlink them ""so that their information is no longer used across accounts,"" according to a detailed post from the company outlining the changes being made to comply with regulations — the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA) — that Meta and other businesses must comply with.  A month after cross-app chats between Instagram and Messenger were disabled, Meta made its announcement. Three years after CEO Mark Zuckerberg declared that Meta would enable cross-platform chat, the company restricted messaging to individual platforms. In December, it also enabled support for Messenger's end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) chats.  "

Thomas Tuchel to leave Bayern Munich after 2023-24 Bundesliga season

"As a result of the squad's ongoing lack of consistency, the Bayern management was frustrated when Tuchel joined the team in March to take Julian Nagelsmann's place. After three straight losses increased the likelihood of the team experiencing its first trophy-free season in twelve years, Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel will depart the team at the end of the current campaign. The decision was reportedly taken during a meeting between Tuchel and Jan-Christian Dreesen, the club's chief executive. Tuchel's deal was set to expire at the conclusion of the 2024–2025 campaign. The team has not yet announced Tuchel's replacement. Tuchel's resignation was officially announced by Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen on Wednesday. For the 2024–2025 season, we intend to implement a sporting realignment under a new coach. Up until that point, each and every member of the team is specifically tasked with doing their absolute best in the Bundesliga and Champions League. I also hold the team members directly accountable. We are confident that, with the support of our supporters, we will proceed to the quarterfinals in the second leg of the Champions League at our totally packed Allianz Arena, following the 0-1 loss in the first leg at Lazio Rome. ""We have decided that we will end our collaboration after this season,"" Tuchel continued. Naturally, my coaching staff and I will keep working as hard as we can till then Of course, we'll keep working as hard as we can to guarantee the best possible outcome. As a result of the squad's ongoing lack of consistency, the Bayern management was frustrated when Tuchel joined the team in March to take Julian Nagelsmann's place. Tuchel's club won the Bundesliga last year for the eleventh time in a row, but they had to eke out a victory over title rival Borussia Dortmund on the last day of play to win on goal differential. Following their losses on Sunday to Bochum, Lazio, and Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern is now eight points behind league leader Leverkusen and will be eliminated in the round of 16 of the Champions League. Kylian Mbappe agrees to a Real Madrid move on a five-year deal,

"The 17-year-old Anmol Kharb was instrumental in India's 2-2 victory in three close games. She discusses picking badminton, advice from Sindhu and coach Gopichand, and other topics in this interview. When the Badminton Association of India made the wise decision to choose senior national champions for the Asian Team Championships, Anmol Kharb was content to have the chance to compete against elite international opponents. But the 17-year-old has returned, both with the beginning of an enduring love for chocolate bubble tea and a historic gold medal for India, who defeated Thailand 3-2. The Malaysian miracle youngster, like a happy song before the depressing Indian women's badminton scenario ends, talks about her incredible past five days. Take-outs: What does it feel like to win gold and become the sixth rubber specialist in India? Anmol Kharb: I feel really good about it. I played the Indian team in the finals, to start. That made the team's entire medal journey simpler. I was grateful for everyone's support and for reaching the semifinals. How did you approach the fifth and final important matches against China, Japan, and Thailand? Anmol Kharb There was no pressure; all I had to do was give it my all. For the first time, I was participating in an international tournament overseas, but everyone assured me that a win or a loss would not matter. What guidance did coach P Gopichand and PV Sindhu provide you? Anmol Kharb: ""If one point goes, stop thinking about it and just focus on the next one,"" Sindhu di would constantly remind me. Bolke, forget it, aage badho. Gopichand, sir, added, ""If point goes, no problem."" When rallies grew longer, I became a little concerned. I'm just a human, and I grew exhausted. He only advised not displaying your weariness to your opponent. Present a solid, upright posture as you confront the following point. You'll get the next point after that. That's precisely what took place. Why did you give up speed skating to play badminton instead? Anmol Kharb: When I skated, other opponents would frequently push me from behind. I became tired of having cuts and bruises on my foot all the time. It was indoors for badminton. What about badminton appeals to you the most? Who are some of your role models? Anmol Kharb: Hard-hitting badminton is my thing. I enjoy my own game the most. People frequently compare me to Saina di and comment on how similar our gaming styles are. I enjoy the game of Tai Tzu Ying outside of India. because of how dishonest it is. But I don't have enough time to practice and observe her shots so I can incorporate them into my game."

James Anderson Sets Audacious Goal Against India With 332 Runs

James Anderson, an experienced bowler for England, observed that India's batting strategy in the second innings was cautious on Sunday and expressed that "nerves were there to see" as the powerful hosts were unsure of a safe target against their "Bazball" approach. Day three saw England set a target of 399, but it appeared they would end up chasing much more in the afternoon session. India had a 370-run lead at teatime (227 for 6), but their long tail was not wagging again as they could only muster 28 runs in 14.3 overs in the last session. "I believe that today's performance demonstrated their nerves; they batted without knowing how many was enough. In the second innings, India's batting strategy was cautious, according to veteran England pacer James Anderson, who said that "nerves were there to see" as the powerful hosts were unsure of a safe target against their "Bazball" approach. On the third day, England was supposed to chase 399, but it appeared like they would end up chasing much more in the afternoon session. At tea, India had a 370-run lead at 227 for six. However, in the final session, their long tail was not wagging as they could only muster 28 runs in 14.3 overs. "I believe that they showed nerves today by batting so many times that they weren't sure how many was enough.Even tonight, he was itching to go out there and chase those runs down. We have prepared our stall; tomorrow won't be any different; we'll play in the same manner as we have for the previous two years. The 41-year-old, who bowled the best two innings for England, said, "Whether we win or lose, it's not relevant because we are extremely competitive and want to win every game we play, but we want to play in a certain way." With their ultra-aggressive style, Anderson claimed England has revolutionized Test cricket and cast doubt on the minds of their opponents.Over the past two years, especially in the last twelve months, there have been times when the way teams have responded leads us to believe that we're doing something right. Returning to the Ashes, the fact that the first ball of the Ashes has a point on the boundary tells us that we are doing something correctly. "I'm not sure if intimidating is the appropriate word, but it's creating a different mental image in the minds of the opposition and the captain. Today, it felt very much like that; they didn't seem to know what a good score against us would be.     The wicket is still in good shape; the occasional player is keeping low, but that's to be expected. Additionally, Shubman performed exceptionally well today, which indicates that there are still points to be earned.

Boeing 737 MAX9 operated by Alaska Airlines Resuming Flight Following Mid-Air Door Blowout

Three weeks following a mid-flight panel blowout and emergency landing that prompted extensive inspections of the aircraft, Alaska Airlines progressively resumed flights with its Boeing 737 MAX 9 fleet on Friday, the company said. Flight 1146 was the first flight, departing Seattle for San Diego at 2:20 pm and arriving in California at 6:14 pm, ninety minutes later.   The flight comes after the Federal Aviation Administration declared on Wednesday that the MAX 9 would be cleared to resume service through a maintenance and inspection program.Alaska Airlines stated that it anticipates having all 65 of its MAX 9 aircraft inspected by the end of next week, enabling it to resume its regular schedule.   "Each of our 737-9 MAX will return to service only after the rigorous inspections are completed and each plane is deemed airworthy according to FAA requirements," the business stated.    "The individual inspections are expected to take up to 12 hours per aircraft."   The FAA grounded 171 MAX 9 planes with a similar configuration to the one in the January 5 incident, in which a door plug blew out mid-flight.Inspectors have stated that although there were no major injuries in the incident, it could have been disastrous. In January, 3,000 Alaska Airlines flights were canceled as a result of the grounding. The company stated on Thursday that it anticipates the grounding to cost it $150 million. The first flight of one of United Airlines' aircraft is scheduled for Sunday; however, the airline did not rule out an earlier return to service. United Airlines possesses the largest fleet of Boeing models affected by the grounding order. This information was released on Thursday. One of the investigators from the US Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which is in charge of investigating the events leading up to the January 5 incident, informed AFP on Friday that the investigator was scheduled to return to Boeing's Renton plant in Washington state that day.    According to the agency, the investigative team will create a timeline starting with the production phases and ending with the in-flight mishap.

The amount is an estimate, and by the end of the week, it hopes to release an official figure that will enable the deal to conclude within the next five working days.
