New York (World Newswire) -- Taboola, a world leader in providing marketers with performance at scale, today revealed a new focus that goes beyond native advertising as well as a po

For almost ten years, Taboola has been at the forefront of native advertising, helping clients succeed, mostly with bottom-of-article placements. With the launch of Realize, an industry-first platform that focuses exclusively on performance outcomes at scale beyond search and social, Taboola has expanded well beyond its legacy in the modern day.To meet performance goals, Realize leverages Taboola's exclusive data, performance AI, and a growing variety of inventory and innovative formats. Advertisers require specialist solutions, even if they require excellent solutions for every stage of the marketing funnel. It is quite difficult for current solutions that guarantee full funnel service to succeed at every stage of the marketing funnel. Taboola is now making Realize available to all performance-driven advertisers. According to Taboola, advertisers spend $25 billion annually trying to gain performance results on DSPs and specialized AdTech solutions. However, these channels frequently lack the scale, data, and performance expertise necessary to provide advertisers with the results they require. While AdTech businesses typically lack the scale necessary for success, DSPs typically concentrate on video and CTV, which is excellent for branding objectives but not performance. According to Taboola, social media expenditure is also experiencing declining returns at a rate of about $30 billion.

Woman Who Served With ISIS in Syria Loses Appeal Against UK Citizenship Revocation

On Friday, a British-born woman who joined the Islamic State while still a schoolgirl in Syria was unsuccessful in her most recent attempt to have her British citizenship revoked. In 2019, not long after Shamima Begum was discovered in a Syrian detention camp, the British government revoked her citizenship on the grounds of national security. Begum, who is now 24 years old, claimed the ruling was illegal, citing, among other things, British officials' improper consideration of the possibility that she was a victim of human trafficking. However, a lower court dismissed this claim in February 2023.After receiving an appeal in October, the Court of Appeal in London denied her request on Friday.

At an English hotel, a man was seen wandering around brandishing a big "knife" close to the elevators, which sparked panic. After multiple complaints from witnesses, armed police officers arrived at the location in Enderby, Leicestershire, shortly afterward. But when police realized that the weapon was simply a wand that belonged to a Harry Potter fan, they were astounded, according to the BBC.  Following the entertaining incident, Leicestershire Police joked on Facebook that "there was no sign of Voldemort." They did not, however, specify which hotel the incident took place at. A Blaby police representative wrote: "This morning, a male individual inside a large hotel in Enderby was reported to have 'a large knife', so I went there with several firearms officers. We swiftly ascertained that it was a wand-wielding Harry Potter fan after making inquiries.  Fortunately, nobody was hurt, and "Voldemort" showed no signs of appearing.   Online users were amused and laughed at the Facebook post, and some took advantage of the situation to make puns and jokes about Harry Potter.  A user made a joke, asking, "Are you being serious?" "So many missed opportunities for Harry Potter puns," another person said."You know, I wish there were more of these reports," remarked the third. However, these are dangerous times when it comes to knives; you can never be too cautious! Regarding Cabinet, spending, or military oversight, around three out of ten people have a high level of confidence in Trump: AP-NORC survey

According to a new poll from the AP-NORC Centre for Public Affairs Research, even though Americans recently elected Donald Trump to a second term, they do not believe that he will be able to appoint qualified individuals to his Cabinet or successfully oversee government spending, the military, and the White House. Trump appoints people to important positions in his government, some of whom may have to endure challenging Senate confirmation hearings even when Republicans are in control. Trump's promise to voters to be a disruptive force in the nation and a return to the tumultuous age of governance that characterized his first four years in the White House have been reflected in the selection process and its lightning-fast pace. Only about three out of ten Americans, however, are "extremely" or "very" confident that Trump will appoint competent individuals to his government. According to the majority of Republicans, their confidence is high.

A mother and her boss discover an unexpected romance that soon develops into a web of lies and misunderstandings in this romantic comedy starring Joey King, Nicole Kidman, and Zac Efron.2023's The Flash Tuesday will be available on Netflix. To be honest, the backstory of this film is every bit as fascinating as the film itself. James Gunn assumes the director's chair in one of the films that serves as a bookend to the DC film universe. In the film, which stars the troubled Ezra Miller, the Flash goes back in time to alter previous occurrences. Regretfully, since all of the DC movies left Netflix in the first few months of this year, you won't be able to watch them all at once.Supacell: A Netflix Original Series Arriving on Netflix on Thursday Our last choice, which is still about superheroes, is Supacell, the newest new series to come out of the UK. EUR/USD remains firm as Trump raises tariffs cautiously

As US President Donald Trump announced lower-than-expected tariffs on China, EUR/USD stayed strong above 1.0400. ECB's Lagarde cautioned that the Euro bloc should be ready for US tariffs, while ECB's Stournaras said that if the US imposes tariffs on the Eurozone, the pace of policy easing could quicken. In Wednesday's North American session, the EUR/USD maintains its rise above the crucial support level of 1.0400. As investors assess the United States' (US) clear tariff measures to construct new positions, the key currency pair continues to rise. Following a new two-week low of 107.75, the US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the value of the US dollar relative to six major currencies, recovers intraday losses.United States (US) President Donald Trump is ready to hike 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada and 10% on China, which will come into effect on February 1. Although he hasn't given specifics yet, Trump has also pledged to address trade imbalances with the Eurozone. Trump stated on Monday that he would either "raise tariffs or Europe buy more US oil and gas" to address the trade deficit. The US Dollar's (USD) demand as a safe haven is declining as a result of these tariff calls, which seem less alarming than what market players had expected from Trump's remarks during the election campaign.Traders may be forced to reduce their bets on the Federal Reserve (Fed) to maintain interest rates at their current levels for an extended period of time if Trump's tariff rises are less drastic than anticipated. Market investors currently anticipate that for the next three policy sessions, the Fed will maintain borrowing rates between 4.25% and 4.50%.

New Worker Classification Rule Could Disrupt the US Gig Economy

New Worker Classification Rule Could Disrupt the US Gig Economy

Uber drivers and other gig economy workers could be legally classified as employees under a new Department of Labor rule that goes into effect in March. The new rule already faces at least one lawsuit, filed by freelance writers who want to remain "independent contractors" rather than employees. Employees are entitled to overtime pay, minimum wage, and other benefits not available to contractors. While people who work as contractors value the flexibility, employment law experts say there's no reason employers couldn't offer flexible hours alongside employee status and the benefits that go along with it. App-based ride-sharing services such as Uber (UBER) and Lyft (LYFT) earned the title of “disruptors” for the way they drove traditional cab companies out of business. Now, they’re trying to fend off the disruption that could be coming for them, in the form of a new federal labor rule. A new regulation on worker classification released this month is already facing at least one legal challenge, and will likely see more pushback from gig economy companies whose business model it threatens. The new law could turn the gig economy upside down, and affect many of the estimated 22.1 million Americans who work as independent contractors, employment experts say. Earlier this month, the Department of Labor released details on a rule setting standards on when a worker counts as an employee as opposed to an independent contractor, entitling them to overtime pay, unemployment insurance, and a slew of other benefits under the law. The new rule, first proposed in 2022, is set to go into effect in March. This week, a group of freelancers, including three New Jersey-based writers, sued the Department of Labor to overturn the new rule. At least one major business lobbying group is also considering legal action. Should the government give “employee” status to workers currently classified as contractors, it would threaten the business models of companies such as Uber, Lyft, and Doordash (DASH), whose contract workers cost their employers much less than traditional employees would.Uber and the Flex Association—a trade group representing gig economy companies—both released statements last week saying that the rule would have no immediate impact on their businesses. “This rule does not materially change the law under which we operate, and will not impact the classification of the over one million Americans who turn to Uber to earn money flexibly,” Uber’s statement reads.

Analysis: China's past reverberates in Trump and Musk's America

A dramatic attempt to eliminate government bureaucracy is being spearheaded by US President Donald Trump and his billionaire ally, Elon Musk. Wang Xiangwei, a former editor-in-chief of the SCMP, claims that China is currently dealing with its own bureaucratic inefficiencies.HONG KONG: A "Cultural Revolution" like to that of the United States is underway. Many scholars of contemporary Chinese history, including this author, find it impossible to avoid drawing comparisons between the Cultural Revolution in China from 1966 to 1976 and the current assault against federal bureaucracy led by US President Donald Trump and his billionaire ally Elon Musk. One of the major reasons Mao Zedong started the uprising over 59 years ago was his concern that China was becoming into an aristocratic nation that didn't care about the interests and welfare of the people. He organized the Red Guards, who were primarily high school and college students, to launch attacks on government offices across the nation. Mao famously predicted that "great chaos under heaven" would give way to "great order" as China plunged into turmoil and paralysis.

Tourism Ireland announces a global marketing effort for 2024.

At a meeting today with Tourism Minister Catherine Martin and some 550 leaders from the country's tourism industry, Tourism Ireland announced its marketing strategy and plans for promoting Ireland abroad in 2024.By 2030, Tourism Ireland hopes to have considerably increased the economic contribution of foreign travel to Ireland, with an annual revenue growth rate of +5.6% during the next six years. Furthermore, the group is committed to supporting the island's local economy by raising revenue during off-peak seasons in different regions by +6.5% on average per year until 2030.With a €70 million marketing budget, Tourism Ireland plans to introduce a broad and targeted campaign in 2024.Ireland's highly regarded tourism products, a committed industry, and solid international travel trade relationships are expected to make 2024 a critical year for luring foreign visitors. Using available capacity presents an obvious potential to increase revenue, especially during the off-peak season. In addition, Ireland is well-positioned to enthrall prospective tourists with its rich storytelling, which includes the 2,000-year history of Halloween on the island. In 2024, Tourism Ireland is determined to take advantage of these prospects by implementing data-driven marketing tactics. Through the dynamic delivery of tailored communications to specific audiences at the most advantageous moments, the organization hopes to draw in high-value foreign visitors by matching supply with demand. The focus will be on drawing travelers who, in addition to having the means to do so, are also on the lookout for meaningful experiences and have a propensity to visit various locations all year round."The Government remains fully committed to this vitally important industry and to strengthening tourism as a fundamental part of our economy for the long term," said Tourism Minister Catherine Martin during her remarks at the event. The budget for 2024 has allocated an extra €10 million to promote Ireland as a top vacation destination abroad. "Tourism Ireland's work abroad complements and is complemented by other sectors falling under my Department's purview. For instance, how culture and sport are portrayed in Tourism Ireland's marketing materials for international audiences can have a significant impact on prospective travelers' ability to envision and recognize some of the special features of vacationing on the island of Ireland and identify it as a premier venue for sporting events. The creation of a new national framework for tourism policies that will integrate sustainability—economic, social, and environmental—across the board for the industry is being advanced by my department. The framework will influence future developments in our tourism sector. In this sense, I want to see the industry expand, but I also want it to grow in a way that keeps up with our larger sustainability goals and makes Ireland a leader in sustainable tourism.

The largest cruise ship in the world sets sail, raising concerns about methane emissions

The largest cruise ship in the world sets sail, raising concerns about methane emissions

New York: The largest cruise ship in the world is scheduled to set sail for the first time on Saturday, but environmental organizations fear that the ship, which will be powered by liquefied natural gas, as well as future enormous cruise ships, will leak toxic methane into the atmosphere.Taking advantage of the rising popularity of cruises, Royal Caribbean International's Icon of the Seas, with a capacity of 8,000 passengers across 20 decks, sets sail from Miami.   Although LNG burns more cleanly than conventional marine fuel and carries a higher risk of methane emissions, the ship is designed to run on LNG. Because of its short-term negative effects, environmental groups claim that methane leakage from ship engines poses an intolerable risk to the climate.   "It's a step in the wrong direction," declared Bryan Comer, the head of the Marine Program at the environmental policy think tank, International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT)."We would estimate that using LNG as a marine fuel emits over 120% more life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions than marine gas oil," he stated. Methane has warming effects that are 80 times worse over 20 years than those of carbon dioxide, so reducing emissions is essential to slowing the rise in global temperatures.   Industry experts claim that low-pressure, dual-fuel engines found in cruise ships such as Icon of the Seas cause "methane slip," or the release of methane into the atmosphere during combustion. Although they are too tall to fit in a cruise ship, two additional engines that are used on bulk carriers or container ships produce less methane.   According to Royal Caribbean, the new ship is 24% more carbon-efficient than what the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the global regulator of shipping, requires.   The majority of the world's shipping fleet runs on very low sulfur fuel oil (VLSFO), which produces more greenhouse emissions than LNG, according to Steve Esau, chief operating officer of Sea-LNG, an industry advocacy group.   It is "important to make sure that all the natural gas is converted to energy," according to Juha Kytola, director of R&D and Engineering at Wartsila, the company that created the engines on cruise ships. Cruise engines use natural gas to generate power in a cylinder.   He added that Wartsila's natural gas engine technology emits 90% less methane than it did twenty to thirty years ago. What is not converted can escape during the combustion process and into the atmosphere, he said. According to research conducted in 2024 and supported by the ICCT and other partners, the average methane slip in cruise ship engines is estimated to be 6.4%. Methane slip is assumed by the IMO to be 3.5%.   "Methane is coming under more scrutiny," stated Anna Barford, a nonprofit organization's Canada shipping campaigner, pointing out that the IMO stated last summer that addressing methane emissions is part of its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.   Sixty-three percent of the 54 ships scheduled for delivery between January 2024 and December 2028 are anticipated to run on LNG, as reported by the Cruise Line International Association. Approximately six percent of the 300 cruise ships in operation today run on LNG.   Modern cruise ships are being built to run on LNG, conventional marine gas oil, or bio-LNG, which is an alternative that makes up very little of the fuel used in the United States.   According to Nick Rose, vice president of environmental, social, and governance at Royal Caribbean, the company will switch up its fuel mix as the market changes.

Concern over the US-UK attack on the Houthis in the lead-up to the LS polls has heightened.

Concern over the US-UK attack on the Houthis in the lead-up to the LS polls has heightened.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Following weeks of warnings to the group to stop their drone and missile strikes against commercial vessels in the Red Sea or face dire consequences, U.S. and U.K. warships and planes unleashed rounds of missiles against Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen early on Friday in Sanaa.Prior to this, the United States had refrained from retaliating, a reflection of greater American worries about upending the precarious truce in Yemen and starting a wider fight in the area. However, the Houthis conducted their most powerful assault to date on a number of foreign warships and commercial ships in the Red Sea on Tuesday, employing eighteen one-way attack drones, anti-ship cruise missiles, and an anti-ship ballistic missile. Even though Tuesday's attack was repelled by American and allied military vessels and aircraft defending the waterways, the magnitude and impact of the launch prompted international condemnation and left little choice but to heed warnings that any additional attacks would result in a significant response.

Why Are They Hurrying To Purchase This Chic New SmartWatch? The Incredible Health Benefits

The smartwatch industry was dominated for a long time by a small number of powerful companies that were able to set their own prices and continue to defraud consumers. "The unexpected background of the Fair Isle sweater "

"Is a piece of clothing as cherished by the royal family as it is by JLo? Or will it be as relevant in 2023 on the catwalks as it was in 1960 knitting catalogs? The response is unexpectedly joyous. From 18th-century fishermen to Mick Jagger, the Fair Isle knit, a two-stranded knitting tradition that originated off the coast of Scotland, has been a wardrobe staple for well over a century. Luxury labels like Dries van Noten, Ralph Lauren, Thom Browne, Chanel, Celine, Balenciaga, Raf Simons, and Versace have all sent their interpretations of the heritage knit down the catwalk in the past five years. Designer Molly Goddard, who is based in London, has even turned the pattern into an unofficial hallmark by matching it with a structured Fair Isle-style"
