Sandeep Goyal Expresses a Strong Desire to Purchase Dentsu's International Advertising Business Outside of Japan

Sandeep Goyal Expresses a Strong Desire to Purchase Dentsu's International Advertising Business Outside of Japan

Sandeep Goyal, the Chairman of Rediffusion and a seasoned businessman, has expressed his strong desire to bid for Dentsu's assets outside of Japan in a momentous move that might change the face of advertising globally. India may be a key player in the next bidding process for the Japanese advertising giant, which has been looking at strategic ways to sell off its overseas operations."We are talking to potential alliance partners and bankers to straighten things up," Goyal said in an interview with Adgully, confirming his intense involvement. There is a lengthy process ahead. His remarks highlight proactive discussions about the financial arrangements and cooperative alliances required for a transaction of this magnitude.Nonetheless, Dentsu's worldwide operations have encountered formidable obstacles, such as the problem of combining several acquisitions into a unified, successful organization. The company's international businesses have suffered significant losses totaling billions of dollars, which has led to cost-cutting measures like the elimination of about 3,400 jobs globally. In reaction to persistent underperformance outside of Japan, Dentsu started actively considering the sale of its foreign advertising company in early September and enlisted international banks to investigate possible solutions. Given his long experience with Dentsu, Goyal's involvement in this transaction is all the more significant. Goyal was instrumental in the establishment and expansion of the Japanese network's presence in India as the first chairman and promoter of Dentsu India and the impetus behind the company's initial forays into the Indian market beginning in 2003. Although he left the group amicably after over ten years of service, his affiliation with it still shapes his strategic perspective.

Global TV advertising is changing, according to a WARC analysis.

As consumers move away from traditional linear TV and toward connected TV—streaming videos watched on a smart TV or a TV with an internet connection—the nature of television media is evolving, and TV advertising opportunities are becoming more accessible. The question of what constitutes television in 2025 and whether TV advertising should be categorized by format, device, or media owner has been raised by this shift. The most recent Global Ad Trends: The Changing Shape of TV report from WARC looks at ten years of ad spend data to understand the decline of linear TV and the reactive rise of connected TV (CTV). It also looks at why definitions of "TV" are changing and how a variety of data, device, and creative forces will shape the future of TV.Globally, linear TV ad spending fell by 27.5% between 2014 and 2024, and by 50.8% when inflation was taken into account. Sector differences include a 42% decrease in linear TV spending on tech and electronics and a 12% increase in spending on household and domestic goods. More than three-quarters of all TV investment is still allocated to linear TV, but more and more businesses are shifting their spending toward CTV, which, according to Nielsen, now makes up almost half of all TV usage in the US. According to WARC Media, the entire video market, excluding social media and YouTube, is expected to account for 15.9% of spending in 2025. Down from 41.3% in 2013 to just 12.4% presently ($143.9 billion), linear TV is predicted to fall to 11.3% next year, reaching $139.1 billion, the lowest level since 2005.Marketers are shown a strong desire to boost CTV spending, which is expected to reach $39.9 billion this year (or 3.4% of total share) and expand by 3.6% to $44.7 billion in 2026. According to Nielsen's 2025 Annual Marketer study, 56% of marketers worldwide intend to increase their OTT/CTV budgets, up from 53% in 2024. An examination of some significant fashion moments that shaped Giorgio Armani's legacy, from Richard Gere to Alia Bhatt

Giorgio Armani, a wealthy brand owner and renowned Italian fashion designer, passed away at the age of 91. He was the epitome of Italian grace and style, reinventing suits for both men and women for a contemporary market. Originally a fashion brand, Armani has since branched out into luxury hotels, music, cosmetics, scent, and sports. As the world laments the death of a trailblazing designer, we examine some of his most memorable fashion moments that still influence how we view luxury and style today.Richard Gere's appearance in the 1980 movie American Gigolo was the fashion event that really catapulted Armani into international fame. Julian, played by Gere, wore Armani's ground-breaking soft-shouldered suits, which contrasted with the period's stiff, structured menswear. A new manly image that was both sensual and powerful was established by the loose silhouettes and flowing, unlined jackets. Armani became linked with elegant masculinity as a result of this societal transition. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Armani's partnership with actress Michelle Pfeiffer revolutionized power dressing. Her appearances in Armani's flowing, architectural designs demonstrated the harmony between strength and softness. Pfeiffer's appearances on the red carpet wearing Armani's distinctive draped silhouettes and muted color schemes served as the model for contemporary celebrity fashion.Alia Bhatt's attendance at Cannes 2025 was a turning point for Armani's worldwide impact as well as Bollywood fashion. At Cannes 2025, Alia Bhatt debuted her second look, looking lovely in a blue Armani Privé gown embellished with jewels. His attendance at important award shows wearing Armani's flawlessly fitted tuxedos has continuously shown the designer's ability to produce clothing that is both classic and up to date.

RBI Can Still Cut Rates Despite Neutral Stance, Says Governor Malhotra

RBI Can Still Cut Rates Despite Neutral Stance, Says Governor Malhotra

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra has clarified that the central bank’s current “neutral” policy stance should not be misunderstood as a signal that interest rates cannot be reduced. Speaking to reporters, Malhotra explained that neutrality gives the RBI flexibility—it can raise or lower rates depending on how inflation and the broader economy behave.   “There seems to be a misconception that a neutral stance only allows us to hold or hike rates,” Malhotra said. “That’s not the case. We can cut rates if the situation demands.” His remarks come at a time when markets and analysts are closely watching for signs of a rate cut amid easing inflation and global monetary shifts.   Since February 2023, the RBI has maintained interest rates, focusing on controlling inflation while monitoring economic growth. Recently, inflation has slowed, increasing expectations that a rate cut might encourage borrowing and investment without exacerbating inflation.   Malhotra stressed that the RBI remains data-driven and won’t rush into decisions. “We will act based on incoming data. Our primary goal is to maintain stability while supporting sustainable growth,” he said. This balanced approach, he added, is what the neutral stance is meant to reflect.   In short, while the RBI hasn’t cut rates yet, it’s keeping the door open. The message is clear: flexibility is key, and decisions will be shaped by how the economy performs in the coming months.

Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, a first-time MLA from a long line of political heavyweights, has always been the target of controversy. Police from his own government chased the Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Sanaur in the Patiala district on Tuesday.Earlier in the day, Pathanmajra was arrested on rape charges, but he escaped the Punjab Police with the assistance of accomplices who fired at the officers to keep them at bay. At least one police officer was hurt in the altercation after being struck by a car.In recent days, Pathanmajra has publicly criticized the Bhagwant Mann-led AAP administration for its handling of the floods that have devastated the state, despite the fact that the rape charges appear to be from an old case.Pathanmajra, who came to the AAP after briefly joining several other organizations, comes from a family whose members were among the founders of the Akali Dal. Hardev Singh, Pathanmajra's father, was a member of the zila parishad and a Congress sarpanch. It is said that his ancestors paid Rs 10,000 towards the establishment of the Akali Dal in 1920, which was a princely amount at the time.According to Pathanmajra's 2022 election paperwork, the family reportedly has 250–300 acres of agricultural land spread over several states, with assets totaling Rs 2.4 crore. In 1992, the 50-year-old joined the Akali Dal's Badal group as a youth leader, marking the beginning of his political career. He quit in 2011, but he returned to the Akali Dal after a year of experimenting with Manpreet Badal's People's Party of Punjab, an Akali Dal dissident.Following an altercation at a district development panchayat office in 2015, Pathanmajra was dismissed from the Akali Dal for lack of discipline. According to reports, he then looked for a position in Congress and, after the party refused to provide him a ticket, ran as an Independent in the 2017 Assembly elections. Only 11,840 votes were cast for him, and he even forfeited his security deposit.

Jagdeep Dhankhar Resigns: Election Commission to Soon Begin VP Poll Process, No Rush from Government

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has stepped down from his post, setting the stage for the Election Commission to begin preparations for the next Vice Presidential election. While the poll process is expected to be announced soon, sources say the government is in no particular hurry to push it forward.   Under constitutional guidelines, the Election Commission is required to hold the Vice President's election within a set timeframe. Early talks within the Commission have already begun, and a formal schedule is likely to be shared shortly. In the meantime, the Rajya Sabha will operate under temporary arrangements, as Dhankhar also held the position of Chairman of the House.   Despite the vacancy, government insiders suggest there is no urgency to fast-track the election. With no immediate parliamentary session on the calendar, the administration seems content to let the process unfold at its natural pace.   Jagdeep Dhankhar, who took office in 2022, was known for his active role in parliamentary affairs and his firm stance on constitutional issues. His resignation comes at a time when the political climate is heating up ahead of several key state elections.   As the Election Commission gears up to announce the timeline, the focus will now shift to who could be nominated as India’s next Vice President. Until then, the process will proceed steadily, without political pressure to rush.

Why it's never a good idea to do a DIY chemical peel

Why it's never a good idea to do a DIY chemical peel

People all over the world are enamored with the idea of having flawlessly clear skin, whether they have glazed or glass skin. They are using expert treatments, such as wine baths and salmon sperm facials, in addition to skincare and makeup to reach their goals. In recent years, chemical peels have been increasingly popular among these. However, as members of the social media generation, it appears like there is a do-it-yourself solution for practically anything. By combining various acids, many people have even begun trying chemical peels at home.Even while your nani-dadi ke nuskhe were safe enough to try at home, trying a chemical peel is a very different matter and might cause significant skin damage. But first, comprehend...According to Dr. Ruben Bhasin Passi, dermatology consultant at CK Birla Hospital in Gurugram, "Chemical peels are skin treatments that use acid-based solutions to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin," India Today reports. According to her, these treatments function by encouraging cell turnover, breaking down dead skin cells, and boosting the creation of collagen.Peels can treat problems like acne, hyperpigmentation, fine wrinkles, and uneven texture, depending on their strength (light, medium, or deep). "While deeper peels like trichloroacetic acid penetrate deeper for more dramatic results, light peels like alpha-hydroxy acids target the epidermis," Dr. Passi continues.Additionally, according to Dr. Shifa Yadav, dermatology and cosmetology consultant at Artemis Hospitals in Gurugram, this procedure aids in the skin's regeneration of new, healthier cells, giving it a smoother, more even complexion. It is frequently used in skin care clinics to improve the appearance and feel of skin, but in order to prevent irritation or injury, it must be applied and maintained properly.Even though experimenting with at-home hacks can be enjoyable, practical, and even economical, it's crucial to keep in mind that not all conditions can be safely treated using do-it-yourself methods. To prevent long-term damage, certain beauty procedures—particularly those involving potent chemicals—require professional knowledge and expertise.According to Dr. Vidushi Jain, medical head of Dermalinks in Delhi-NCR, homemade peels frequently employ the incorrect acid concentrations without taking the safety of the skin into account. They lack the professional followup that such procedures require, which can lead to burns, infections, uneven pigmentation, and delayed healing. "Many kits have strong acids like TCA or glycolic acid that can harm the skin," says Dr. Yadav.

The newest short-lived beauty fad on TikTok? Appearing worn out

The newest short-lived beauty fad on TikTok? Appearing worn out

Dark shadows frame Jenna Ortega's eyes, which are somewhat smeared. She has a pale face with a hint of gray on her cheekbones. She has a hint of purple on her lips. She appears worn out, but that's the goal. "Tired Girl," the newest Gen Z makeup fad, embraces the appearance of not having gone to sleep. As long as there have been beauty standards, individuals have worked together to avoid appearing worn out. At least in part, the purpose of concealer, eye cream, and corrector sticks is to make us appear alert and youthful. In the past, looking exhausted has been linked to aging, poor health, and unattractiveness. On the other hand, Tired Girl beauty embraces the flaws that we have historically attempted to hide. The trend's contemporary poster girl is Wednesday Addams, the gloomy and emotionally reticent daughter of the Addams Family and the subject of Tim Burton's Netflix series, in which Ortega plays the lead. Similar to the first season, series two features the actor's pale skin and shadowed under-eyes, a style she just replicated on the red carpet at the London premiere of the program. Those who were not born in the Gen Z generation will be able to identify earlier allusions—consider a young Natalie Portman in "Leon" or Angelina Jolie in "Girl Interrupted."Actress Lily Rose-Depp, model and musician Gabbriette, and influencers Emma Chamberlain, Danielle Marcan, and Lara Violetta are among the other well-known modern admirers of the cosmetic trend. Some of the most popular tutorials on how to get the sleep-deprived appearance have received over 300,000 views, and as of late July, sleepy girl makeup has become a TikTok category.

Is sunscreen the solution to your acne problem?

Is sunscreen the solution to your acne problem?

Everything seems normal after a day in the blazing heat, including perspiration streaming down your face and the accumulation of oil and grime, until a pimple appears the following morning. And no, there is no rent included. It can be difficult to discover the correct remedy when your feed is overflowing with viral suggestions, 101 do-it-yourself solutions, and unending unwanted counsel. Understanding the underlying problem is the first step. Next comes the crucial query, "How can I fix it quickly?"According to experts, acne is not primarily caused by the sun. Sunlight cannot be regarded as a primary cause of acne, according to cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Ameesha Mahajan, founder of Eden Skin Clinic. Although it's a transient effect, sun exposure can cause people to feel dry and acne-like. "The sun's UV rays have the power to dehydrate the skin, impair its defenses, and cause inflammation. According to her, this causes an increase in sebum production, which is comedogenic—it clogs pores, causes blackheads, and can result in breakouts.Cosmetologist and KorinMi co-founder Jenovia Daun Jung shares this opinion. She warns that because they naturally create more sebum, persons with oily or mixed skin are more at risk. While people with combination skin frequently have breakouts in the oily T-zone during hot, muggy weather, sensitive skin might develop rashes. "I often see even dry or sensitive skin types break out post-sun because of barrier disruption and improper aftercare, such as skipping hydration or using harsh cleansers," Jung continues. Therefore, although the sun may not directly cause acne, it does create the conditions for breakouts, such as irritation and oiliness. This leads us to the next query: how do you really handle it? Although it might seem like the obvious next step to incorporate sunscreen into your daily routine, is it actually sufficient to protect your skin?

Is PCOS inherited or a result of lifestyle choices?

Is PCOS inherited or a result of lifestyle choices?

Ask any group of young women today, and it's likely that many of them have heard of or dealt with PCOS, or polycystic ovarian syndrome. Despite its widespread occurrence, there is still uncertainty over its true nature, how it differs from PCOD, and if it is inherited or caused by lifestyle choices. A hormonal condition known as PCOS occurs when the ovaries create more androgens, or "male hormones," than is typical. Ovulation is disturbed, which results in infertility, weight gain, acne, irregular periods, and excessive hair growth. However, PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease) is a little different. Cysts are caused by the ovaries releasing a large number of immature or partially developed eggs in PCOD. Although the two disorders have similar names, PCOS is more dangerous since it affects the entire body and is a metabolic and hormonal disorder, whereas PCOD is confined to the ovaries and is typically easier to treat. It is not a straightforward "either-or," according to Dr. Nidhi Sharma Chauhan, an obstetrician and gynecologist at Saifee Hospital in Mumbai. Both lifestyle and genetics are involved. There appears to be a hereditary component to PCOS. According to research, excessive levels of androgens or environmental contaminants during pregnancy increase the risk of PCOS in the developing fetus. Additionally, it can run in families, and some populations, like Asians, have a higher propensity for it, she notes. This does not imply that PCOS will develop in all individuals with a genetic connection. Dr. Chauhan explains that not everyone who has a hereditary risk to PCOS will get it. Lifestyle is really important. The illness can be triggered by factors such as weight increase, long-term stress, sleep deprivation, physical inactivity, and improper eating habits. There is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to PCOS. Some women suffer from infertility and irregular periods, while others have metabolic issues like weight gain and insulin resistance. Some women have all of these symptoms at once. There are several different types of PCOS. According to Dr. Chauhan, "some people may have the full spectrum, while others may have only one or two symptoms." This complicates diagnosis and necessitates a customized treatment strategy. Awareness is crucial because PCOS affects women in very different ways than illnesses with a distinct set of symptoms.

Axar Patel leads DC to a decisive victory over Rishabh Pant's LSG on a night that contrasts for the captains.

Returning to Lucknow for the first time since his unsatisfactory dismissal from the team, KL Rahul ended the game with a spectacular six to go undefeated in a run-chase with a 42-ball 57.On a night full of stories at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium, the Delhi Capitals won by 8 wickets in a 160-run chase, solidifying their status as this season's title contenders. KL Rahul, who is making his first appearance in Lucknow after his unsatisfactory dismissal from the team, ended the game with a spectacular six to go undefeated in a run chase with a 42-ball 57. In the twelfth over of their respective innings, LSG and DC both lost their second wicket. Axar Patel entered when a composed Abishek Porel collapsed. At this point, DC was only under a little pressure to take a few wickets, but it might have grown complicated because new batters take time to get comfortable. With two sixes over the midwicket zone, his favorite hit against spin, Axar took out Ravi Bishnoi in the very next over after Avesh Khan had dismissed him after four dot balls. In the following over, facing Avesh once more after being outscored by a few deliveries, he decided to take a chance and hit a four to try to clear the fielder at mid-off. The most impressive stroke came from Shardul Thakur, who took up a not-so-short ball with the weight still on his backfoot and sent it over long on for a six.

Nitish Rana on RR not selecting him for Super Over against DC despite 51 off 28:

Nitish Rana on RR not selecting him for Super Over against DC despite 51 off 28: "One person never takes the call."

Despite hitting 51 off 28 balls against the Delhi Capitals, Nitish Rana was left out of the Super Over lineup as the Rajasthan Royals entered with Hetmyer and Riyan Parag.Nitish Rana remained in the middle until the 18th over of the chase after smashing 51 off 28 balls. At the Arun Jaitely Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday, the Rajasthan Royals sent neither batsman to bat despite Yashasvi Jaiswal's 51 off 37 balls in the Super Over against the Delhi Capitals. Eyes were rolling when Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag came out to bat in the Super Over. Rana wasn't even on the list of the three batters for the Super Over, but Jaiswal was chosen to bat following a wicket fall.RR's choice proved to be a poor one as Mitchell Starc of DC cramped the Hetmyer for space with yorkers and the reverse swing, allowing him to begin the Super Over with a dot ball. The Australian bowler was hit for four after missing his mark on the next delivery, but he recovered with another low full toss in the third ball. A single was taken by Hetmyer.Starc's low full toss was hit by Riyan Parag over third man for a boundary, sometimes known as a no-ball. After it appeared that RR would easily reach 15 with three balls left, the game took yet another sharp turn. RR was bowled out for just 11 as Parag and Jaiswal were ran out in the following ball.KL Rahul and Tristian Stubbs smash two sixes in the first three balls of Sandeep Sharma's Super Over to give DC a historic victory, so the total was insufficient. Following the game, Nitish Rana stated that the decision to send Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer instead of him for the Super Over was made by the RR management. Rana said he didn't have an alternative response, adding that if Hetmyer had hit a couple of sixes in the Super Over, the questions would have been different."The call is answered by management, not a single individual. Along with two other senior players and coaches, the captain is present. You wouldn't be asking this question if Shimron Hetmyer had hit two sixes. I'll respond with the same response. I have no other response. Every choice we made was the right one. Everyone knows that Hetmyer is our finisher. During the press conference, Rana stated, "He has previously delivered."

India's bold strategy aids in a quick T20 reconstruction

The world champions are creating an environment where players perform well without worrying about keeping their spots in the squad or taking wickets.Kolkata: Although it's early, the process and outcomes give hope that India would successfully defend the T20 World Cup at home the following year. Despite the pessimism caused by the Test and ODI transition issues, India's T20 trajectory stands out thanks to series victories against South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and now England. Even more so when one considers that Kuldeep Yadav, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and Yashasvi Jaiswal have not been parachuted in.This is most likely a greater accomplishment. However, they have approached it virtually undetected. No culture of stars. Verify. No set order for batting. Verify. Just a group of young, talented, and incredibly self-assured cricket players going about their business without worrying about career curves. By the way, all IPL linchpins.Captain Suryakumar Yadav acknowledges his lack of quality as he is left off the Champions Trophy roster. Abhishek Sharma thinks a ball is there to be struck, hence he doesn't count returns. As long as Tilak Varma is at the crease, the second Twenty20 match in Chennai demonstrated that no equation is too difficult. And the fact that India lost to 12/3 and then 79/5 at Pune on Friday, yet still managed to score 181, demonstrated that the previous game's disaster chasing in Rajkot was really a fluke. The realization that not everything can be managed lies at the core of this long-term upsurge. Earlier this week, Sitanshu Kotak, India's new batting coach, said it. "To achieve a score of 200 or 225, and if you are

Opposition states point up a Rs 2 lakh crore income risk and demand compensation for the GST rejig.

Opposition states point up a Rs 2 lakh crore income risk and demand compensation for the GST rejig.

Opposition-ruled states demanded a clear compensation system on Friday, claiming that the Center's proposal to restructure the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates could result in losses of between Rs 1.5 and Rs 2 lakh crore. On September 3 and 4, they intend to bring up the matter at the GST Council meeting. To create a joint proposal, the finance ministers of West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala, Punjab, Jharkhand, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh convened. In order to offset income loss, they recommended levying an additional tax on luxury items and sin in addition to the proposed 40% rate. They claimed that the governments ought to receive a portion of the profits. Under the new arrangement, states may lose 15–20% of their GST earnings, according to Karnataka Finance Minister Krishna Byre Gowda. He added that states should receive compensation for five years until revenues stabilize, stating that the 20% loss in GST revenue would "seriously destabilize the fiscal structure of state governments across the country."According to Byre Gowda, the revenue-neutral rate (RNR) was 14.4% during the GST launch and then dropped to 11% following rationalization. He cautioned that the Center's plan to lower rates and slabs might further lower the net rate to 10%. "The revenue interest of the states should be safeguarded." People will suffer, development efforts will be hampered, and state autonomy will be weakened if there is a significant decline in state government revenue, he said. The Center has proposed replacing the present four slabs of five, twelve, eighteen, and twenty-eight percent plus cess with a two-slab structure of five and eighteen percent. Only sin and ultra-luxury goods would be subject to a 40% tariff.

"Why is everyone trying to....?" A viral post sparks intense controversy as an NRI in Canada claims that India's lifestyle is superior.

For many years, thousands of Indians were drawn to nations like Canada by the promise of a better life overseas, complete with better education, greater wages, and a more pleasant way of life. However, a subtle reversal is in progress. Due to changing ground realities and personal priorities, an increasing number of non-resident Indians (NRIs) are reconsidering the international dream and moving back home. In one such tale, a professional from Canada explained why, only a year after relocating, he is prepared to return to India. The user claimed he no longer sees "big benefits staying in Canada" after moving here with his wife and child last year while on a closed work permit. "I entered Canada last year with a closed work permit, accompanied by my spouse and child. While we were both employed in India, we managed to save 30 LPA, or $50,000 CAD. I think India offers a better lifestyle than here, after a year in Canada," he wrote. Please understand that even if we both work, we will still be able to save $100,000 CAD. I can't think of a compelling reason why my friends and coworkers chose to settle here. He outlined his reasons after weighing the advantages and disadvantages:Canada's advantages Free medical treatment (but he thinks Indian insurance can cover this as well) The only obvious benefit is free schooling. bigger automobiles and residences (which he believes are superfluous) Respect from family members (something he doesn't appreciate) Potential wealth following seven to eight years of a typical 9–5 workdayAdvantages in India The weather is pleasant. Cultural heritage and closeness to family Capacity to look after parents Improved digestion and food Possibility of starting a side business Support from the family when raising children

Before the IPO, Groww Founders Give Up Their Differential Voting Rights

SUMMARY: Groww cofounders Harsh Jain, Lalit Keshre, Neeraj Singh, and Ishan Bansal will also lose their differential voting rights as a result of the deal. The amount of bonus CCPs given to Groww's investors was unclear, even if they were given to current backers at no additional expense. This almost immediately follows rumors that Groww plans to submit its DRHP for a $1 billion initial public offering (IPO) to SEBI by April or May of this year. All current equity shareholders, including Peak XV, Ribbit Capital, YC Holdings, Tiger Global, and others, will get bonus compulsorily converted preference shares as part of the proposed deal, which also eliminates the founders' unequal voting rights.Groww, also known as Billionbrains Garage Ventures Private Limited, has undergone a major restructure that has been approved by the Competition Commission of India (CCI). The decision authorizes the issuing of bonus compulsorily convertible preference shares to all current Groww equity owners and permits some shareholders to obtain additional voting rights.

Oo La La' by Kingfisher is reimagined: an IPL campaign that combines music and cricket

United Breweries Ltd., a division of the HEINEKEN Company, has reworked its famous "Oo La La" jingle to create a lively clarion cry for good times with Kingfisher Premium Packaged Drinking Water. In keeping with its reputation as the "King of Good Times," the company releases two new brand films starring players from the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). They convey the joy, fun, and refreshment that Kingfisher has long been known for, set to two brand-new, funky tracks: Vibe, produced by Tamil rapper Paal Dabba and producer Sickflip, and Besabar, performed by popular regional musicians Bharg and Lothika. SRH actors Travis Head, Ishan Kishan, and Heinrich Klaasen co-star with LSG actors Rishabh Pant, Nicholas Pooran, and David Miller in the two brand movies. As players groove to Besabar in the LSG movie, artists Bharg and Lothika transform a routine moment into unplanned joy, honoring the combination of cricket, music, and culture. In contrast, a poolside wait in the SRH movie is transformed into a wild party thanks to the vivacity and sexiness of musicians Paal Dabba and Sickflip."This campaign embodies everything Kingfisher stands for—fun, energy, and unforgettable moments," stated Vikram Bahl, Chief Marketing Officer of United Breweries Limited, in reference to the release. The brand films make this spirit come to life through Kingfisher Premium Packaged Drinking Water's partnership with Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Lucknow Super Giants. We are reaching a younger generation that thrives on the blending of music, sports, and culture by collaborating with local musicians to give our legendary "Oo La La" jingle a new, contemporary spin. India's spirit is rooted in cricket and music, and this campaign embodies Good Times to the fullest.

Doctors express an urgent warning that reels are now causing eye issues after "brain rot."

All age groups, but mainly children and young adults, are experiencing an increase in eye diseases as a result of excessive screen use, especially binge-watching reels on social media sites.Following worries about the effect of short-form films on mental health, medical professionals are now sounding the alarm about a brand-new, rapidly developing issue: "reel-induced eye damage."Across all age groups, excessive screen time—especially binge-watching reels on social media sites like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok—is contributing to an increase in eye diseases, particularly in children and young adults. Leading ophthalmologists discussed this at the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology and All India Ophthalmological Society's ongoing Joint Meeting, which took place Tuesday at the Yashobhoomi-India International Convention and Expo Centre.Dr. Lalit Verma, president of the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) 2025 Congress, spoke sternly about the "silent epidemic of digital eye strain" brought on by prolonged screen time. "We are seeing a sharp increase in cases of dry eye syndrome, myopia progression, eye strain, and even early-onset squinting, especially in children who spend hours watching reels," he stated. "We recently had a student who came in complaining of blurred vision and ongoing eye irritation. Upon inspection, we discovered that his eyes were not shedding enough tears as a result of spending too much time at home viewing reels on a screen. He was given eye drops right away, and the doctor told him to observe the 20-20-20 rule, which calls for looking at anything 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes. The president of the All India Ophthalmological Society and chairman of the organizing committee, Dr. Harbansh Lal, described the gravity of the situation.

Exclusive: As the BJP seeks caste balance in the AIADMK alliance, Annamalai may resign as TN chairman.

"Delhi sees a bright future for him," the youthful Annamalai, whose assertive position on issues has given the BJP publicity in Tamil Nadu, if not political success thus far, was informed. As coalition negotiations between the parties pick up steam, K Annamalai, who is regarded as a major factor in the 2023 split between the AIADMK and BJP, may resign as head of the BJP Tamil Nadu. However, according to BJP sources, caste equations will be the reason rather than "punishment." The BJP does not want a Gounder to represent both the party and the AIADMK in the 2026 state elections if the parties run together. Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the leader of the AIADMK, shares Annamalai's heritage as a member of the powerful backward community and the Gounder-dominated western Kongu region.According to BJP insiders, the first official moves for a reconciliation between the BJP and AIADMK were taken when Annamalai met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi shortly after Shah's meeting with Palaniswami. "Delhi sees a bright future for him," the youthful Annamalai, whose combative approach to issues has given the BJP visibility in Tamil Nadu, if not political success thus far, was told. The leadership responded by saying that Annamalai was expected to trust the party and adhere to its strategy. It is thought that Annamalai declared her total allegiance to the party. According to a top BJP leader, "he expressed that he has no regrets about his dedication to the party and is even willing to work as a mere cadre." "Annamalai remains a key figure in the party's long-term strategy for Tamil Nadu, whether or not he leaves his position as state president," stated another politician. UPSC CSAT Simplified | Practice Set 8 will help you improve your CSAT skills as the 2025 preliminary exam approaches.

India's foreign policy has always been governed by the ideas of multilateralism, strategic autonomy, and non-alignment. But in recent years, India has taken a more practical stance, striking a balance between its expanding alliance with the United States and its long-standing ties with Russia. With a focus on maintaining a free, open, and inclusive regional order, the Indo-Pacific area has become a key area of interest for India's foreign policy. India's dedication to thwarting Chinese influence while fostering economic and security cooperation is demonstrated by its active participation in organizations like the Quad, which is made up of the US, Japan, Australia, and India, as well as its interactions with ASEAN nations. In order to better represent current geopolitical realities, India is still pushing for reforms in international organizations like the UN.
