The Indian Express asked the EC for comment on Sen's claims, but the EC did not reply.The EC only deployed micro-observers in West Bengal, which was a first, despite announcing the SIR in nine states and three Union Territories on October 27 of last year. It noted that the order appointing a Special Investigation Team (SIT) consisting exclusively of state police officers prejudices the petitioner-party and its leader, even though the high court has voiced dissatisfaction with the independence and actions of the state police.G.S. Mani, a Tamil Nadu BJP leader and vice president of the state legal cell, has submitted a petition to the Supreme Court requesting a CBI investigation into the stampede in Karur during a rally organized by actor Vijay's political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), on September 27, which resulted in 41 fatalities. The games brought in $1.71 million in revenue last year, or an average of $142,700 per month, according to documents reviewed by CNBC Make It. The side hustle’s success is due, at least partially, to a three-step process Woo followed, she says: Keep testing your idea after you’ve launched it, use the feedback to inform your next project and repeat the cycle.Woo’s first game was meant to help teachers and kids learn the basics of emotional intelligence, so she spent three months testing it in local schools before listing it on Amazon, she says. Once sales started coming in, she kept researching and testing the game — but instead of updating it, she used the feedback to create new versions for different topics and audiences. “Iteration is key,” says Woo. “For those who are risk-averse or perfectionistic, they may worry, ‘What if I make a mistake? What if I become irrelevant?’ Don’t be afraid to reinvent yourself.”Creating iterations of her card game, listing each new version as another product for people to buy, was a familiar pattern for Woo: She has changed careers several times, reinventing herself at each stop along the way. She helped train managers during stints at Deloitte and Cisco. She worked as a personal trainer. She got involved in school administration when her three children became preschool-aged, and ran a party decoration business called PropMama on the side. Mind Brain Emotion came along in 2018, as Woo studied for her master’s degree in education at Harvard University. She changes things up out of both personal and professional necessity, she says — she gets bored, learns something new, then figures out a way to monetize or share it with others.“A lot of these [changes] stem from my own pain,” she says. “I became a fitness trainer because I was training for a marathon ... Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, who announced last week that she is also undergoing cancer treatment, are not expected to attend. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the office handle of Trinamool Congress posted the video of Ghosh and wrote: “Dilip Ghosh is a disgrace in the name of political leadership! From challenging the lineage of Maa Durga to now questioning the ancestry of Smt. Mamata Banerjee, he has wallowed in the filthiest depths of moral bankruptcy." “One thing is crystal clear: Ghosh has ZERO RESPECT for the women of Bengal, whether it be the revered goddess of Hinduism or the only woman Chief Minister of India," the post added.Dilip Ghosh is frustrated. 48% of “entitled” MPLAD funds in Gujarat remained unutilised between 2019-24, says ADR
About 48 per cent of the total ₹442 crore that were to be spent as MPLAD funds in Gujarat between 2019 and 2024, remained “unutilised”, stated Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR). “The Member of Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD) Scheme was started in December 1993. Between 2019 and 2024, the Covid pandemic had caused the scheme to be frozen for 1.5 years. Each MP was entitled to spend ₹17 crore instead of ₹25 crore in their respective constituencies. Thus the total entitled amount was ₹442 crore for the 26 MPs in Gujarat,” Pankti Jog, the state coordinator for Gujarat told businessline. All the 26 seats in the State belong to the BJP. “However, the 26 MPs together recommended works worth ₹354 crore, of which ₹269 crore worth of works were sanctioned and ₹220 crore funds were released by the Government of India. This allocated amount of ₹220 crore is just 49.77 per cent of the total entitled amount of the MPs. If MPs do not recommend work, then the government will not allocate more funds. The onus of recommending works within their constituency lies with the MP,” she said. The 26 BJP MPs incurred an expenditure of ₹230 crore (including interest) which is about 52 per cent of the entitled amount of ₹442 crore. Despite just ₹220 crore being released, the MPs failed to spend ₹31 crore which is about 13.5 per cent of the funds released by the government. According to the data shared by ADR, Union home minister Amit Shah’s constituency of Gandhinagar had the highest unspent balance of ₹3.54 crore, followed by Vinod Chavda of Kutch ( ₹2.35 crore of unspent balance), Devusinh Chauhan of Kheda ( ₹2.35 crore) Poonamben Madam of Jamnagar ( ₹2.19 crore) and Bharattsinji Dabhi of Patan ( ₹2.01 crore). “Each MP could have easily used ₹17 crore during these five years. However, they have spent less than this amount,” Jog said. Of the total sanctioned works in Gujarat, the highest –₹114.81 crore – has been spent on railways, roads, pathways and bridges. And ₹71.32 crore on “other public facilities.”

All 22 Indian crew safe after ship crashes into Baltimore Bridge
All 22 crew members aboard the container ship involved in the Key Bridge collision in Baltimore are reported to be Indian nationals, according to the charter management entity. Search efforts are underway across a "large area" to locate them. One of the rescued individuals is reportedly in "very serious condition," according to the police. The 948-foot container vessel, Dali, collided with a section of the bridge, causing multiple cars to plunge into the water and sparking concerns of numerous casualties. The incident occurred as the Dali was navigating the Patapsco River, heading from Baltimore to Colombo, Sri Lanka, resulting in significant damage to the steel structure of the bridge. The Singapore-flagged ship involved in the incident is owned by Grace Ocean Pte Ltd. The collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge has been labeled as a 'mass-casualty incident' by the Baltimore City Fire Department, with reports indicating that multiple vehicles plunged into the Patapsco River below. This four-lane steel bridge serves as a crucial link to the Port of Baltimore and spans the Patapsco River. It is also the busiest port in the United States for car shipments.

The contract for this project has been confirmed by South Eastern Railway. The project involves the design, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning for the upgradation of the electric traction system from 1 x 25 KV to 2 x 25 KV traction system for the Rajkharsawan-Nayagarh-Bolani section of Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway. This upgrade aims to meet the 3,000 MT loading target, as stated by the company last week.
