Australia Women vs. India Women LIVE Score Updates, First ODI: Australia wins easily thanks to Beth Mooney's elegant 76

At the Allan Border Field in Brisbane on Tuesday, Australia won the first ODI by six wickets with 70 balls remaining. Alyssa Healy also struck a strong half century, making the run chase of 215 appear effortless. While Kashvee Gautam played a beautiful hand further down the order and Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur hit half-centuries, it was difficult for the Indian hitters. Jemimah Rodrigues followed immediately after Pratika Rawal and Shafali Verma fell. Soon after reaching her half-century, Mandhana fell, and India found it difficult to gain pace in the middle overs.India reached 214 all out in 48.3 overs as Harmanpreet and Kashvee's partnership for the eighth wicket helped them surpass 200. While Alana King took only one wicket but was difficult for India's hitters to dismiss, Ash Gardner took three for Australia. In India's opening game following their World Cup victory in November, Harmanpreet Kaur had previously chosen to bat first. India had won the first and third games of the multi-format series, taking a 4-2 lead (in points) after defeating Australia 2-1 in the T20I leg. Before the hosts, headed by a newcomer in Sophie Molineux, responded in the second game in Canberra to tie the series at one, the Harmanpreet-led team won the rain-affected opening Twenty20 International by 21 runs in Sydney. In Adelaide, India defeated Australia by 17 runs thanks to a stylish 82 from Smriti Mandhana.

Suryakumar believes India will win the T20 World Cup.

Suryakumar Yadav, captain of India, thinks his team can quickly recover from their defeat to South Africa and advance to the ICC Men's T20 World Cup knockout stages. India was defeated by the Proteas by 76 runs in Ahmedabad on Sunday, ending a 12-match winning streak. They now have a difficult job to defend the title they famously won in Barbados in 2024. This was India's first defeat of the T20 World Cup.In order to go to the semi-finals, Suryakumar's team will now probably need to win their remaining Super Eight games against Zimbabwe and the West Indies. However, if the Proteas stay undefeated during this round, one victory might be sufficient.Zimbabwe will be India's next opponent in Chennai on Thursday, and Suryakumar doesn't believe his squad needs to make many changes to get back to winning ways. When asked what India needs to perform well for the rest of the competition, a candid Suryakumar responded, "Hopefully, we bat well, bowl well, and field well."That's all. We'll make an effort to keep things easy. I believe we'll return strong if we play the same style of cricket that we want to play and nothing changes."India isn't anticipated to make many changes before their matches against Zimbabwe and the West Indies, but the team is worried about the performance of their top-ranked T20I batsman, Abhishek Sharma, who was dismissed cheaply for just 14 against the Proteas once more. Suryakumar laments the loss of early wickets during the run chase as India faltered in response to South Africa's score of 187/7, and the left-hander was one of three players removed during the Powerplay."If you're chasing 180-185, you can't win the game in the Powerplay, but you might lose the game in the Powerplay," the captain of India thought.

T20 World Cup, India vs. Pakistan: Salman Agha considers the "big picture" following defeat, while Suryakumar dedicates victory to India

Following a humiliating loss in a match that never lived up to its blockbuster billing, India captain Suryakumar Yadav dedicated Sunday's (February 16, 2026) Twenty20 World Cup triumph over Pakistan to supporters nationwide, while his opposite number, Salman Agha, encouraged perspective. As India amassed 175-7 and then went back to bundle out Pakistan for 114 in 18 overs, the much-anticipated showdown between the South Asian neighbors, who engaged in a military crisis that almost erupted into a full-fledged war last year, failed to ignite.Despite the tensions, the game itself went without any flashpoints, but the opposing captains did not shake hands during the toss. When the coin was flipped, Salman and Suryakumar avoided eye contact and appeared solemn. When the India captain addressed at the R. Premadasa Stadium following the game, the atmosphere was very different."This is for the Indian market. With a broad smile, the batter remarked, "We played the same brand of cricket that we wanted to play."Ishan Kishan was praised by Suryakumar for his quick 77, which helped them win.Ishan Kishan batted in the same manner as he did on the domestic circuit and in our prior games. Ishan took charge of the powerplay and had an unconventional idea."India v Pakistan is a special game for us and our country," Kishan said. "This is a crucial game. We attempted to play excellent shots, but they had fantastic spinners. We feel more confident moving further in the competition.

Pakistan Minister Establishes 'Suryakumar Yadav Condition' for Asia Cup Trophy Transfer to India

Pakistan Minister Establishes 'Suryakumar Yadav Condition' for Asia Cup Trophy Transfer to India

In light of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) rejecting requests for a trophy handover ceremony, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) leader Mohsin Naqvi has reportedly introduced a new condition to break the deadlock regarding the Asia Cup 2025. During an ACC meeting on Tuesday, BCCI officials Rajeev Shukla and Ashish Shelar put Naqvi on the defensive by requesting that the trophy be stored in the Asian body's Dubai office for shipping to India.Naqvi, however, demonstrated little to no willingness to comply with the requests from the Indian board. A report by the Pakistani media outlet Geo Super states that Naqvi even opposed the mention of the trophy handover in the meeting, as it was not included in the original agenda. During a virtual meeting, Naqvi informed Rajeev Shukla, "This item was not included in the agenda for the ACC meeting." Naqvi, in response to the BCCI's insistence on the trophy's return, stated: "If the Indian team wants the trophy, the captain can come to the ACC office and collect it from me. "Witnessing Naqvi's lack of cooperation, the BCCI warned the heads of the ACC and PCB that if the trophy is not transferred to the Indian team within a specified timeframe, they will lodge a complaint with the ICC concerning this issue. As PTI reported, a source stated, “It was clarified that the BCCI would lodge a complaint with the ICC, and Shelar made a brief exit from the meeting.” During the tournament, the two teams faced off three times, with India emerging victorious on each occasion, including in the final. During the event, India upheld a 'no-handshake policy' with Pakistani players, which angered the PCB.Following the Pahalgam terror attack, where Pakistan-backed terrorists killed 26 Indian tourists, tensions between the two neighbors have reached unprecedented levels.

They were further hindered by a 19-point defeat because of slo over-rate. The England 'Bazball' style will likely face its greatest test in the India series, but coach Brendon McCullum indicated that they are looking forward to it.The video of the team arriving in Hyderabad to much excitement was posted on England Cricket's official social media accounts. Indias five star players for the 2024 ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup

Indias five star players for the 2024 ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup

January 19, 2024, marks the start of the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa. Things took a bad turn for the Emerald Isle when its elected government illegally interfered with their plans to hold the event in Sri Lanka. As a result, the International Cricket Council gave Cricket South Africa the hosting rights. The 15th edition of the U-19 World Cup will feature sixteen teams, each separated into groups of four teams.Five-time and reigning champions India's campaign will kick off on Saturday, January 20, when they take on Bangladesh. It is widely expected that the two other teams in the group, Ireland, India, and the United States, will comfortably advance to the Super Six stage. The Indian squad is, as usual, a serious contender to win. They will, however, be up against fierce opposition from Australia, who has won three U-19 titles and looks to be a formidable team. The Indian team of fifteen players for the U-19 Cricket World Cup is shown here. Arshin Kulkarni (MCA), Adarsh Singh (UPCA), Priyanshu Moliya (BCA), Musheer Khan (MCA), Aravelly Avanish Rao (HCA), Saumy Kumar Pandey (MPCA), Murugan Abhishek (HCA), Innesh Mahajan (HPCA), Dhanush Gowda (KSCA), Aradhya Shukla (PCA), Raj Limbani (BCA), and Naman Tiwari (UPCA).With the talented Uday Saharan at the helm, India has selected a well-rounded team for the World Cup. There are two all-rounders, six specialist bowlers, and seven specialist batsmen on the team. Here are a few players from the team to keep an eye on.1. Arshin Kulkarni There appears to be a star in the making for Team India, which could mean the end of their search for a reliable pace-bowling all-round player soon. Arshin attracted attention in the first Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) by hitting the most sixes in the competition even though he only participated in three games. In the ACC U-19 Asia Cup, he amassed 138 runs at bat and claimed 4 wickets with the ball, showcasing his all-around ability. Arshin, who is a medium-fast bowler and opener, looks up to Jacques Kallis, who is maybe the best all-around player to have played in the contemporary era of cricket. Arshin has secured an IPL deal with the Lucknow Super Giants despite his young age.2. Saharan Uday Uday, a middle-order batsman from Punjab who has experience playing cricket, has been named the U-19 team's captain for this World Cup. Against Pakistan, the team's bitter opponent, Uday hit a resolute half-century at the U-19 Asia Cup, which was recently hosted in the United Arab Emirates. His leadership was particularly noteworthy. The skipper of the India U-19 cricket team has a track record of graduating with honors and making apologies at the senior level throughout the years. One such example is Virat Kohli, who in 2008 guided India to the U-19 title and has left an enduring impact. It is hoped that Uday will take a similar path and win the U-19 World Cup, representing India with pride.3. Avanish Rao Aravelly Avanish is anticipated to be India's first-choice wicket-keeper batter in the World Cup, having already made his List A debut. In the U-19 Quadrangular Series, the daring left-hander grabbed the show by hitting a "daddy hundred" when his team was struggling. Avanish hit a massive 148 and scored 274 runs in just 6 innings at the home U-19 tournament. India would want to increase the scoring pace by relying on his stroke play since his uncompromising style of batting allows him to deliver a powerful blow in the second part of an innings. Avanish was selected by the Chennai Super Kings at the IPL auction, giving him a fantastic chance to improve under MS Dhoni's tutelage.4. Dhanush Gowda Dhanush, the U-19 Challengers Trophy's top wicket-taker, took nine wickets at a disciplined economy of 4.42 runs per over. In the Quadrangular series, the right-arm medium-fast bowler turned heads as well as he amassed a five-for against Bangladesh in Vijayawada. He is expected to bring his A game at the World Cup and be able to score runs early in the innings with the new ball. He is said to have a variety of talents in his arsenal.5. Pandey Saumy Kumar In the recently finished tri-nation series in South Africa, left-arm orthodox Saumy claimed six wickets against the Afghanistan U-19, setting up the Indian spin department to dominate the U-19 World Cup. Prior to this, he was the most successful bowler after an outstanding performance in the home Quadrangular series, taking 13 wickets at an average of 23.15. As this U-19 team's vice-captain, India will be looking to Saumy to wreak havoc with his cunning throughout the middle overs as the game drags on at a slow pace.Former India international Hrishikesh Kanitkar, the U-19 setup's head coach, is upbeat about his team's prospects in the World Cup. The India U-19 team has had the most experience possible before this competition, which ought to help them work well together as a team. Now that they are representing their country in international sports, it is up to these young guns to give it their all on the field.

But Gulbadin Naib and Muhammad Nabi mounted a stunning counterattack that forced the Indians to retreat. Nabi was dismissed for 34 off 16 balls, ending a 56-run partnership with Gulbadin that required just 22 balls. Gulbadin, nevertheless, continued as wickets dropped at the other end. In the end, he went 55 off 23 without losing, and Afghanistan tied the match, remarkably forcing the match into a Super Over in the process. Fareed Ahmed and Azmatullah Omarzai of Afghanistan attacked India in the first over, leaving them stunned on a Chinnaswamy surface that appeared to catch the batsmen off guard. In the powerplay, India lost four wickets, three of which were taken by Fareed by himself.

Virat Kohli dashes into trophy celebrations with Michael Jackson slide, breaks internet with viral dance step

Throughout the India vs. Afghanistan T20I series, Virat Kohli was the talk of the town. In the T20I series, India won 3-0 over the visitors. In the third and final Twenty20 International at Bangalore on Wednesday, former India captain Virat Kohli recorded his first-ever golden duck, capping a forgettable series against Afghanistan. In the series decider against Afghanistan in Indore, Kohli, making his T20I squad debut after missing the ICC World Cup in 2022, made an immediate impression. The former captain scored 29 off 16 balls in the second T20I against the team without Rashid Khan, demonstrating an excellent strike rate of above 181. Kohli was expecting to put on a show at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium with the bat when India landed in Bengaluru for the third Twenty20 International yesterday. Nevertheless, the first ball of his innings stopped the legendary Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player in his tracks. After being out on the first ball by Afghanistan's Fareed Ahmad, Kohli went on to overtake Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and record an undesired duck in the third Twenty20 International. Despite his terrible experience with the willow, former India captain Virat Kohli continued to be the buzz of the town because to his superb fielding. The 35-year-old's "Superman" dive on the boundary line prevented a certain six. Whose last-minute idea was it to give Ravi Bishnoi the second Super Over and not Avesh Khan and why?

Whose last-minute idea was it to give Ravi Bishnoi the second Super Over and not Avesh Khan and why?

As they prepared to bowl the second Super Over against Afghanistan, Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan were both wary. The choice to go with the leg-spinner was made at the final minute. At Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium, there was a collective gasp when India ended their second Super Over with 11 runs. This was supposed to be an easy aim, given that both teams finished on 212 apiece in the allocated 20 overs, scoring 16 each in the first set Super Over. Or so you believed. In international cricket, nothing is simple, particularly when the opposition is captained by a talented player like Rohit Sharma. Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi and pacer Avesh Khan were spotted warming up and rolling their arms in between the five-minute interval. According to the Super playing conditions set by the ICC, Mukesh Kumar, who was India's first pick, was not permitted to bowl in another Super Over. Avast looked the most like Avesh. In actuality, the right-arm pacer approached his mark after handing the umpires his headgear. But as soon as India's skipper Rohit took the pitch, everything changed. For obvious reasons, he was the last Indian fielder to arrive. In this match, he had to bat three times in addition to playing. Avesh was observed reclaiming his cap from the umpire as Afghanistan's hitters Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Mohammed Nabi stepped out to bat was exists a last-minute alteration? Indeed, there was. On the bowling mark, Rav Bishnoi took Avesh's spot. With the knowledge that he had the larger leg-side boundary at his disposal, he bowled an excellent opening delivery. Bishnoi asked the batter to do all the work by dragging his length back a little. Nabi, who had been slicing the ball into pieces moments before, shifted his weight and gave it a full swing, but the additional bounce prevented him from having total control. At a distance, he could only reach Rinku Singh.

I will eventually represent India in cricket: Riyan Parag

I will eventually represent India in cricket: Riyan Parag

The Assam batter's resolve has been reinforced by his non-selection in spite of a record-breaking year.Since the previous IPL, Riyan Parag's career has looked like this. In addition to becoming the Deodhar Trophy's top scorer, he also finished tied for third place in terms of wicket-taking. He hit the most sixes (23, ten more than Kerala's Rohan Kunnummal). Then, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, a world record seven straight fifties were achieved, nearly propelling Assam to the T20 tournament final. He has now scored hundreds in two straight Ranji Trophy matches against Kerala and Chattisgarh. These absurd figures demonstrate the highest order consistency across formats, but what's maybe even more confusing is that Parag hasn't received a national call-up despite this. The belief that Parag isn't the most traditional character appears to be more hindering. He likes to give it back, whether it's on or off the field. The most recent event that has everyone talking was Parag's lavish celebration of hitting his second Ranji hundred, to which he has also responded on social media in a characteristically flamboyant manner."People are enjoying themselves while deciphering that and posting various interpretations (of his celebration). I won't take that away from them," Guwahati resident Parag declared. "I think I have a clear vision. I play each game with the intention of having fun, and I am doing just that. He remarked, "I'm not thinking about the selections, the squads, the tours, or even who is doing what in the Ranji Trophy."In the 2019 Indian Premier League, Parag emerged concurrently with a group of gifted cricketers in the age group who were beginning to establish themselves. After getting off to a decent start with the Rajasthan Royals, Parag realized he needed to go above and beyond the typical cricketer to gain recognition at home."You always have to do twice as well as someone playing from a bigger state when you come from a state like Assam that people don't associate with cricket," he stated. Furthermore, it is true. There's no getting around that. Nothing negative can be said about it. You need to get five hundreds if someone else gets three hundreds. That is all there is to it.That's exactly what Parag has also been doing. Parag's outstanding form is likely one of the main reasons Assam has surpassed itself this year. To Parag's credit, he hasn't allowed his main task to be compromised by his role as a team leader. "I have communicated to the boys that you will not play cricket the way Assam did five or ten years ago when I am captain of the team. My responsibility is to help the team win games and score points.Leading while continuing to be the team's batting mainstay is a simple yet sophisticated combination that has already made Parag's season one to remember. "It is a huge moral win for me to be able to do what I have been doing," he declared. "This is unprecedented; you wouldn't anticipate such performances from a young Assamese child. It's a first." I'm not taking it personally. But I feel satisfied with myself because I have worked so hard.Being passed over will therefore inevitably lead to self-doubt. However, Parag thinks this is a temporary obstacle. "I always have the belief that I will play for the country at some point in the future. I can't have that taken away from me. "I'm obsessed with that," he uttered. "However, I don't have a specific goal to score this many runs in the IPL or Ranji."But because the world hasn't fully realized how good he is yet, Parag has essentially walled himself off to concentrate only on his hitting. "I don't even watch cricket matches on television." I have been talking a lot about cricket and analyzing my game with my father, Zubin Bharucha, the director of performance for the Rajasthan Royals.

In the third Twenty20 International encounter between India and Afghanistan at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday, India's star batsman Virat Kohli was handed his first-ever golden duck, but he was outstanding in the field and won the fielder of the match. With a thrilling victory in the third Twenty20 International on Wednesday, the Indian cricket team effectively won the series against Afghanistan. With two super overs needed to decide the winner in Bengaluru, the series' final game delivered one of the most memorable matchups in T20 history. For the first time in the history of international cricket, the outcome was determined following two super overs. The record-breaking 190* run partnership between Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh for the fifth wicket enabled India reach 212, but the difficult surface of M Chinnaswamy Stadium was too much to overcome.Because of his dramatic role in the super over and his 121* from 69 balls knock, Rohit was named Player of the Match. In addition, Rinku had a significant impact with a speedy 69 runs, and Washington Sundar contributed with the ball by claiming three wickets. However, supporters were dissatisfied to see Virat Kohli give up his first golden duck in T20Is. However, the great cricketer saved vital runs with outstanding fielding to help India win thrillingly. The official Fielder of the Game award was won by Kohli during the post-match ceremony. In this series, Virat claimed two catches in two games, and Rohit and Rinku each claimed two catches in three innings. Following the match, T Dilip, the fielding coach for India, emphasized the role played by the fielders in the team's 3-0 series victory. He singled out Rinku and Virat in particular for their efforts to save runs. Before Rinku, T Dilip named Virat the Fielder of the Series and gave him a medal.
