EC requires pre-certification on all platforms and tightens regulations on digital ads ahead of state elections.

With the announcement of the Assembly election schedule for Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Puducherry, as well as by-elections in six states, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has implemented a more comprehensive regulatory framework to control political advertising, emphasizing digital platforms, transparency, and the control of misinformation.A pre-certification requirement for all political advertisements in electronic and online media is at the heart of the directive. The action is a reflection of the Commission's effort to stay up with the quickly changing political landscape, where voter perception is now significantly shaped by social media amplification and digital outreach. Before distributing commercials, all political parties, candidates, and affiliated organizations must first receive approval from the Media Certification and Monitoring Committees (MCMCs), according to the new regulations. This holds true for a variety of digital channels, such as social media platforms, e-papers, bulk SMS, voice messaging, and public audio-visual displays, in addition to more conventional electronic media like radio and television. While recognized political parties can apply for certification through state-level committees, candidates and individuals must apply to district-level MCMCs. To examine disputed rulings, an appeals process has also been established, with each state's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) serving as its head. The Commission has effectively extended regulatory authority deep into the digital ecosystem by making it plain that no political advertisement may be published or distributed on internet-based platforms without prior approval. In addition to certification, MCMCs have been assigned to monitor suspected "paid news" situations more closely, which has long been a problem in Indian elections. When content is discovered to be promotional but presented as editorial, the committees are supposed to keep a careful eye on media outputs and take appropriate action. Candidates are now required to disclose all official social media accounts in their nomination papers as part of a concurrent push for transparency. In online campaigning, where unofficial or proxy accounts have frequently been used to reinforce narratives without credit, this rule aims to ensure traceability and responsibility.

IPL 2026 Cultural Toolkit for Brands Folk Frequency Releases

IPL 2026 Cultural Toolkit for Brands Folk Frequency Releases

BARC India and Nielsen have jointly announced the launch of BARC | Nielsen ONE Ads, a first-of-its-kind cross-media advertising measurement solution that combines digital and linear television data into a single, unified framework, marking a significant milestone for the Indian advertising sector. The absence of a unified, single-source view of campaign effectiveness across screens is a persistent problem in the advertising ecosystem that the new approach seeks to solve. In order to maximize media spending, marketers and agencies need more integrated measuring solutions as media consumption continues to split across platforms and devices.BARC | Nielsen ONE Ads integrates Nielsen ONE Ads' digital measuring capabilities with BARC's linear television viewership statistics. Advertisers can assess actual campaign reach and frequency across the whole media landscape thanks to the platform's deduplicated view of audiences across various screens, including Linear TV, Connected TV (CTV), Mobile, and Computer/Desktop. JioHotstar will be the first platform to use the framework, starting with the ICC Men's T20 World Cup India & Sri Lanka 2026. The partnership is a major step toward measuring premium internet and television content across platforms. Further industry-wide cross-screen coverage may be possible in the future with further involvement from other broadcasters.

How CTV can prevent repeating the ad errors of linear TV for living room monetization

How CTV can prevent repeating the ad errors of linear TV for living room monetization

Connected TV live sports are about to enter a crucial period of recalibration. The medium is plagued by an old broadcast reflex: more advertisements equal more money, despite its promises of scale, accuracy, and living-room supremacy. A fundamental concern for the ecosystem is raised by the growing need to profit from every stop as live matches draw enormous concurrent audiences. To what extent can ad loads be increased before fandom becomes transactional and viewer immersion breaks down? Tolerance is a delicate currency in an environment where control and choice are paramount. This unique research explores what sustainability actually means during live sports by bringing together voices from the CTV, ad-tech, platform, and agency sectors. Beyond simple inventory counts, topics like experience design, temporal intelligence, creative ecosystems, and attention economics are covered. The emphasis is on creating a model where monetization does not come at the expense of loyalty, taking into account factors like the unpredictable nature of live broadcasts and the potential to increase interaction after the final whistle. The fundamental conflict is obvious: how well the ecosystem learns to use the screen, rather than how much advertising it can accommodate, will determine the direction of CTV sports in the future.

What is the reason behind Punjab Governor Kataria's abrupt praise of the Bhagwant Mann government in contrast to cooperation

What is the reason behind Punjab Governor Kataria's abrupt praise of the Bhagwant Mann government in contrast to cooperation

The Punjab Assembly's budget session began earlier this week when Governor Gulab Chand Kataria gave a speech that mainly commended the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's performance, despite opposition protests interfering with Assembly business and the governor's own anti-drug march weeks prior continuing to garner political attention. In sharp contrast to his predecessor, Banwarilal Purohit, who had multiple run-ins with the Punjab government, Kataria praises the initiatives of the Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government. The government drafts the governor's address, which summarizes their accomplishments.Governors Thaawar Chand Gehlot and R N Ravi, who has since been named governor of West Bengal, have recently omitted portions of their speeches that commended the state governments in states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, where the governors are perceived to have a tumultuous relationship with the state government.Mann's AAP government and Purohit had a number of issues between 2022 and 2024. One such disagreement occurred in early 2023 when the Governor first refused to approve the Budget session, which forced the state government to petition the Supreme Court. However, Kataria's 51-page speech on March 6 detailed the state government's efforts in a number of areas, including welfare programs, infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and anti-drug campaigns. The extension of Aam Aadmi Clinics throughout the state was one of the efforts that were emphasized. According to the governor, hundreds of clinics are currently in operation and have given locals crores of free consultations and medications. The speech also mentioned the government's "Yudh Nashean Virudh" anti-drug program, which includes outpatient opioid-assisted treatment clinics and de-addiction centers for drug addicts' rehabilitation. In order to improve government education, Kataria mentioned hiring thousands of instructors and creating Schools of Eminence. The address also mentioned road infrastructure upgrades, irrigation facilities, 300 units of free power for the majority of homes, and farmer welfare programs including increased sugarcane prices.Leader of the Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa and other Congress lawmakers frequently interrupted the speech by shouting slogans about things like law and order. Assuring the lawmakers that they could voice their objections during the discussion later, Kataria pleaded with them to let him finish the constitutional address first. Congress MLAs eventually organized a walkout as the protests persisted. Following the speech, the Governor spoke at a joint press conference with Mann, praising the Punjab government's efforts to combat drug misuse and enhance education. According to him, the Opposition ought to have let the speech end before voicing its opinions in the House so that their complaints could be legally documented.

Unauthorized reviews, dubious log-ins, and fuzzy documents: TMC MP to Supreme Court on SIR

TMC MP Dola Sen told the Supreme Court that Election Commission-appointed micro-observers were allegedly overriding decisions made by Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), the statutory authority for including and deleting electors, raising concerns that eligible voters could be removed from the final electoral roll during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in West Bengal. In two applications filed on February 16 and 18, Sen, a petitioner before the Supreme Court contesting the SIR, also claimed that documents uploaded to the system were becoming "blurry" after submission and that officials were allegedly logging into the ECINET portal from locations other than where they were deputed. On February 28, West Bengal's final electoral roll is expected to be released. The Indian Express asked the EC for comment on Sen's claims, but the EC did not reply. The EC only deployed micro-observers in West Bengal, which was a first, despite announcing the SIR in nine states and three Union Territories on October 27 of last year. The EC informed the Supreme Court on February 4 that the purpose of the 8,100 micro-observers, who work for the Central Government, was to support EROs and Assistant EROs (AEROs). The EC had stated, "It is false to suggest that statutory powers have been vested in the micro-observers."

India displays its entire armed might on the 77th Republic Day, with Operation Sindoor taking front stage on the Kartavya Path.

Top national leaders and prominent foreign visitors joined the festivities, which had as their subject 150 years of "Vande Mataram." About 10,000 distinguished guests saw the parade, which combined military might with cultural cohesion. At its 77th Republic Day parade on Monday, January 26, 2026, India put military might front and centre. Kartavya Path was transformed into a sweeping display of missiles, armour, mechanised columns, and combat aircraft, with a keen focus on weapon systems related to Operation Sindoor, the high-intensity military operation carried out in May of last year. The BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, Akash air defence system, Suryastra rocket launcher, and Arjun Main Battle Tank were among the major armament systems on exhibit at the start of the military demonstration, which emphasised India's focus on battlefield readiness and domestic defence manufacturing. A large portion of the equipment on exhibit was either used in Operation Sindoor, the confrontation with Pakistan that took place from May 7–10, or it was directly inspired by lessons learnt.A tri-services tableau featuring replicas of key weapon systems used during the operation was a big draw. A glass-cased integrated operational command centre served as its focal point, providing a visual representation of Operation Sindoor's execution through the coordinated use of systems including the S-400 air defence system and BrahMos. Akash and S-400 systems were depicted as offering a protective air-defense shield during the fight, while BrahMos missiles were predicted to perform decisive offensive attacks.Lt. General Bhavnish Kumar, a second-generation officer and General Officer Commanding, Delhi Area, led the procession. The Indian Army demonstrated a phased "Battle Array Format," including its airborne component, for the first time. The reconnaissance element included high-mobility reconnaissance vehicles after the historic 61 Cavalry in active battle uniform. Flying in Prahar formation, the domestic Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter and its armed counterpart Rudra displayed aerial battlefield shaping.

When you chew a piece of ginger every day for sixty days, your body experiences this.

Strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties can be found in ginger. However, what would happen if a person chewed a piece of ginger every day for sixty days? When we asked Dr. Amreen Sheikh, chief nutritionist at KIMS Hospitals, Thane, about it, he replied that it increases circulation, relaxes the airways, and progressively lessens throat inflammation. Many patients report decreased bloating, improved digestion, and fewer coughs after six to eight weeks. Ginger can ease the inner lining of the airways and provide general lung comfort for people who are susceptible to seasonal respiratory symptoms, according to Sheikh.Yes, but with reasonable expectations, Sheikh argued. Unlike medication, ginger does not "open the lungs." Rather, it operates subtly. It can aid those who frequently experience irritation from pollutants, relieve moderate wheezing from cold weather, and clear congestion in the throat. Additionally, by loosening mucus, its warming impact facilitates its expulsion during an illness. Ginger can help with long-term lung conditions like COPD or asthma, but it should never take the place of prescription medication, Sheikh said. While using ginger on a daily basis is generally safe, Sheikh pointed out that excessive use can cause oral irritation, cause acidity in those who are sensitive, or slightly thin the blood. Before developing a habit, people who take blood thinners or have gastritis or acid reflux should speak with a doctor. A tiny portion is more than sufficient; moderation is crucial," Sheikh stated.

Cough syrup deaths: TNFDA probe reveals Coldrif manufacturer's shortcomings

According to CDSCO sources, the investigation into the Kanchipuram-based Coldrif cough syrup producer, which was connected to child fatalities in Madhya Pradesh, has shown shortcomings in the Tamil Nadu Food and Drug Administration's enforcement of fundamental regulatory standards. They said that Sresan Pharma, which was granted a license by the Tamil Nadu Food and Drug Administration (TNFDA) in 2011, carried on operating undetected for more than ten years in spite of its inadequate infrastructure and many infractions of national drug safety regulations.According to the sources, a recent examination by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) revealed the unit's terrible conditions and complete disregard for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). "The CDSCO has not participated in any of Sresan Pharma's audits. This company was not included in any of the CDSCO databases since the CDSCO was not involved and the state FDA did not provide the CDSCO with any information on it, according to a source.Rule 84AB of the D and C Rules mandates that manufacturers update all of their certified items on the "Sugam" site, according to another source at the CDSCO.In order to facilitate improved monitoring, the regulation was notified to create a national database of all the authorized items in the nation. "The business failed to list its goods in the database. It did not follow this guideline as a result. According to the source, the state regulator is in charge of ensuring that the regulation is followed in the state.

Why it's never a good idea to do a DIY chemical peel

Why it's never a good idea to do a DIY chemical peel

People all over the world are enamored with the idea of having flawlessly clear skin, whether they have glazed or glass skin. They are using expert treatments, such as wine baths and salmon sperm facials, in addition to skincare and makeup to reach their goals. In recent years, chemical peels have been increasingly popular among these. However, as members of the social media generation, it appears like there is a do-it-yourself solution for practically anything. By combining various acids, many people have even begun trying chemical peels at home.Even while your nani-dadi ke nuskhe were safe enough to try at home, trying a chemical peel is a very different matter and might cause significant skin damage. But first, comprehend...According to Dr. Ruben Bhasin Passi, dermatology consultant at CK Birla Hospital in Gurugram, "Chemical peels are skin treatments that use acid-based solutions to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin," India Today reports. According to her, these treatments function by encouraging cell turnover, breaking down dead skin cells, and boosting the creation of collagen.Peels can treat problems like acne, hyperpigmentation, fine wrinkles, and uneven texture, depending on their strength (light, medium, or deep). "While deeper peels like trichloroacetic acid penetrate deeper for more dramatic results, light peels like alpha-hydroxy acids target the epidermis," Dr. Passi continues.Additionally, according to Dr. Shifa Yadav, dermatology and cosmetology consultant at Artemis Hospitals in Gurugram, this procedure aids in the skin's regeneration of new, healthier cells, giving it a smoother, more even complexion. It is frequently used in skin care clinics to improve the appearance and feel of skin, but in order to prevent irritation or injury, it must be applied and maintained properly.Even though experimenting with at-home hacks can be enjoyable, practical, and even economical, it's crucial to keep in mind that not all conditions can be safely treated using do-it-yourself methods. To prevent long-term damage, certain beauty procedures—particularly those involving potent chemicals—require professional knowledge and expertise.According to Dr. Vidushi Jain, medical head of Dermalinks in Delhi-NCR, homemade peels frequently employ the incorrect acid concentrations without taking the safety of the skin into account. They lack the professional followup that such procedures require, which can lead to burns, infections, uneven pigmentation, and delayed healing. "Many kits have strong acids like TCA or glycolic acid that can harm the skin," says Dr. Yadav.

Bihar Catch-22 Congress and RJD are hesitant to take action against MLAs who did not participate in Rajya Sabha elections

Bihar Catch-22 Congress and RJD are hesitant to take action against MLAs who did not participate in Rajya Sabha elections

Both parties are currently in a difficult situation after the Opposition Mahagathbandhan lost to the NDA in the pivotal Rajya Sabha elections earlier this week due to the absence of four of its MLAs, three from the Congress and one from the RJD. They are unsure of how to deal with them. Surendra Mehta (Valmiki Nagar), Manoj Vishwas (Forbesganj), and Manohar Prasad Singh (Manihari) have all received show-cause notices from the Congress, and the RJD has not yet made a decision regarding their Dhaka lawmaker Faisal Rahman.Asit Nath Tiwari, a spokesperson for the Bihar Congress, told The Indian Express that the notifications were sent out despite the fact that Rajya Sabha elections are exempt from the anti-defection law. "Top party leaders will meet and decide on the appropriate course of action after we receive their responses," he stated.Another Congress leader, however, pointed out that the MLAs make up almost half of the party's strength in the Assembly and suggested that disciplinary action was improbable. What happens if the Speaker acknowledges them as a distinct group? Regardless, the rebels weren't actually members of Congress. Singh is known to be close to JD(U) leaders, whereas Mehta received a ticket because of the influence of (Independent Purnea MP) Pappu Yadav," the politician stated.Rahman, the son of former MP Motiur Rahman, presents a similar problem for the RJD. "Faisal narrowly secured his seat in the Assembly elections last year. Additionally, we have verified that his mother was quite ill on March 16, the day of the election. The party is likely to call the MLA once our leader Tejashwi Yadav comes to Patna. An RJD senior stated that the party will not be provoked by NDA leaders "who want to further weaken it," although no official show-cause notice has yet been issued.

Big Bowling Changes, Sarfaraz Khan Debut, Harbhajan Singh Selects India XI for Second Test Against England

Harbhajan Singh, a former spinner for the Indian cricket team, selected the playing XI for the second Test match against England, which begins on February 2, and he advised significant alterations to the bowling attack. In KL Rahul's absence, Harbhajan suggested that Sarfaraz Khan make his Test debut, with all-rounder Washington Sundar taking over for the injured Ravindra Jadeja. In addition, he suggested that Rohit Sharma replace Mohammed Siraj with Kuldeep Yadav and field four spinners. This implies that the erstwhile star of the Indian cricket team, Jasprit Bumrah, will be the sole specialist bowler in the team."Sarfaraz ought to play at number five, in my opinion. On his YouTube channel, Harbhajan stated, "He has been scoring a lot of runs in domestic cricket and even for India A in the matches against England Lions."According to Harbhajan, the appearance of the wicket at Vishakhapatnam will determine whether Mohammed Siraj or Kuldeep Yadav is selected to play. Given that the track may be favorable to spinners, according to reports, Harbhajan recommended adding Kuldeep while keeping an eye on his World Cup performance."Kuldeep Yadav should be at position 11 instead. In addition to having the variations, he is able to rotate the ball in both directions. He recently had a fantastic World Cup performance. Kuldeep Yadav is the player the squad should choose if they want to add another spinner. Play Siraj if you think the pitch has something, but use Kuldeep as the fourth spinner if you believe the wicket is turning," Harbhajan said.In KL Rahul's absence, Harbhajan suggested that Sarfaraz Khan make his Test debut, with all-rounder Washington Sundar taking over for the injured Ravindra Jadeja. BPL week two Nawaz advances undefeated Khulna, Sylhet, continues to lose

BPL week two Nawaz advances undefeated Khulna, Sylhet, continues to lose

Chattogram's surprising hero was Oman's Bilal Khan, despite Barishal's Shoaib Mailk's sudden exit from the BPL.In the second week of the BPL's current 2023–24 season, all eight matches took place in Sylhet, which is regarded as the nation's best batting track. Even though Sylhet Strikers failed to score in five attempts, Khulna Tigers managed to stay unbeaten, having won four of their last five games. These are a few of the week's most noteworthy moments. While Khulna, who lead the table, continued their winning streak from the previous week with two more victories this time around, Chattogram Challengers were also playing well, having won three straight games to move into second place. Rangpur Riders also recovered from a loss at the beginning of the week with a pair of significant victories.Khulna, captained by Anamul Haque and featuring a sizable West Indies team, defeated Rangpur by 28 runs before destroying Durdanto Dhaka by ten wickets in a 131-run chase that they finished with over five overs remaining. Khulna's all-around player, Muhammad Nawaz, was the standout of both matches. Against Rangpur, he hit 55 off 34 balls and claimed two wickets; against Dhaka, he claimed 3 for 15. In addition to Nawaz, Anamul and Evin Lewis's constancy have helped Khulna.Conversely, Chattogram prevailed in both of this week's games. While they were just able to defeat 193 against Fortune Barishal by ten runs, they were dominant against Sylhet, taking 138 wickets at a cost of only 14 deliveries. Last season's finalists, it was Sylhet's fifth consecutive defeat. In addition to losing to Chattogram, they also suffered crushing losses to Barishal and Comilla Victorians.Mashrafe Mortaza, who was injured and commanded the team despite not bowling frequently, could have contributed to Sylhet's bad run. Since then, Mashrafe has made the decision to pause the competition in order to concentrate on his political efforts. It was "not ideal" that he was still in the side, as he had previously acknowledged. Since dew seemed to become less of an issue at the picturesque Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, the switch from Mirpur in the first week to Sylhet in the second may have contributed to the majority of wins for sides batting first. The chasing side won all eight games in Mirpur.Meanwhile, Barishal's Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik was the subject of a persistent off-field controversy. Malik bowled as many as three no-balls in an over against Khulna the week before, and Barishal owner Mizanur Rahman wasn't happy about it, saying "that's where we lost that match" as Khulna easily chased down 188. After just three games, on January 26, Mailk abruptly left the BPL, despite the fact that Malik's contract was "till February 14," according to Mizanur. Rumors of a rift within the team ensued after that, however Malik later clarified that it was untrue.

However, the preparation time for a speech that lasts only a few hours is about six months.Interim Budget 2024: On February 1 at 11 a.m., Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to read the Interim Budget 2024 in the Parliament. The Interim Budget, which will implement the major decisions taken by the Center, is the focus of attention. Prior to the Lok Sabha elections, the departing government presents the interim budget during the budget session. After winning the Lok Sabha elections, the newly formed government then presents the comprehensive budget. In addition to discussing the government's accomplishments since 2014, FM Sitharaman's Interim Budget is anticipated to look ahead to Amrit Kaal in 2047. Similar to the previous interim budget, the Budget 2024 paper is anticipated to provide historical context, assess the current situation, and outline plans for the future. A summary of the government's anticipated revenue and outlays through the formation of the next government is the primary purpose of the interim budget. A comprehensive budget, on the other hand, addresses every facet of government funding, including receipts and outlays as well as allocations and policy declarations. A full-year budget outlines the nation's economic course for the whole fiscal year and acts as a strategic plan. The financial data for the transitional phase is provided by the interim budget. The timeline for presenting an interim budget is identical to that of the Union budget during a regular fiscal year. The Interim Budget has grown in importance for the ruling administrations in recent years as a tactical instrument for national elections. It enables them to outline the ruling party's economic strategy and provide justification for reelection. Some significant modifications were announced by former FM Piyush Goyal in the most recent interim budget: > Earnings up to Rs 5 lakh are exempt from income tax; individuals with gross incomes up to Rs 6.5 lakh are exempt from paying taxes if they invest in authorized stocks and provident funds. The TDS level on interest on bank and post office deposits was raised from Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000. The TDS barrier on rental income was increased from Rs 1.8 lakh to Rs 2.4 lakh. The standard tax deduction for salaried individuals was raised from Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000. I-T will process returns in a day.> In the following two years, all tax return verification will be completed electronically without involving the taxpayer. a bundle of Rs.The 74-page report, "The Indian Economy: A Review," authored by Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageswaran, was delivered by the NDA administration this year. It provided an assessment of India's economy and outlined difficulties for the upcoming fiscal year. "This is not the Department of Economic Affairs' Economic Survey of India. Following the general elections, it will take precedence over the entire budget. The paper titled "Indian Economy–A Review" stated, "This review offers a brief sketch of the outlook for the economy in the coming years and takes stock of the state of the Indian economy and its journey over the last ten years." Following the presentation of the Interim Budget, a vote-on-account is held by the Parliament. This clause enables the government to secure parliamentaryA complete budget and an interim budget are comparable. One significant distinction is that it covers forecasts for a shorter time frame instead of the whole fiscal year. Without requiring a formal discussion, Parliament can pass a vote-on-account that just addresses spending.

Animal Sandeep Reddy Vangas political views and craft are equally immature.

Animal Sandeep Reddy Vangas political views and craft are equally immature.

Scene after credits: Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal is about as irredeemable as they come; it is intellectually bankrupt, morally repugnant, and stylistically incompetent. The film Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is unbearably long. It starts with the protagonist, Ranvijay, marching into his father's steel mill and being literally put on a pedestal. There, he gives a passionate speech about honor and commitment while the business, Swastik Steel, is nicely positioned against a swastika in the background. Ranvijay is furious because his father just made it through a vicious attack. He lifts his right arm in the middle of his diatribe and commands his subjects to take an oath. In just a few minutes, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's tribute to Adolf Hitler's Nuremberg rallies is over. You're a little taken aback and wonder, "Was this movie made by a child?"In contrast to Vanga's first picture, the effortlessly enraged Kabir Singh, Animal seems to have been made with offense in mind. However, as is often the case, insincerity is easily recognized. People were incensed by Kabir Singh's misogyny mostly because it seemed as though the film was determined to give its disturbed protagonist a free pass. The most provocative scenes are woven into the plot of Animal, a far more stylized and hence more challenging to watch picture, rather than the plot being provocative in and of itself. Ranvijay marches into a school carrying a loaded assault gun, tells his sweetheart to kiss his shoe, and gives a woman a lecture about menstruation. This kind of fake edginess leads to a movie where a phallic machineThe film portrays the natural neediness of its director, which is embodied in Ranvijay's never-ending need for his father's love, who isn't there. In the days after Animal's premiere—this was, after all, the period when he became a superstar—Vanga's principal grievance was that reviewers didn't find the film to be very good. Vanga never referenced Animal's hundreds of crores in earnings, even as the rest of his colleagues used the movie's box office numbers to defend its reckless politics, as if that mattered. He was staring at his Moby-Dick, and he was probably never going to get the critical appreciation that he appeared to realize in real time. And although though Vanga had just recently come to grips with this very likely truth, he was still having fits and insisted that Animal's "craft" should be valued separately from its themes. But let's talk about the filmmaking for the sake of argument. Vanga has refuted claims that he plagiarized Oldboy in Animal's pre-interval action block, but anyone who have watched Park Chan-wook's groundbreaking movie, a modern tragedy about the futility of retribution, would understand Vanga's motivation. Aside from the obvious spectacle of Choi Min-sik slicing through a swarm of foes, what really set Oldboy's iconic corridor battle sequence apart was the meticulously staged single shot that was captured on film.Since then, corridor fight scenes have become more and more prevalent; some of the best imitations can be seen in Marvel's Daredevil and Gareth Evans' The Raid. These two projects seemed to realize that the staging, not the location, was what gave Oldboy's pivotal battle scene its incredible intensity. Conversely, Vanga decides to keep the claustrophobic setting (as well as the axe) but eliminates the element that first gave the scene its unique quality. The action is hacked to pieces, with so many cuts that it would make a butcher blush, as though the director himself took an axe to the film.

More than 200 planes are delayed due to fog in Delhi.

More than 200 planes are delayed due to fog in Delhi.

By seven in the morning, three planes were diverted to Jaipur, one to Ahmedabad, and one to Mumbai, according to an airport official. Over 200 aircraft at Delhi airport were delayed as a result of the decreased visibility. Most of the aircraft used for the flight diversions were not flown by pilots with CAT-III certification. In aviation, an advanced instrument landing system (ILS) approach that makes landings in extremely low visibility situations (due to fog, rain, or snow) is referred to as Category III, or CAT III. Even in situations when runway visibility is as low as 50 feet (15 meters) and the visual range is between 50 and 200 meters, a CAT III system enables a precise approach and landing.Nevertheless, aviation operations under low visibility are additionally hampered by the airport's limited capacity for CAT-III compliant runways. The airport's oldest runway, 9/27, is not CAT-III compatible, despite having three other runways that are.Runway 28/10's operationalization, which is presently re-carpeting, has been delayed until the middle of February while the Directorate General of Civil Aviation completes its investigation. On one end, Runway 29R-11L complies with CAT-III standards, and by the end of the next month, authorities hope to certify it for CAT-III landings from both ends. Consequently, the primary runway for CAT-III flight operations at this time is runway 29L-11R.The airport official said that more flight disruptions could occur due to the rainy circumstances on Wednesday. The biggest airline in India, IndiGo, has alerted customers to possible travel disruptions owing to unfavorable weather conditions in Delhi, Srinagar, and Chandigarh. All departures/arrivals and the flights that follow may be impacted by the anticipated low visibility in Delhi (DEL), Varanasi (VNS), Patna (PAT), Ayodhya (AYJ), Bagdogra (IXB), and Darbhanga (DBR), light rain in Dharamshala (DHM), and snow in Srinagar (SXR) and Leh (IXL). "We kindly ask that passengers monitor the status of their flights," SpiceJet posted on social media site X.
