Anil Kumble, a former captain of India, has high praise for veteran spin twins Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin amidst the ongoing first Test match between India and England in Hyderabad. In Test cricket, the two players have taken more than 500 wickets between them; in the first innings against England, they each claimed three wickets. India has only lost four Test matches in their 49 matches together, winning 35 of them. On Ashwin and Jadeja surpassing him and Harbhajan as India's most successful Test bowling pair, Kumble hailed the achievement as "incredible".  From their first test match together to the 41st, these two spinners have been under constant pressure. It is amazing that they have survived those times and produced performances that win matches, whether it be Ashwin, Jadeja, or both," Kumble remarked.   "They have occasionally both caught five-fers. It's amazing that someone can consistently pick up five in the first and five in the second when someone else picks up five in the first. He continued, "You can't expect your team to win 30 games out of 40 when you do that."The renowned spinner added that Ashwin and Jadeja's aggressive mentality prevents the opposition batters from breathing. "These two are exceptionally intelligent. And because these two are always coming at you, it's difficult for a batter to breathe for even a single ball. The best thing about Indian conditions and spin bowling is that they are both endless. The attractive thing about these two bowlers is that they will be coming at you," Kumble said.   Kumble (281) and Harbhajan (220) had selected 501 for India in 54 Tests. In the meantime, in their 50th Test together, Ashwin and Jadeja have achieved a milestone.

"Although Glenn Maxwell is an essential component of Australia's white-ball team, head coach Andrew McDonald stated that he needs to ""hold up his end of the bargain"" in light of his ""less than ideal"" Adelaide incident. Maxwell was admitted to the Adelaide hospital last week after becoming intoxicated and passing out at a ""Six and Out"" concert, which featured former Australian pacer Brett Lee. He wasn't kept in the hospital for long and was discharged soon after and is now back in training.  I spoke with Glenn and we had a nice conversation about the incident yesterday. Moving forward, it needs to be taken into account that he takes care of himself,"" McDonald was cited as telling the Sydney Evening News. ""We've given him the opportunity to rest and rehab in that period of time and I suppose the lessons for him around that would be to take up his end of the bargain in that space and take care of himself."" Maxwell was rested for next month's three-match ODI series against the West Indies at home and he took the opportunity to attend a golf event in Adelaide before the incident took place."Glenn Maxwell should play cricket for Australia for the next three to four years, in our opinion. Is he going to be able to attend the 2027 World Cup in South Africa? Who knows? Denied Foreign Leagues NOCs Pakistani athletes considering leaving the national team

The current PCB policy, which was finalized under Zaka Ashraf's leadership, permits centrally contracted players to participate in two overseas T20 competitions in addition to the PSL.Following their refusal of NoCs to play in overseas T20 tournaments, a few of Pakistan's best cricket players are considering ending their core contracts with the board. The majority of the centrally contracted players, according to sources in the club management, are angry with the board for denying them permission to play in foreign competitions even though they are not bound by any national service obligations. "The matter has come to a head because recently the board refused NOCs to some players including Zaman Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Muhammad Haris (all centrally contracted) to play in the Bangladesh Premier League on the grounds that they had already played two leagues besides the Pakistan Super League," according to a source.He claimed that centrally contracted players would be permitted to participate in two overseas T20 competitions in addition to the PSL, per the existing PCB regulation that was finalized under Zaka Ashraf's leadership."But for the players who are not centrally contracted there is no such binding unless they are required on national duty." But when it comes to giving NOCs, the majority of contractual players think the board is acting in accordance with a contradictory policy that is determined by whims and fancies."The players feel that when there is no Pakistan assignment before the PSL why should the board stop them from playing in other leagues where they have good contracts," a another insider stated."The players' grouse is that the PCB does not even pay them anything to cover the losses of contracts not accepted because of PCB policies." There may be additional earning opportunities for players because of the proliferation of profitable T20 leagues in the cricket globe. Currently, three leagues—the BPL, the International Emirates League in the United Arab Emirates, and the South Africa 20 League—are staged concurrently.According to a board official, players who adhere to league caps will receive compensation. This is because, under the terms of their central contracts, players receive a substantial monthly payment from the board regardless of whether they play or not."The top category players are getting paid around 6 million rupees salary, those in category B get around 4.8 million so why are they complaining," asked a source. However, an agent for one of the players said that the board withheld high taxes from their pay and that elite players were receiving offers to earn anywhere from $100,000 to $300,000 for participating in five or more league games. "Are you aware of Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi's contract values for the BPL and ILT? All that needs to be said is that one of them has a contract worth USD 300,000, or between 75 and 80 million rupees." He added that players who lacked financial resources relied heavily on the leagues as a source of income."I think when the new Chairman takes over there will be proper discussions between the players and board to resolve this NOCs issue."
