NEW DELHI: The highly awaited five-match Test series between England and India began on Sunday night as the cricket team from England landed at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.England's team for the forthcoming Test series against India arrived in Hyderabad on January 21 as both teams prepared for the first Test, which would take place at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on January 25.India vs. England Test Series: On January 21, England's team arrived in Hyderabad in preparation for the forthcoming Test series against India, which will begin with the first Test on January 25 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.In anticipation of their five-match Test series against India, the England cricket team arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on Sunday evening. The fifth and final Test of the long-format series between India and England will take place in Dharamshala on March 11 after it begins in Hyderabad on January 25. This will be England's first Test series after the ODI World Cup in 2023. In June 2023, England and Australia squared off in their final Test match, with a 2-2 series draw.England batsman Dan Lawrence was called up to replace young batsman Harry Brook, who withdrew from the five-Test India series, just before the team left for India. Ben Stokes will captain a revamped England Test side for the next series.Last month, the England Lions team trained in the United Arab Emirates, including debutants Tom Hartley and Shoaib Bashir.

Vice-captain Ollie Pope and Jack Leach joined them in the United Arab Emirates to intensify their preparations as they returned to Test duty after injuries.It is noteworthy that Chris Woakes, Liam Dawson, and Will Jacks are not present. Uncapped Gus Atkinson will be promoted from the limited-overs team to spearhead the pace attack in India, where James Anderson will be the captain. Ollie Robinson and Mark Wood are the team's additional pacers. Ben Foakes, the wicketkeeper, was called up in the meanwhile after being dropped out of the Ashes team earlier this year. The other wicketkeeper for the team is Jonny Bairstow. Leach and Ollie Pope are also back from their injuries.Ben Stokes (captain), James Anderson, Rehan Ahmed, Gus Atkinson, Jonny Bairstow, Shoib Bashir, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ben Foakes (wk), Dan Lawrence, Tom Hartley, Jack Leach, Ollie Pope, Ollie Robinson, Joe Root, and Mark Wood are the members of the England Test team for the India series.

With two victories and a draw in the Ashes series against Australia, England, captained by Ben Stokes, had a poor start to the new World Test Championship cycle. They were further hindered by a 19-point defeat because of slo over-rate. People were lining the streets to catch a glimpse of their idols.
