Pakistan Minister Establishes 'Suryakumar Yadav Condition' for Asia Cup Trophy Transfer to India

Pakistan Minister Establishes 'Suryakumar Yadav Condition' for Asia Cup Trophy Transfer to India

In light of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) rejecting requests for a trophy handover ceremony, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) leader Mohsin Naqvi has reportedly introduced a new condition to break the deadlock regarding the Asia Cup 2025. During an ACC meeting on Tuesday, BCCI officials Rajeev Shukla and Ashish Shelar put Naqvi on the defensive by requesting that the trophy be stored in the Asian body's Dubai office for shipping to India.Naqvi, however, demonstrated little to no willingness to comply with the requests from the Indian board. A report by the Pakistani media outlet Geo Super states that Naqvi even opposed the mention of the trophy handover in the meeting, as it was not included in the original agenda. During a virtual meeting, Naqvi informed Rajeev Shukla, "This item was not included in the agenda for the ACC meeting." Naqvi, in response to the BCCI's insistence on the trophy's return, stated: "If the Indian team wants the trophy, the captain can come to the ACC office and collect it from me. "Witnessing Naqvi's lack of cooperation, the BCCI warned the heads of the ACC and PCB that if the trophy is not transferred to the Indian team within a specified timeframe, they will lodge a complaint with the ICC concerning this issue. As PTI reported, a source stated, “It was clarified that the BCCI would lodge a complaint with the ICC, and Shelar made a brief exit from the meeting.” During the tournament, the two teams faced off three times, with India emerging victorious on each occasion, including in the final. During the event, India upheld a 'no-handshake policy' with Pakistani players, which angered the PCB.Following the Pahalgam terror attack, where Pakistan-backed terrorists killed 26 Indian tourists, tensions between the two neighbors have reached unprecedented levels.

PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi Complains in Social Media Post Following His Asia Cup Final Trophy Incident

PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi Complains in Social Media Post Following His Asia Cup Final Trophy Incident

The Chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Interior Minister of the country, Mohsin Naqvi, who embarrassed himself internationally by taking the Asia Cup trophy after India declined to accept it from him, is now asserting that India has dishonored the spirit of the game. After suffering a crushing defeat to India, PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi—whose X account is withheld in India—reacted on the microblogging platform to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's congratulatory message following the match.“If war was how you gauged your pride, your shameful defeats against Pakistan are already chronicled in history. No cricket match can change that reality. Naqvi stated, "Dragging war into sport merely showcases desperation and dishonors the true spirit of the game. "PM Modi commended India’s renowned victory earlier, stating, “Operation Sindoor on the games field.” The result is identical: India wins! Congratulations to our cricketers.Naqvi's misunderstanding of historical events and facts is evident, and he requires a serious reminder of how often Pakistan has had to submit to Indian superiority in conflicts. Beginning with the signing of the Instrument of Surrender by Lieutenant General A.A.K. Niazi, head of Pakistani forces, to the Indian Army in 1971, which ended the war, and continuing through to the Kargil Conflict, where former PM Nawaz Sharif acknowledged their mistake in breaching the Lahore declaration.

BCCI Responds to Shreyas Iyer’s Sudden Exit from India A Squad

Shreyas Iyer’s unexpected withdrawal from the India A team raised several questions, especially with no official explanation at the time. The BCCI has now addressed the situation, stating that Iyer had informed team management about discomfort and was advised rest by medical staff. His exit, however, sparked speculation given his recent exclusion from the central contract list.   A report suggests Iyer may have been unhappy with the way his situation was handled by selectors, though there’s no confirmation from the player himself. For now, the BCCI maintains that his health was the only reason behind the decision. As the conversation continues, fans await clarity on Iyer’s future with the national setup.

Shaheen Afridi Comments on Haris Rauf's Provocative Gestures Toward India

The Super 4 match between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 last Sunday became a struggle that extended beyond just bat and ball on the cricket field. The actions of Pakistan’s Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan elicited a flurry of responses online, as numerous fans and commentators condemned the two for their childish behavior. As Pakistan was gearing up for its last Super 4 Asia Cup match against Bangladesh, fast bowler Shaheen Afridi fielded questions about Rauf and Farhan's gestures during the game.In an interview with journalists on Wednesday, Shaheen acknowledged that the team should not concentrate on on-field celebrations, as their purpose is to play cricket. “Listen, our task is to play cricket. “To be honest, everyone has the right to express themselves as they wish,” Shaheen stated when questioned about the criticism directed at Haris and Sahibzada for their actions against India. Shaheen attempted to minimize the outcry resulting from Pakistan's on-field conduct, stating, "Everyone has their own thoughts." “Each person has their own respect.” Each person believes that their way of thinking is the correct one. However, it is our duty to play cricket. And we have emerged victorious in the tri-nation series. Our goal is to win the Asia Cup. As a team, we are doing our utmost, with God's blessing,” he added. In the current Asia Cup, Pakistan has already experienced two back-to-back losses to India. It is possible for the two teams to meet again in the tournament final on September 28. Although none of the finalists has been confirmed yet, Shaheen expressed confidence in his team's ability to finally defeat India if the two teams meet in the title-decider on Sunday. "They have yet to reach the final. It will be seen when they get to the final. Our purpose in coming here is to win the final and the Asia Cup. We are prepared for any team that arrives. „Wir werden sie besiegen“, sagte er.

Pakistani legend Shahid Afridi

Pakistani legend Shahid Afridi "cannot comprehend" Haris Raufs struggles in the bowling alley

Shahid Afridi, the former captain of Pakistan, expressed worry about out-of-favour speedster Haris Rauf's ball-handling struggles over the last few months and suggested that he get the right advice. Rauf started his run of bad form during the World Cup last year, taking 16 wickets in 9 matches, but he also gave up runs all through the tournament. After bowling 49 overs, he gave up 346 runs. He continued on to play in the Big Bash League, skipping Pakistan's Test tour of Australia. During Pakistan's recent 4-1 T20I series loss against New Zealand, he made his comeback to the team. In four games, he took seven wickets while giving up 162 runs. Concerning Rauf's form, Afridi said he didn't know why the 30-year-old had been having trouble with his bowling. I'm not sure why, but it seems like Haris Rauf is having trouble with his bowling right now. He needs sincere assistance right now, and we shouldn't totally ignore him, so seniors' advice is vital," Afridi stated in an interview with a local news station, as cited by Geo News. Rauf's potential and his prior contributions, which led to 'great success' for the Pakistan team, were recognized by Afridi. He has represented Pakistan with some outstanding performances. That boy's longer-format cricketing career will only get better. He will naturally get better at bowling when he plays four-day cricket, but for now, Afridi said, he needs our help. Although the Asian giants showed flashes of brilliance, they ultimately lost the series 3-0. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) terminated Rauf's contract last week after he refused to play in the Test series against Australia. The PCB said in a statement that Haris' central contract is set to expire on December 1, 2023, and that no NOC (no objection certificate) will be granted to play in any foreign league until June 30, 2024. The statement claims that on January 30, the PCB management gave Rauf the opportunity for a personal hearing in accordance with the principles of natural justice, and his response was deemed inadequate. For Pakistan, Rauf has participated in one Test, 37 ODIs, and 66 T20Is. He has amassed 160 wickets in international cricket.

Ravindra Jadeja: The Party of Guilt

Ravindra Jadeja: The Party of Guilt

In the third Test match between India and England, Sarfarz Khan's run-out blunder with Ravindra Jadeja caused quite a stir. Sarfaraz Khan appeared to be going for a big score during his fast-paced innings when the terrible mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja occurred. By that point, Safaraz Khan had amassed a 48-ball half-century, which was the second-fastest score ever achieved by an Indian Test debutant since independence. But just when it appeared as though Sarfaraz Khan would score heavily, he was run out. AB de Villiers has now shared his thoughts on the matter. "Sarfaraz gets about sixty, but Jaddu unfortunately runs him out." Jaddu was undoubtedly at fault in this case, but his body language when he received his 100 right away showed disappointment. He was disappointed that he had run the young man out, but he celebrated in a very composed manner thereafter. "It was fantastic to witness an accomplished athlete accept accountability and nearly display regret on the field," de Villiers posted on his YouTube channel. "Sarfaraz had to walk off at 62, his first-ever Test match."Opening up about his dismissal at the end of the day's play was Sarfaraz Khan. Miscommunication happens occasionally and is expected in the game. You run out of things sometimes. In the post-match press conference, Sarfaraz Khan stated, "These kinds of things happen." Sarfaraz Khan went on to say that Ravindra Jadeja supported him during his entire innings. "We had a conversation during lunch. I'm the kind of batter who enjoys discussing current events with the bat. I told Jadeja to stay in conversation with me while I batted. He talked to me at lunchtime and gave me a lot of support today," Sarfaraz Khan remarked. He explained to me how debutants experience their feelings as well as his own. I admit that I was a little anxious, especially after I blew my first sweep. However, he assured me that it would be simple if I took my time. I tried putting what he had told me into practice." Sarfaraz responded to Jadeja's remarks during the run-out by saying, "He said there was a bit of miscommunication, but I said it's okay."

Before the T20Is against New Zealand, Mitchell Marsh discloses Australias starting lineup.

Before the T20Is against New Zealand, Mitchell Marsh discloses Australias starting lineup.

Mitchell Marsh, the captain of Australia's Twenty20 cricket team, disclosed the team's order of preference before the T20I series against New Zealand. According to Marsh, the top three spots are "pretty much set," with Travis Head and David Warner starting the inning and him at third base. The aforementioned trio has proven to be exceptionally cooperative and productive in past years, so there is minimal room for doubt about their roles in the forthcoming World Cup. Australia's top order looks well established ahead of the World Cup in June, especially in light of Glenn Maxwell's recent success at number four, which included a memorable 120 from 55 balls against the West Indies, and Tim David's consistent efforts at six in the same T20I campaign. When asked about his team's plans, Marsh acknowledged that "our top order is pretty set," but he also said that few of the 15-man New Zealand squad are expected to play all three matches over the next six days, and he gave no clues when asked about the likely middle-order lineup. He did not, however, disclose Steve Smith's role. We'll reveal our team during the toss, so you'll have to find out. We're here to win the series, but there will be some guys who will likely bat in different positions than they have in the past. I'll be there right away because I've batted three for the past eighteen months. I daresay that will be the top three, and obviously Heady and Davey Warner have been fantastic for us lately," the 32-year-old was cited by cricket.com.au. Marsh believes that Australia will always be able to attack because of their depth in the bat. "I found our batting performance to be quite impressive, as we were able to maintain our momentum throughout." Although there were times when we lost early wickets, one of the things I want from us is to always trust in our skill. He went on, "That may look ugly at times, but I think we've got a team that can really apply pressure with the bat and bat all the way down to eight or nine."A two-match Test series that begins on February 29 will take place after the series, which runs from February 21 to 25. Prior to the highly anticipated T20 World Cup, which will be held in the West Indies and the United States of America, this will be Australia's final bilateral series.

Yashasvi Jaiswal:

Yashasvi Jaiswal: "Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadejas Batting Motivated Me." Following the Second Double Ton

Star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal of India said he was inspired to perform better by the way veteran players Ravindra Jadeja and Rohit Sharma performed in the first innings of their match against England. Mark Wood removed Jaiswal for a score of ten in the third Test between the two titans of cricket in Rajkot. India's innings was then propelled to an incredible total of 445 by captain Rohit and seasoned all-rounder Jadeja. India took the lead thanks to 131 runs from Rohit and his fourth Test century from Jadeja. Having watched the spectacle from the dressing room, Jaiswal was fired up to score heavily in the second half. I was greatly inspired by the way that Jaddu and Rohit bhai performed in the first innings. Because of their fervor, their conversations, and their resolve to play each game session by session, Jaiswal stated as cited by ICC, "I kept thinking that when I go there, I have to make it count" while in the dressing room. "The way they were talking about the game, the way they motivated us, I think it's incredible to see them putting a lot of effort," Jaiswal said.Jaiswal amassed 214* runs in an undefeated innings that featured 12 sixes and 14 fours. With the help of six boundaries and three sixes, Sarfaraz Khan scored an undefeated 68* runs, contributing to an unbeaten partnership of 172 runs between them. The 22-year-old said, "In India, as you grow up, you work really hard for everything." He then gave some reflections on his journey and the value of hard work. You have to put in a lot of effort even just to board the bus. Since I was a young child, I have worked extremely hard to get to the train, auto, and everything else. I know how important every minute is, which is why I work."My main motivation for playing for my country is that, so I just make sure to give it everything I've got whenever I go, then have fun. Being a cricket player, I always follow my feelings. I perform well some times and poorly other times. I think it's amazing and I'm really enjoying it the way they come and the way they talk about cricket and everything else," he continued.

Meg Lanning,I Don Like the Word Retirement

Meg Lanning,I Don Like the Word Retirement

Meg Lanning, a former captain of Australia, is content to be in her "quiet" space and pursue her passion for franchise-based cricket worldwide, including the Women's Premier League, even though she dislikes the word "retirement". In November of last year, Lanning—who has amassed 3405 runs in 132 T20I matches—announced her retirement from international cricket. Last year, she capably guided the Delhi Capitals in the first-ever WPL, finishing as the competition's top scorer with 345 runs from nine games. In the championship match, the Mumbai Indians defeated the Capitals by a seven-wicket margin. The 31-year-old batter stated in a DC press release, "I don't like the word retirement, but it's been nice to be a little bit quiet, spend time at home, and play some cricket here and there." "I still love playing, and I've been looking forward to the WPL, so really excited and hopefully can help Delhi win the title this year." Lanning, who joined the team over the weekend and had her first training session with DC in Bengaluru, talked highly of the first WPL season and expressed her hope that the next one would be even better. "Getting outside and taking a little romp around is pleasant. Everyone appears to be in excellent shape. Everyone has made a lot of progress, and I'm really looking forward to what we can create this year," she remarked. That was a great time last year. I'm excited to bat first this year again with Shafali (Varma), as it was a lot of fun last time.We all got along well as a group, I believe. We seemed to be able to come together as a group, which made it easy and enjoyable to hang out both on and off the field. This year will probably be pretty much the same." DC will play the reigning champions in the opening game of the 2024 WPL season.

Ashwin became the second Indian bowler to take 500 Test wickets

Ashwin became the second Indian bowler to take 500 Test wickets

"Ashwin is the world's only third off-spinner to do this. Rajkot: In the current third Test against England, veteran bowler Ravichandran Ashwin became the second Indian bowler to 500 Test wickets. This feat was previously accomplished by former captain Anil Kumble. Ashwin is the world's third off-spinner to accomplish this. After Kumble, he is also India's second-most successful Test bowler. Kumble has amassed 619 wickets in Test cricket. On the second day of the third Test, the 37-year-old Ashwin accomplished the feat. To accomplish this, they only needed to take one wicket. When Zach Crowley, the England opener, attempted to sweep his delivery, he was flung into the air, and Rajat Patidar made a simple catch at short leg. Prior to Ashwin, only two off-spinners have accomplished this feat: Australia's Nathan Lyon (517 wickets) and Sri Lanka's renowned Muttiah Muralitharan (800). In Test cricket, Ashwin is the ninth bowler in the world to reach 500 wickets. In his 98th Test match, 2011 debutant Ashwin accomplished this feat. Before switching to off-spin, Ashwin, a Chennai-born engineering graduate, began as a batsman and attempted his hand at medium-fast bowling. He was compelled to spin bowl because of a back ailment at a young age. India lost five runs as a result of the batters racing around the field. Rajkot: During the third Test match against England, India was fined five runs for running into the middle of the pitch twice. England began their first innings with five runs for no wicket as a result. India was reprimanded by all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin for sprinting across the middle of the pitch. Joel Wilson, the field umpire, chastised Ashwin as well. Wilson and Ashwin were observed negotiating for Wilson to rush into the middle of the pitch on the second day of play, following the third ball of the 102nd over of the Indian innings. Earlier in the play on the first day, Ravindra Jadeja also done this. MCC According to Rule 41.14.1 of the United States, unfair play is ""deliberate damage to the pitch which is unreasonable or avoidable."" As per the regulations, the umpire shall be deemed to be the reason if he believes that his presence on the pitch is unreasonable. The rule states that a team will be given a ""first and last warning"" that is valid for the duration of the inning. The batting team will be punished five runs if any player on the squad does this during the innings. "

Interview with India hockey coach Craig Fulton Although we are not yet the greatest team in the world, we are capable of doing something exceptional.

Craig Fulton discusses his attempts to learn about the nation's culture, getting ready for the Olympics, why he enlisted Paddy Upton's assistance, and if he plans to visit Paris in an interview with The Indian Express.Craig Fulton, the head coach of the Indian men's hockey team, plays golf on the weekends. Every minute of the weekdays is also devoted to planning the route to the podium at the July–August Olympics in Paris. The South African, who helped Belgium and Ireland flourish, is now responsible for making sure India's growth narrative doesn't end after the team took home the bronze at the Tokyo Olympics.Fulton discusses his attempts to comprehend the nation's culture, including the caste system, in an interview with The Indian Express. He also explains why he brought in renowned sports psychologist Paddy Upton, who will travel with the team to the Olympics, altering India's playing philosophy and putting the finishing touches on Paris preparations by participating in test series in Australia and the Netherlands. We had a casual session one week after my arrival. I was interested in learning about the backgrounds and unique stories of each player. We then displayed a map, and they showed me their origins. We then began to connect the dots between the various locations of the players, and we found that there are distinct settings with isolated pockets and a large central block where most of the players are from yet speak different languages and dialects. I was forced to take this action because I was ignorant of the influences and the backgrounds of individuals involved. Gain an understanding of the caste system, including its internal workings and what it looks like. Just gathering information. Therefore, I believe the outcome would have been different if the game (against Australia) had been played in an empty stadium. We're attempting to play faster and tougher, therefore we're interested in what happens to the players, what's required of them, and what emotional choice they make next. When we enter the opposing team's half, what happens to our expectations? It passes through the ceiling. That explains why the spectacle is so exquisite. However, how does it help you if another team works on that and you're out of control in that area? Nothing to detract from the players' abilities or the supporters' fervor.2012: India came in 12th place. August 8, 2016. So, the 12th, 8th, and 3rd are our destinations. What is everyone anticipating now? For what number of years did that take? We are currently in a twelve-year cycle. The fact that 13 or 14 members of the team that competed in the Tokyo Olympics are still with us is the only true similarity I can find between Tokyo and our current situation. As you move into a new block, you are keeping more players. However, you also compare the people in the top 3 or top 4 in the same way. They also possess more. Everyone therefore does more during the Olympic year. It's a fantastic task.In my opinion, how can one support the Indian squad without elevating them beyond the rest? They are not the greatest squad in the world right now, but they have the ability to accomplish something exceptional. We haven't arrived yet. We are aware of who and where we are. We are aware of our differences from other teams. However, I also wish you well if you consider Australia to be rated sixth in the world.

IND vs ENG Ravindra Jadeja apologizes to Sarfaraz Khan after run-out incident

"With his innings progressing quickly—he reached his first half century in just 48 balls—Sarfaraz's desire to stay in the middle was cut short when he miscommunicated with Jadeja. On Thursday, Ravindra Jadeja expressed his regret to teammate Sarfaraz Khan for unintentionally running him out during the first day of the third Test match between India and England in Rajkot. With his innings progressing quickly—he reached his first half century in just 48 balls—Sarfaraz's desire to stay in the middle was cut short when he miscommunicated with Jadeja. The episode also prompted Indian captain Rohit Sharma's enraged response in the locker room, as the 36-year-old was seen by the television cameras discarding his a cap following the run out. Following the game, Jadeja apologised to Sarfaraz on Instagram for the confusion. I'm sorry about Sarfaraz Khan. I made the incorrect call. The seasoned all-around player said, ""Well played,"" on his Instagram story. In the press conference following the game, Sarfaraz had already mentioned the occurrence, stating that incidents like these are normal parts of the sport. ""He entered the changing room and said, 'There was a slight miscommunication, so it happened.'"" ""Ye hota rehta hai,"" I said to him. It's all part of the fun,"" Sarfaraz remarked. Following India's defeat, Sarfaraz produced a counterattack, pickpocketing nine fours and one maximum in his debut innings for the whites then added an 87-run partnership with Jadeja after that. In Rajkot earlier, India had won the toss and chosen to bat first. Nevertheless, the hosts lost three wickets in the opening session and were 33/3 when Jadeja entered the field in place of captain Rohit Sharma. The day's two centurions then combined for a 204-run partnership for the fourth wicket. India finished the day with 326 runs scored and Jadeja undefeated at 110, despite losing five wickets. Kuldeep Yadav had just begun his innings, while Dhruv Jurel, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Axar Patel were still to come."

MS Dhoni Refused Crores Of Rupees Contract Bat Manufacturer Shares Stunning Tale

MS Dhoni Refused Crores Of Rupees Contract Bat Manufacturer Shares Stunning Tale

"Using BAS bats in his early career, MS Dhoni gave up contracts worth millions of rupees to show his appreciation to the manufacturer who had supported him in the beginning. One of the all-time greats in cricket, MS Dhoni is a genuine legend of the sport, respected as much for his contributions off the pitch as for his character. The wicket-keeper batsman has begun training ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, despite the fact that he is no longer an international player. Although supporters were happy to see Dhoni return to cricket, his bat sticker garnered media attention. By including the name of his old friend's store on the sticker on his bat, Dhoni showed his appreciation for the man and received a lot of several accolades. However, it wasn't the first time Dhoni had shown kindness to a stranger. The batsman from Ranchi, who was born in India, used a bat made by BAS in the early years of his career. This is not the first tale that has surfaced on social media. The proprietor of BAS, Mr. Somi Kohli, disclosed in a social media video how Dhoni turned down a lucrative contract in exchange for a bat manufacturer's sticker as recompense for the assistance he received in his formative cricketing years. ""Dhoni made no mention of cash. ""Put your stickers on my bats and send them across,"" was all he said. 'You're letting go of such a valuable contract,' I attempted to persuade him. He declined to accept millions of rupees value of the agreement. I asked for his mother, father, and wife, Sakshi. even shared with Paramjit from Ranchi and his CA. The day before the World Cup, they all went to his house. 'No, it's my decision,' he said,"" Mr. Kohli stated in a video posted on the Sports Launchpad YouTube channel. Recently, a photo of Dhoni playing in the nets with a ""Prime Sports"" bat went viral on social media. The former captain of India took this action as a way to repay his friend, the proprietor of the nearby sports store. Even the illustrious Adam Gilchrist discussed Dhoni's gesture while providing analysis during Australia and the West Indies' second Twenty20 International."

Why boxer Amit Panghal is in no mood to celebrate latest gold medal at Strandja Memorial

Why boxer Amit Panghal is in no mood to celebrate latest gold medal at Strandja Memorial

The silver medallist in the World Championship is furious that Deepak Bhoria climbed the ladder at his expense, and the OTA recorded a net profit of INR 23.4 Cr in FY. When the referee held up his hand, there was not even a hint of a smile or any jumping in the air. Amit Panghal, wearing a gloomy expression, knew that he had completed the task at hand when he won the gold medal at the Strandja Memorial. This has been his routine since the Commonwealth Games. The self-assurance and arrogance of a man who had been the first male boxer from India to win a silver medal at the World Championships had vanished. The Panghal at this time resembled the one at the the Tokyo Olympics, despite being the top seed in his weight class, collapsed in a heap following a shocking loss. He has only participated in one significant event since that heartbreaking defeat: the Birmingham CWG in 2022. After winning two World Championships and an Asian Games, the boxer has noticed a decline in his standing compared to fellow army fighter Deepak Bhoria. "Winning the gold medal in the Strandja or any other medal means nothing to me. "What's the point if they won't send me to competitions where I deserve to go?" a dejected Panghal exclaimed as she returned to India from Bulgaria. A point of contention for the Rohtak boxer remains the selection criteria for major tournaments and camps, which are run by high-profile instructor Bernard Dunne and his team of foreign and Indian coaches. Rather than focusing on tests to determine the best boxers in a heavyweight class, the Irishman said regular training camp evaluations by coaches are a better indicator of who is the best boxer in a heavyweight class. “Choosing this method, the most important thing was to explain it to the athletes. We talked to them about why we did it. Tryouts are just a moment when judges and referees sit down and pick winners. Instead, the system we put in — in terms of evaluation, the coaches and I work day in and day out — and it's not based on one moment, it's based on a period of time,” Dunne said. reporters 2023 Women's World Cup in New Delhi.. But the 28-year-old Panghal claims that during the past few years, he has had the exact opposite—clarity. His main grievance is that he and the coaches have not communicated well on the evaluation process. There are various categories in the evaluation, and each fighter can receive up to 10 points in each category. Attendance, weight control, potential for international performance, strength and conditioning, health management, and training performance are among the categories.

Rajkot Test Will India Bring In Jadeja And Jurel?

Following his absence from the second Test in Visakhapatnam due to a hamstring injury, Ravindra Jadeja is scheduled to return. India will try to carry over their winning streak after winning the Vizag Test when they play England in the third Test, which begins on Thursday, February 15, 2024, in Rajkot. The Indian team is still struggling with injuries as K L Rahul was unable to fully recover from his injury and Virat Kohli is still out for personal reasons. However, when spin all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was declared fit for his home Test, they received a welcome boost. In the most recent Test at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, which will be called the Niranjan Shah Stadium, Jadeja had scored a century. There have been two Tests at the venue so far, with India winning one and the other ending in a draw. India and England played the first Test at this venue in 2016, where the visitors fared quite well as the hosts somehow managed a draw on the fifth day. Later, India defeated the Indian Ocean. India's batting has been a major problem in the series, but Yashasvi Jaiswal has been the standout performer so far with a double century in the Vizag Test.Shubman Gill ended his poor run in Test cricket with a landmark century in the second Test, but captain Rohit Sharma is yet to find his form as he managed just 90 runs in four innings. Shreyas Iyer, who has similar numbers (104 runs in 4 innings), has been dropped, meaning that India will get a new look middle order in the Rajkot Test. Rajat Patidar, who scored 41 runs on debut in Vizag, is expected to retain his place in the middle order and bat at No.4. He will be followed by Mumbai's run machine Sarfaraz Khan, who will finally get his first chance. on an international level. India were able to field another debutant with Dhruv Jurel replacing wicketkeeper K S Bharat after his struggles with the bat. Bharat scored 17 and 6 in the second Test at Vishakapatnam and may lose his place despite his glovework being top class. It is hard to remember when India fielded such an inexperienced batting line-up in a Test match. Rohit is the most experienced with 56 Tests, followed by Gill with 22 games. India's eight batsmen, including two wicketkeepers, have a combined total of 92 Tests, three of whom are yet to make their debut, including newcomer Devdutt Padikkal.

KL Rahul India batter ruled out of third Test against England with injury

Due to injury, India's KL Rahul will not play in the third Test matchup with England. Due to a thigh problem, Rahul was also unable to play in the second Test in Visakhapatnam, which India won to tie the series at one. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's potential return to the starting lineup following a hamstring injury is still unknown. In an already thinned-out Indian team, star batsman Virat Kohli is confirmed to miss the rest of the series. Devdutt Padikkal takes Rahul's position. Rahul "has reached 90% match fitness," according to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and he is anticipated to return for the fourth and fifth Tests. Thursday, February 15, marks the start of the third Test in Rajkot. In the event that Jadeja is declared unfit, the middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer was omitted from the roster for the final three Test matches, leaving a somewhat inexperienced batting lineup. KS Bharat (wk), Jasprit Bumrah, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, and Akash Deep are the members of the India squad for the third Test match. Rahul was replaced in the team by the gifted left-hander Devdutt Padikkal of Karnataka, who is having a fantastic first-class season. "KL Rahul has been ruled out of the third Test against England in Rajkot. His availability for the remaining three Tests was contingent upon his level of fitness." Under the guidance of the BCCI Medical Team, Mr. Rahul has attained 90% match fitness and is making good progress, the BCCI stated in a news release. At the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, Rahul will continue to recuperate in anticipation of playing in the fourth and fifth Tests. Right now, the series is locked 1-1. Both Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja were previously selected by the selectors for the team, pending approval from the BCCI medical staff. Ajit Agarkar, the chairman of selectors, witnessed the 23-year-old Padikkal's performance in his most recent Ranji Trophy game as he struck 151. This season, Padikkal has played exceptionally well. He scored 103 against Goa after opening the match with a 193 against Punjab. In addition to his achievements in Ranji, Padikkal scored 105, 65, and 21 for India A in his three innings during the two unofficial Test matches against the England Lions. Returning to Rahul, the 31-year-old batsman's prolonged absence begs the question of whether senior India players and the BCCI medical staff are providing accurate information regarding the injury status of individual players. "If the medical staff of the BCCI was aware from the beginning that Rahul's quad ailment is

Its A Competition That Loses Sourav Ganguly Provides Information About The U-19 World Cup Before India vs. Australia in the Final

Even though they have won every championship in the competition's history, India has never hosted the U-19 World Cup.When Team India plays Australia in the tournament's championship match on Sunday in Benoni, South Africa, they will be aiming for their sixth U-19 World Cup victory. Having advanced to the final eight times before the current edition, India is the most successful team in the tournament's history. Under Mohammed Kaif's direction, India won the U-19 World Cup for the first time in 2000. They then won it four more times in 2008, 2012, 2018, and 2022.India has never held the tournament, despite having such a stellar record in it.Sourav Ganguly, a former captain of India, has expressed his opinions regarding the rationale behind India's nonattendance at the event.Since the tournament's goal is to introduce cricket to new regions of the world, Ganguly believes there isn't a specific rationale for it."India is not hosting the U-19 World Cup for any specific reason. India is the host country for the other World Cups. What's wrong with this one being played in locations that don't see many senior World Cups? It's one approach to bringing the game to new markets," Ganguly said to RevSportz.Another belief is that the BCCI doesn't host the competition because it doesn't bring in enough money. Breaking the misconception, Ganguly declared: "It's fair to state that this competition is losing money. The majority of World Cups held without the senior men's teams are nonprofit events. However, this isn't the reason India hasn't hosted a U-19 World Cup match. Furthermore, I believe it will take place in India," he continued. The ICC's Associate Members, Malaysia (2008) and the United Arab Emirates (2014), will each host it once, with Zimbabwe and Namibia sharing hosting duties in 2026 for the subsequent event. All those brash 18 and 19-year-old Indian guys will stop at nothing on Sunday to secure a record-tying sixth ICC U-19 World Cup victory. New over-rate rule by the ICC that prevented India vs. Pakistan in the 2024 U19 World Cup final

New over-rate rule by the ICC that prevented India vs. Pakistan in the 2024 U19 World Cup final

In the event that Pakistan had defeated Australia, India and its bitter rival would have faced off in a second final of the ICC U19 World Cup.In the Under-19 World Cup semifinal match against Australia on Thursday night at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, Pakistan captain Saad Baig was a busy man, continually switching up his bowlers and altering his fields. It was rewarded with Pakistan storming back, led by Ali Raza's four-wicket haul, but it had an unforeseen effect prior to the start of the last over, when the side required to win by defending four runs or taking one wicket. Pakistan lost by one wicket and missed the chance to get a date with India for the championship match as a result of Baig's compliance with the new ICC regulation. The ICC created an in-match penalty rule for one-day internationals (ODIs) in late 2022, following the introduction of the penalty for slow over rates in Twenty20 International cricket. The rule states that the fielding team must have an extra fielder inside the ring for each over in which they are not able to finish an innings before the agreed-upon cut-off time, after taking time allowances into account. For instance, a team will have an extra fielder inside the circle for the final two overs if they finish 48 overs before the innings is supposed to end, leaving just four fielders outside the ring. Pakistan had to field one extra fielder on Thursday, bringing fine leg into the ring, since they finished their 49 overs ahead of the planned cut-off time. Australia's No. 8 Raf MacMilllan got an inside edge against a length ball outside off from Mohammad Zeeshan in the opening ball of the final over, and the ball went past short fine leg for a boundary. While providing analysis, former West Indies cricketer Ian Bishop stated that Pakistan would have had a fielder at fine leg and the winning boundary would have only been a single if they had not broken the over-rate rule.In the event that Pakistan had defeated Australia, India and its bitter rival would have faced off in a second final of the ICC U19 World Cup. In the summit conflict, Pakistan had prevailed in the lone previous encounter with India back in 2006. The U19 team that defeated the Boys in Blue, which included Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Piyush Chawla, was captained by Sarfaraz Ahmed, who went on to lead the senior Pakistan team to victory against India in the 2017 Champions Trophy. In the 2024 U19 World Cup final, Australia will now play India on Sunday. India advanced to their sixth consecutive final and ninth overall after narrowly defeating South Africa in a thrilling match.
