Sandeep Goyal Expresses a Strong Desire to Purchase Dentsu's International Advertising Business Outside of Japan
Sandeep Goyal, the Chairman of Rediffusion and a seasoned businessman, has expressed his strong desire to bid for Dentsu's assets outside of Japan in a momentous move that might change the face of advertising globally. India may be a key player in the next bidding process for the Japanese advertising giant, which has been looking at strategic ways to sell off its overseas operations."We are talking to potential alliance partners and bankers to straighten things up," Goyal said in an interview with Adgully, confirming his intense involvement. There is a lengthy process ahead. His remarks highlight proactive discussions about the financial arrangements and cooperative alliances required for a transaction of this magnitude.Nonetheless, Dentsu's worldwide operations have encountered formidable obstacles, such as the problem of combining several acquisitions into a unified, successful organization. The company's international businesses have suffered significant losses totaling billions of dollars, which has led to cost-cutting measures like the elimination of about 3,400 jobs globally. In reaction to persistent underperformance outside of Japan, Dentsu started actively considering the sale of its foreign advertising company in early September and enlisted international banks to investigate possible solutions. Given his long experience with Dentsu, Goyal's involvement in this transaction is all the more significant. Goyal was instrumental in the establishment and expansion of the Japanese network's presence in India as the first chairman and promoter of Dentsu India and the impetus behind the company's initial forays into the Indian market beginning in 2003. Although he left the group amicably after over ten years of service, his affiliation with it still shapes his strategic perspective.

Why Indian consumers may find the iPhone Air to be a confusing option
Although the ultra-thin iPhone Air at Tuesday's Apple presentation attracted a lot of attention, it's possible that this marks the beginning of something new for both Apple and the smartphone market. The iPhone Plus models, which have been popular for years, will be replaced by this new iPhone for Apple. However, in contrast to those larger iPhones, this one also provides access to Apple's Pro processor line. The device places Apple in an odd position, particularly in price-conscious areas like India, even if the company believes it would satisfy consumers who demand a small and light iPhone with Pro features. Customers will inquire as to whether this is a more affordable iPhone Pro or a larger iPhone. Although it costs more than a standard iPhone, this model only has one camera in comparison to basic iPhones. Then, this will serve people who want a gadget that is slimmer and more powerful but aren't particularly concerned about its camera capabilities. The slim, light, and nearly weightless iPhone Air, weighing only 165 grams, lives true to its name. At only 5.64 mm thick, it's one of the thinnest iPhones ever, and its titanium construction makes it strong without adding weight. It's the type of phone that practically blends into your pocket or purse.

Abhishek Bachchan petitions the Delhi High Court to defend his personality rights.
Mumbai: Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan has filed a case in the Delhi High Court to have his personality rights protected, claiming that rogue websites were violating his name and image.Later in the day, Justice Tejas Karia will hear this request, which follows his wife and actress Aishwarya Rai's court appearance in a related case. Bachchan has appealed against Bollywood Tee Shop, a website that sells t-shirts featuring Bollywood stars. The website and other infringers were the targets of the petition, which claimed that the unauthorized use of his persona was a part of a larger trend of online fraud that takes advantage of celebrities' identities.According to Bachchan's plea, the website and other violators should be blocked, infringement-related URLs should be taken down, and Google and YouTube should be ordered to remove illegal content. Additionally, he asked that the order be extended to "John Doe" defendants, who are unnamed parties who might host similar infringing material in the future. One kind of court order against anonymous or unknown people is called "John Doe." In intellectual property and personality rights situations, it permits a celebrity, brand, or copyright owners to block not just the known infringers but also future or unnamed offenders who may misuse their name, image, or material.Bachchan's official lawyer, Dhruv Anand, asserted that the site was selling items, giving the false impression that he was endorsing it.

Closing Bell: Sensex up 324 points, Nifty above 24,950; IT and PSU Banks rise, automobiles down
On September 10, Indian equities indices concluded well, with the Nifty closing above 24,950. The Nifty was up 104.5 points, or 0.42 percent, at 24,973.10 at the closing, while the Sensex was up 323.83 points, or 0.40 percent, at 81,425.15.We'll be returning tomorrow morning with all the most recent news and alerts as we wind up today's Moneycontrol live market blog. To view all of the global market activity, please visit https://www.moneycontrol.com/markets/global-indices.On Wednesday, markets gained almost half a percent, continuing their upward trajectory. Following a gap-up beginning, the Nifty index spent the first half of the day moving within a small range. However, volatility in the second half of the day reduced some gains, and it ultimately finished around 24,973 levels. With advances of more than 2.5 percent, the IT sector maintained its recovery, followed by the real estate, banking, and energy sectors. The auto industry, on the other hand, saw profit booking following multiple outperforming sessions, losing more than 1%. With the midcap and smallcap indices rising between 0.75% and 1%, market breadth stayed strong, supporting the bullish tone in both frontline and broader markets.Positive foreign capital market flows following a period of persistent depreciation, as well as increased confidence regarding the status of trade discussions between the US and India, helped to boost sentiment and maintain the upswing.Although the markets are slowly rising due to encouraging signals, the Nifty will need to maintain its participation from the two main industries—banking and IT—in order to progress toward the 25,250–25,400 range. Support has moved to the 24,650–24,750 level on the downside. In order to build up fundamentally sound counters across the board, we advise employing intermediate drops or consolidation phases while keeping a positive bias.

Independent, Agile, Worldwide: How Team Pumpkin is upending the traditional agency structure
With its motto of "creative first, digital always," Team Pumpkin has made a name for itself in a field where performance and creativity frequently collide. Ranjeet Kumar founded the independent agency, which has expanded from its Indian origins to a global footprint while striking a balance between quantifiable business impact and storytelling. The founder and CEO of Team Pumpkin, Ranjeet Kumar, talks with Adgully about the agency's unusual name, its growth into Canada, and how independence continues to support its culture, adaptability, and future goals.Since pumpkins are a global sign of joy, celebration, and coziness—emotions we wish to instill in the brands we represent—we chose the moniker Team Pumpkin. However, like humans, pumpkins are incredibly adaptable and may be placed anywhere. As an organization, we were aware that we needed a name that was not just emotionally charged but also strategically distinct, memorable, and full of significance. In addition to appealing to our sense of fun and being instantly identifiable, pumpkin allows us to represent our creative energy, human-first philosophy, and nimble approach to business demands. The thing that shocked us the most when we first started was that brands were either working with digital-only companies where creativity was viewed as a secondary result or with traditional agencies that were attempting to "adapt" to the shift to digital. Digital campaigns that were very creative but performed poorly were clearly separated from those that were very successful but lacked imagination. We saw a need for an agency that treats digital as the platform for big ideas, brand-building, and storytelling—one that doesn't have to choose between the two worlds. That's how we arrived at our 'creative first, digital always' concept.Being a stand-alone organization is our biggest strength. We make decisions swiftly, are nimble, and move quickly. In order to enable our talent break away from systems and produce ideas that are based on the Indian context yet implemented to international standards, we encourage them to think freely but to collaborate closely. The freedom and responsibility that follow offer the opportunity to produce work that is both globally competitive and culturally meaningful.

Why Trump's tariffs may accelerate the trend of the RBI cutting its holdings in US Treasury assets
Over the past year, India has reduced its exposure to US Treasury Bills (T-bills), indicating a cautious move in the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) foreign exchange reserve policy ahead of US President Donald Trump's decision to impose a 50% tariff on Indian imports. As the trade-off is discussed in policy circles, a number of factors may come into play, but this pattern may become more noticeable in the future.Data from the US Department of Treasury shows that by September 2024, India's holdings of US securities had reached a peak of $247.2 billion, but by December 2024, they had steadily decreased to roughly $219.1 billion. As of June 2025, India, the tenth-largest T-bill investor, has around $227 billion in US Treasury securities, up from $242 billion in June 2024. The roughly $20 billion drop since September of last year is the result of a gradual cutover that took place over a number of months. The Indian Express Your monthly allotment of free stories has been used up. Sign up to read more stories. Register Have an account already? Log inAccording to analysts, under extraordinary circumstances—usually prompted by geopolitical or national security concerns—the US may freeze or restrict access to Treasury securities. Washington and its allies prevented Moscow from accessing a sizable portion of its foreign reserves stored abroad, including assets denominated in dollars and euros, when Russia invaded Ukraine. The episode made clear that the US can, under certain conditions, effectively deny a nation access to its Treasury holdings via the US financial system. A conceivable possibility, but an uncommon occurrence with limited precedent.A certain amount of moderation is seen in the RBI's own data. Overall foreign currency assets decreased to $567.55 billion in March 2025 as a result of India's holdings of global securities and T-bills, which dropped from $515.24 billion in September 2024 to $485.35 billion in March 2025. As of August 2025, the RBI has not yet released any data.

Who is Punjab AAP MLA Harmeet Pathanmajra, who is evading the police of his own government?
Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, a first-time MLA from a long line of political heavyweights, has always been the target of controversy. Police from his own government chased the Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Sanaur in the Patiala district on Tuesday.Earlier in the day, Pathanmajra was arrested on rape charges, but he escaped the Punjab Police with the assistance of accomplices who fired at the officers to keep them at bay. Hardev Singh, Pathanmajra's father, was a member of the zila parishad and a Congress sarpanch. Why it's never a good idea to do a DIY chemical peel
People all over the world are enamored with the idea of having flawlessly clear skin, whether they have glazed or glass skin. They are using expert treatments, such as wine baths and salmon sperm facials, in addition to skincare and makeup to reach their goals. In recent years, chemical peels have been increasingly popular among these. However, as members of the social media generation, it appears like there is a do-it-yourself solution for practically anything. By combining various acids, many people have even begun trying chemical peels at home.Even while your nani-dadi ke nuskhe were safe enough to try at home, trying a chemical peel is a very different matter and might cause significant skin damage. But first, comprehend...According to Dr. Ruben Bhasin Passi, dermatology consultant at CK Birla Hospital in Gurugram, "Chemical peels are skin treatments that use acid-based solutions to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin," India Today reports. According to her, these treatments function by encouraging cell turnover, breaking down dead skin cells, and boosting the creation of collagen.Peels can treat problems like acne, hyperpigmentation, fine wrinkles, and uneven texture, depending on their strength (light, medium, or deep). "While deeper peels like trichloroacetic acid penetrate deeper for more dramatic results, light peels like alpha-hydroxy acids target the epidermis," Dr. Passi continues.Additionally, according to Dr. Shifa Yadav, dermatology and cosmetology consultant at Artemis Hospitals in Gurugram, this procedure aids in the skin's regeneration of new, healthier cells, giving it a smoother, more even complexion. It is frequently used in skin care clinics to improve the appearance and feel of skin, but in order to prevent irritation or injury, it must be applied and maintained properly.Even though experimenting with at-home hacks can be enjoyable, practical, and even economical, it's crucial to keep in mind that not all conditions can be safely treated using do-it-yourself methods. To prevent long-term damage, certain beauty procedures—particularly those involving potent chemicals—require professional knowledge and expertise.According to Dr. Vidushi Jain, medical head of Dermalinks in Delhi-NCR, homemade peels frequently employ the incorrect acid concentrations without taking the safety of the skin into account. They lack the professional followup that such procedures require, which can lead to burns, infections, uneven pigmentation, and delayed healing. "Many kits have strong acids like TCA or glycolic acid that can harm the skin," says Dr. Yadav.

The newest short-lived beauty fad on TikTok? Appearing worn out
Dark shadows frame Jenna Ortega's eyes, which are somewhat smeared. She has a pale face with a hint of gray on her cheekbones. She has a hint of purple on her lips. She appears worn out, but that's the goal. "Tired Girl," the newest Gen Z makeup fad, embraces the appearance of not having gone to sleep. As long as there have been beauty standards, individuals have worked together to avoid appearing worn out. At least in part, the purpose of concealer, eye cream, and corrector sticks is to make us appear alert and youthful. In the past, looking exhausted has been linked to aging, poor health, and unattractiveness. On the other hand, Tired Girl beauty embraces the flaws that we have historically attempted to hide. The trend's contemporary poster girl is Wednesday Addams, the gloomy and emotionally reticent daughter of the Addams Family and the subject of Tim Burton's Netflix series, in which Ortega plays the lead. Similar to the first season, series two features the actor's pale skin and shadowed under-eyes, a style she just replicated on the red carpet at the London premiere of the program. Those who were not born in the Gen Z generation will be able to identify earlier allusions—consider a young Natalie Portman in "Leon" or Angelina Jolie in "Girl Interrupted."Actress Lily Rose-Depp, model and musician Gabbriette, and influencers Emma Chamberlain, Danielle Marcan, and Lara Violetta are among the other well-known modern admirers of the cosmetic trend. Some of the most popular tutorials on how to get the sleep-deprived appearance have received over 300,000 views, and as of late July, sleepy girl makeup has become a TikTok category.

Is sunscreen the solution to your acne problem?
Everything seems normal after a day in the blazing heat, including perspiration streaming down your face and the accumulation of oil and grime, until a pimple appears the following morning. And no, there is no rent included. It can be difficult to discover the correct remedy when your feed is overflowing with viral suggestions, 101 do-it-yourself solutions, and unending unwanted counsel. Understanding the underlying problem is the first step. Next comes the crucial query, "How can I fix it quickly?"According to experts, acne is not primarily caused by the sun. Sunlight cannot be regarded as a primary cause of acne, according to cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Ameesha Mahajan, founder of Eden Skin Clinic. Although it's a transient effect, sun exposure can cause people to feel dry and acne-like. "The sun's UV rays have the power to dehydrate the skin, impair its defenses, and cause inflammation. According to her, this causes an increase in sebum production, which is comedogenic—it clogs pores, causes blackheads, and can result in breakouts.Cosmetologist and KorinMi co-founder Jenovia Daun Jung shares this opinion. She warns that because they naturally create more sebum, persons with oily or mixed skin are more at risk. While people with combination skin frequently have breakouts in the oily T-zone during hot, muggy weather, sensitive skin might develop rashes. "I often see even dry or sensitive skin types break out post-sun because of barrier disruption and improper aftercare, such as skipping hydration or using harsh cleansers," Jung continues. Therefore, although the sun may not directly cause acne, it does create the conditions for breakouts, such as irritation and oiliness. This leads us to the next query: how do you really handle it? Although it might seem like the obvious next step to incorporate sunscreen into your daily routine, is it actually sufficient to protect your skin?

Is PCOS inherited or a result of lifestyle choices?
Ask any group of young women today, and it's likely that many of them have heard of or dealt with PCOS, or polycystic ovarian syndrome. Despite its widespread occurrence, there is still uncertainty over its true nature, how it differs from PCOD, and if it is inherited or caused by lifestyle choices. A hormonal condition known as PCOS occurs when the ovaries create more androgens, or "male hormones," than is typical. Ovulation is disturbed, which results in infertility, weight gain, acne, irregular periods, and excessive hair growth. However, PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease) is a little different. Cysts are caused by the ovaries releasing a large number of immature or partially developed eggs in PCOD. Although the two disorders have similar names, PCOS is more dangerous since it affects the entire body and is a metabolic and hormonal disorder, whereas PCOD is confined to the ovaries and is typically easier to treat. It is not a straightforward "either-or," according to Dr. Nidhi Sharma Chauhan, an obstetrician and gynecologist at Saifee Hospital in Mumbai. Both lifestyle and genetics are involved. There appears to be a hereditary component to PCOS. According to research, excessive levels of androgens or environmental contaminants during pregnancy increase the risk of PCOS in the developing fetus. Additionally, it can run in families, and some populations, like Asians, have a higher propensity for it, she notes. This does not imply that PCOS will develop in all individuals with a genetic connection. Dr. Chauhan explains that not everyone who has a hereditary risk to PCOS will get it. Lifestyle is really important. The illness can be triggered by factors such as weight increase, long-term stress, sleep deprivation, physical inactivity, and improper eating habits. There is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to PCOS. Some women suffer from infertility and irregular periods, while others have metabolic issues like weight gain and insulin resistance. Some women have all of these symptoms at once. There are several different types of PCOS. According to Dr. Chauhan, "some people may have the full spectrum, while others may have only one or two symptoms." This complicates diagnosis and necessitates a customized treatment strategy. Awareness is crucial because PCOS affects women in very different ways than illnesses with a distinct set of symptoms.

Axar Patel leads DC to a decisive victory over Rishabh Pant's LSG on a night that contrasts for the captains.
Returning to Lucknow for the first time since his unsatisfactory dismissal from the team, KL Rahul ended the game with a spectacular six to go undefeated in a run-chase with a 42-ball 57.On a night full of stories at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium, the Delhi Capitals won by 8 wickets in a 160-run chase, solidifying their status as this season's title contenders. KL Rahul, who is making his first appearance in Lucknow after his unsatisfactory dismissal from the team, ended the game with a spectacular six to go undefeated in a run chase with a 42-ball 57. In the twelfth over of their respective innings, LSG and DC both lost their second wicket. Axar Patel entered when a composed Abishek Porel collapsed. At this point, DC was only under a little pressure to take a few wickets, but it might have grown complicated because new batters take time to get comfortable. With two sixes over the midwicket zone, his favorite hit against spin, Axar took out Ravi Bishnoi in the very next over after Avesh Khan had dismissed him after four dot balls. In the following over, facing Avesh once more after being outscored by a few deliveries, he decided to take a chance and hit a four to try to clear the fielder at mid-off. The most impressive stroke came from Shardul Thakur, who took up a not-so-short ball with the weight still on his backfoot and sent it over long on for a six.

Nitish Rana on RR not selecting him for Super Over against DC despite 51 off 28: "One person never takes the call."
Despite hitting 51 off 28 balls against the Delhi Capitals, Nitish Rana was left out of the Super Over lineup as the Rajasthan Royals entered with Hetmyer and Riyan Parag.Nitish Rana remained in the middle until the 18th over of the chase after smashing 51 off 28 balls. At the Arun Jaitely Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday, the Rajasthan Royals sent neither batsman to bat despite Yashasvi Jaiswal's 51 off 37 balls in the Super Over against the Delhi Capitals. Eyes were rolling when Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag came out to bat in the Super Over. Rana wasn't even on the list of the three batters for the Super Over, but Jaiswal was chosen to bat following a wicket fall.RR's choice proved to be a poor one as Mitchell Starc of DC cramped the Hetmyer for space with yorkers and the reverse swing, allowing him to begin the Super Over with a dot ball. The Australian bowler was hit for four after missing his mark on the next delivery, but he recovered with another low full toss in the third ball. A single was taken by Hetmyer.Starc's low full toss was hit by Riyan Parag over third man for a boundary, sometimes known as a no-ball. After it appeared that RR would easily reach 15 with three balls left, the game took yet another sharp turn. RR was bowled out for just 11 as Parag and Jaiswal were ran out in the following ball.KL Rahul and Tristian Stubbs smash two sixes in the first three balls of Sandeep Sharma's Super Over to give DC a historic victory, so the total was insufficient. Following the game, Nitish Rana stated that the decision to send Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer instead of him for the Super Over was made by the RR management. Rana said he didn't have an alternative response, adding that if Hetmyer had hit a couple of sixes in the Super Over, the questions would have been different."The call is answered by management, not a single individual. Along with two other senior players and coaches, the captain is present. You wouldn't be asking this question if Shimron Hetmyer had hit two sixes. I'll respond with the same response. I have no other response. Every choice we made was the right one. Everyone knows that Hetmyer is our finisher. During the press conference, Rana stated, "He has previously delivered."

India's bold strategy aids in a quick T20 reconstruction
The world champions are creating an environment where players perform well without worrying about keeping their spots in the squad or taking wickets.Kolkata: Although it's early, the process and outcomes give hope that India would successfully defend the T20 World Cup at home the following year. Despite the pessimism caused by the Test and ODI transition issues, India's T20 trajectory stands out thanks to series victories against South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and now England. Even more so when one considers that Kuldeep Yadav, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and Yashasvi Jaiswal have not been parachuted in.This is most likely a greater accomplishment. However, they have approached it virtually undetected. No culture of stars. Verify. No set order for batting. Verify. Just a group of young, talented, and incredibly self-assured cricket players going about their business without worrying about career curves. By the way, all IPL linchpins.Captain Suryakumar Yadav acknowledges his lack of quality as he is left off the Champions Trophy roster. Abhishek Sharma thinks a ball is there to be struck, hence he doesn't count returns. As long as Tilak Varma is at the crease, the second Twenty20 match in Chennai demonstrated that no equation is too difficult. And the fact that India lost to 12/3 and then 79/5 at Pune on Friday, yet still managed to score 181, demonstrated that the previous game's disaster chasing in Rajkot was really a fluke. The realization that not everything can be managed lies at the core of this long-term upsurge. Earlier this week, Sitanshu Kotak, India's new batting coach, said it. "To achieve a score of 200 or 225, and if you are

Why Nepal Banned Social Media, And Why That's Not Only Trigger For Protests
Thousands of young Nepalese citizens took to the streets to protest the KP Sharma Oli government's decision to ban 26 social media services, including Facebook, YouTube, and X, resulting in 19 fatalities and over 300 injuries. The demonstrations began in Kathmandu, the nation's capital, and quickly expanded throughout the Himalayan nation. A number of locations, including important government areas, Baneshwor, Singhadurbar, and Narayanhiti, were placed under curfew.Police used tear gas shells and rubber bullets on protesters earlier in the day. Then, a young protester urged the others to disperse, claiming that special interests had infiltrated the gathering to incite it. The leader of the rally declared, "We have already won today," Following the violent protests, the Army was sent to the New Baneshwor region. The government of Prime Minister Oli declared that it has decided to repeal the ban as the protests erupted. Following a cabinet meeting, Nepal's Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, stated that the government has directed the relevant agencies to begin the process of resuming the use of social media sites in response to the demands of "Gen Z," which led a large-scale demonstration in front of the Parliament in the center of Kathmandu.Facebook and Instagram were among the social media platforms that Nepal banned on Thursday for failing to register with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. According to a notice, social media behemoths have one week, beginning on August 28, to register with the government. However, none of the following companies had applied by the deadline: LinkedIn, Reddit, X (previously Twitter), Alphabet (YouTube), Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), and others.Last year, the Supreme Court issued an order that prompted the government's actions. The social media behemoths were requested to designate a resident grievance handling officer and compliance officer, as well as to provide a point of contact. Since TikTok, Viber, Witk, Nimbuzz, and Popo Live are government-registered, they were not prohibited. It has been learned that applications from Global Diary and Telegram are being investigated.

This is what occurs to the body when exposed to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) in the environment.
There are two types of electromagnetic fields: low-frequency EMFs, which come from electrical wiring, and high-frequency EMFs, which come from things like cell phones and Wi-Fi routers.Concerns about electromagnetic fields (EMF) of various frequencies have been brought up time and time again by the World Health Organization (WHO), which has stated that "all populations are now exposed to varying degrees of EMF, and the levels will continue to increase as technology advances." It went on to say that everyone is exposed to a "complex mix of weak electric and magnetic fields, both at home and at work, from telecommunications and broadcasting to the generation and transmission of electricity, domestic appliances, and industrial equipment."In light of these worries, we were curious to learn more when we saw an Instagram post advising against using computers while they were charging. Another unnatural, man-made pollution that is interfering with human biology is electromagnetic fields (EMFs). It is without a doubt the most significant alteration to our environment in the past century. Although you can't totally prevent them, there are numerous ways to lessen your exposure, according to the post on Carnivore Aurelius' Facebook.EMFs are invisible areas of energy created by electrically charged objects, such as power lines, home appliances, and wireless devices, according to Dr. Haricharan G, senior consultant physician, HoD, internal medicine, Gleneagles Hospitals, Lakdi Ka Pul, Hyderabad, who we consulted for an expert opinion. "They can be divided into two categories: low-frequency electromagnetic fields (EMFs), which come from electrical wiring, and high-frequency EMFs, which come from cell phones and Wi-Fi routers," Dr. Haricharan explained.

Why India can't trust the Trump White House despite the proposed trade deal
A deal that the US president himself brokered is in direct opposition to US tariffs against Canada and Mexico. The WTO has lost its course, according to the US 2025 Trade Policy. With regard to commerce with the US, India cannot relax, BTA or not.In a move that could have a big impact on developing nations like India, which generally provide more protection to domestic industry than the wealthier, developed world, US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that reciprocal tariffs would be applied to trade partners regardless of their economic development. Trump's comments during a speech to the US Congress' Joint Session hinted that New Delhi might not receive any concessions on broad duties in trade negotiations. He specifically mentioned the automobile industry, claiming that India imposes tariffs of more than 100%.It's time for us to start utilizing tariffs against the nations that have been using them against us for decades. Generally speaking, are you familiar with the European Union, China, Brazil, India, Mexico, and Canada? Exclusive It was my duty to challenge Bollywood's romanticization of Karva Chauth, says Mrs. director Arati Kadav
Director Arati Kadav discusses in an exclusive interview how she rewrote the slow-burning thriller The Great Indian Kitchen as a coming-of-age tale without making the male characters blatantly evil. For some time, Arati Kadav has been marginalized. She is one of the few filmmakers who seems to effortlessly establish her voice, with a small but impressive body of work that includes two innovative shorts (55 Km/sec, The Astronaut and His Parrot) and an impressive feature-length debut (Cargo). Although science fiction seems to be her preferred genre, her skill is integrating the fantastical into this nation's social and cultural fabric. An independent female director, particularly one who creates entire universes on shoestring budgets, is not only ignored, though, as is frequently the case in Bollywood. After all, the guidelines have always been straightforward: follow them or go extinct. Furthermore, you never define the game. However, Kadav appears to have undergone a sea change in the last three weeks. Her fantastical sci-fi thoughts have long been ignored by the industry, but now it seems to be taking notice. It's not just them, either. The crowd has also thrown out its arms, anxious to hear her thoughts. Her most recent movie, Mrs., which stars Sanya Malhotra and is an official remake of the landmark Malayalam classic The Great Indian Kitchen, is at the center of this change. With good reason, the movie has become a cultural hot spot, buzzing on social media and elsewhere. Men are starting to face their reflections in dining rooms and during quiet talks, as if the movie has unintentionally put a mirror in front of them.Women have responded to Kadav in the most significant way. She feels connected to a sisterhood now. Women of all ages are sending her messages, not only from complete strangers but also from people she had lost contact with for a long time. She also discovers something uncommon in their words: a feeling of inclusion, as though the movie had somehow spoken for her and drawn her into a community she was unaware existed. This unexpected surge of acceptance caught her off guard. However, it is a long-overdue and welcome change in her life. She is now recognized by strangers in public places, which prevents her from thanking them for the movie.

What that entails for travelers is as follows! As part of its newest attempt to attract more foreign tourists, Thailand is getting ready to permit restricted alcohol sales on Buddhist festivals.According to Deputy Prime Minister Prasert Jantararuangtong, the government intends to permit the sale of alcoholic beverages in areas that have been officially approved. He told reporters Tuesday that the adjustment might be put into effect before May 11, which is a Buddhist holiday in Thailand. Due to its well-known beaches, vibrant nightlife, and reputation as the only Asian nation to decriminalize cannabis, Thailand is already one of the most popular travel destinations in Asia. However, many visitors who are looking for a refreshing drink to cool off in the tropical heat have been shocked to discover that pubs are closed on religious holidays. After the reforms take effect, not all locations will be able to offer alcohol, but hotels, locations for large events, and locations that are formally designated as service or tourist districts could accommodate thirsty visitors. There will be a 15-day public hearing before the proposal is certified by the health minister and then sent to the prime minister for approval.
