Kerala HC wants to see The Kerala Story 2 after discovering that the teaser and trailer misrepresent the state.

Kerala HC wants to see The Kerala Story 2 after discovering that the teaser and trailer misrepresent the state.

The Kerala High Court on Tuesday (February 24, 2026) requested that the movie be shown to it on Wednesday, claiming that the teaser and trailer for The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond "wrongly portrays" the people of Kerala. Since Kerala is mentioned in the title by the filmmakers, who claim that the film tells a pan-Indian story, the concerns of the people of the State cannot be disregarded. Tensions within the community could result from this," it stated."You don't think the Court ought to see the film. "You want the question of whether this petition is a private or public litigation to be resolved," the court said. The Court made the observation during the hearing of three petitions from people who wanted to prevent the film's release and have the Central Board of Film Certification's (CBFC) certificate revoked because they believed the movie stigmatized and misrepresented Kerala, which could cause tensions and discord among communities. The Court noted that the petitioners' concerns seemed prima facie justified because the movie was being projected as "inspired by true events" and prominently carried the name of the state in its title, even though the sequels' plot had no real connection to Kerala. The Court then expressed its inclination to watch the film during the morning hearing. Therefore, it requested that the producer and the CBFC's legal representatives obtain guidance regarding the best time to screen the film for the Court. Additionally, the movie producers' attorney stated that the screening may go.

Lekin, I never believed in oiling before.Behind her shiny hair, Chitrangada Singh reveals a secret combination.

On the podcast Let's Talk for Namitaa, Chitrangada Singh recently talked about her hair care regimen and credited oiling for improving the quality of her hair. "I never used to believe in oiling, lekin bahut farak padta, oiling is very, very important," she said. The quality of your hair has improved since I started using rosemary, pepper mint, almond oil, and teen cheezon ko mix karke mujhe diya hai kisni.IndianExpress.com contacted Dr. Bhawuk Dhir, Consultant Dermatology, PSRI Hospital, to verify the actor's claim. He concurred that oiling has advantages, "but with realistic expectations."According to Dr. Dhir, "regular hair oiling can be scientifically effective, but its impact varies from person to person." He explains that oils don't directly promote the growth of new hair by activating biological growth pathways. The main functions of oils are as protecting and emollients. They protect the hair shaft from friction and environmental harm, prevent breakage, lessen dryness, and seal in moisture," he says. During oil application, a light scalp massage may also promote improved blood circulation. Dr. Dhir continues, "The evidence is stronger for improved texture and reduced damage rather than dramatic hair growth, even though this creates a healthier scalp environment."

The movie won the top honors at the gala on Sunday night, defeating both the vampire thriller Sinners and the Shakespearean family tragedy Hamnet. The UK awards, formally known as the EE BAFTA Film Awards, frequently offer clues about the winners of Hollywood's Academy Awards, which take place on March 15 this year. In addition to winning accolades for directing, adapted screenplay, cinematography, and editing, One Battle After Another, an explosive picture about a gang of revolutionaries engaged in a violent fight with the state, also earned praise for Sean Penn's supporting role as an obsessive military officer. As he accepted the directing award, Anderson remarked, "This is very overwhelming and wonderful." In the film, the director used Nina Simone's statement, "I know what freedom is: It's no fear." "Let's continue creating without fear. It's a smart idea. With a record 16 Oscar nominations, Sinners took home the best original score, best supporting actress award for Wunmi Mosaku, and best original screenplay for writer and director Ryan Coogler. Hamnet took home two prizes, including best British film, while the gothic horror tale Frankenstein took home three. One of the strongest candidates for BAFTA's best director and non-English language film categories was The Voice of Hind Rajab, a documentary exposing Israel's horrific invasion on Gaza. Sentimental Value, however, took first place in the non-English language category.

Why Indian consumers may find the iPhone Air to be a confusing option

Although the ultra-thin iPhone Air at Tuesday's Apple presentation attracted a lot of attention, it's possible that this marks the beginning of something new for both Apple and the smartphone market. The iPhone Plus models, which have been popular for years, will be replaced by this new iPhone for Apple. However, in contrast to those larger iPhones, this one also provides access to Apple's Pro processor line. The device places Apple in an odd position, particularly in price-conscious areas like India, even if the company believes it would satisfy consumers who demand a small and light iPhone with Pro features. Customers will inquire as to whether this is a more affordable iPhone Pro or a larger iPhone. Although it costs more than a standard iPhone, this model only has one camera in comparison to basic iPhones. Then, this will serve people who want a gadget that is slimmer and more powerful but aren't particularly concerned about its camera capabilities. The slim, light, and nearly weightless iPhone Air, weighing only 165 grams, lives true to its name. At only 5.64 mm thick, it's one of the thinnest iPhones ever, and its titanium construction makes it strong without adding weight. It's the type of phone that practically blends into your pocket or purse.

Abhishek Bachchan petitions the Delhi High Court to defend his personality rights.

Mumbai: Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan has filed a case in the Delhi High Court to have his personality rights protected, claiming that rogue websites were violating his name and image.Later in the day, Justice Tejas Karia will hear this request, which follows his wife and actress Aishwarya Rai's court appearance in a related case. Bachchan has appealed against Bollywood Tee Shop, a website that sells t-shirts featuring Bollywood stars. The website and other infringers were the targets of the petition, which claimed that the unauthorized use of his persona was a part of a larger trend of online fraud that takes advantage of celebrities' identities.According to Bachchan's plea, the website and other violators should be blocked, infringement-related URLs should be taken down, and Google and YouTube should be ordered to remove illegal content. Additionally, he asked that the order be extended to "John Doe" defendants, who are unnamed parties who might host similar infringing material in the future. One kind of court order against anonymous or unknown people is called "John Doe." In intellectual property and personality rights situations, it permits a celebrity, brand, or copyright owners to block not just the known infringers but also future or unnamed offenders who may misuse their name, image, or material.Bachchan's official lawyer, Dhruv Anand, asserted that the site was selling items, giving the false impression that he was endorsing it.

On its third day at the box office, The Conjuring: Last Rites India recorded Hollywood's largest opening weekend of 2025!

The Conjuring: Last Rites debuted in theaters on September 5, 2025, and horror enthusiasts from all over India went to the theaters this past weekend. After being released in four languages—English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu—the movie shot to the top of the charts, taking the top spot both domestically and internationally. In its three-day opening weekend at the Indian box office, the ninth installment in the hugely successful Conjuring Universe franchise premiered on 2,130 screens, including IMAX, and brought in an incredible 49.54 crore net (58.45 crore gross). This outstanding start makes it Warner Bros.' best-ever opening in India and the largest opening for a Hollywood horror film in the nation. It also recorded Hollywood's largest opening weekend of 2025.Over the years, the Conjuring movies have gained a sizable fan base in India thanks to their reputation for fusing jump scares with spooky, real-life-inspired narratives. With a stronger sense of closure, Last Rites carries on that custom. Franchise mainstays Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return to their roles as renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in the movie, taking on one of their most challenging and sinister cases to date. The picture is produced by seasoned franchise designers James Wan and Peter Safran and directed by Michael Chaves, who has previously directed The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and The Curse of La Llorona. With a total global box office total of over $2 billion, the Conjuring Universe solidifies its status as one of the most lucrative horror franchises in contemporary filmmaking with Last Rites. However, the thrill—the screams, the chills, and that distinctive Conjuring atmosphere that keeps viewers coming back for more—is more important to audiences than the figures.

An examination of some significant fashion moments that shaped Giorgio Armani's legacy, from Richard Gere to Alia Bhatt

An examination of some significant fashion moments that shaped Giorgio Armani's legacy, from Richard Gere to Alia Bhatt

Giorgio Armani, a wealthy brand owner and renowned Italian fashion designer, passed away at the age of 91. He was the epitome of Italian grace and style, reinventing suits for both men and women for a contemporary market. Originally a fashion brand, Armani has since branched out into luxury hotels, music, cosmetics, scent, and sports. As the world laments the death of a trailblazing designer, we examine some of his most memorable fashion moments that still influence how we view luxury and style today.Richard Gere's appearance in the 1980 movie American Gigolo was the fashion event that really catapulted Armani into international fame. Julian, played by Gere, wore Armani's ground-breaking soft-shouldered suits, which contrasted with the period's stiff, structured menswear. A new manly image that was both sensual and powerful was established by the loose silhouettes and flowing, unlined jackets. Armani became linked with elegant masculinity as a result of this societal transition. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Armani's partnership with actress Michelle Pfeiffer revolutionized power dressing. Her appearances in Armani's flowing, architectural designs demonstrated the harmony between strength and softness. Pfeiffer's appearances on the red carpet wearing Armani's distinctive draped silhouettes and muted color schemes served as the model for contemporary celebrity fashion.Alia Bhatt's attendance at Cannes 2025 was a turning point for Armani's worldwide impact as well as Bollywood fashion. At Cannes 2025, Alia Bhatt debuted her second look, looking lovely in a blue Armani Privé gown embellished with jewels. At the red carpet, the actor's sparkling headgear stole the show as she changed into what many called a bejeweled goddess.Leonardo DiCaprio and Armani have a long history together, and their connection has resulted in many unforgettable red carpet events. His attendance at important award shows wearing Armani's flawlessly fitted tuxedos has continuously shown the designer's ability to produce clothing that is both classic and up to date.

When Dharmendra insisted on playing Gabbar or Thakur, Sholay director Ramesh Sippy responded, "Hema Malini nahi milegi."

Ramesh Sippy is working on a documentary about his landmark film Sholay (1975), which was released fifty years ago. Following his insistence that he had discussed the film enough over the previous fifty years, he consented to an exclusive interview with SCREEN regarding the casting choice, the film's enduring legacy, contentious ending, impending restoration, and his directing ambitions. The film starred Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Hema Malini, and Sanjeev Kumar.Seeta Aur Geeta was delivered in accordance with the requirements. It provided the returns in line with that. For me, the experience was just as amazing as Sholay's. When I'm making a film, I give it my all. Sholay, of course, had a larger canvas. Given that it was an action movie with an outdoor setting, it was a massive 70 mm experience. Why would Salim-Javed be unable to deliver in Sholay if they could in Seeta Aur Geeta? Characters, settings, and circumstances are all part of writing. Who could have done a better job creating Gabbar? As the Angry Young Man, Salim-Javed's name is synonymous with Amitabh Bachchan. A few years before to Sholay, Prakash Mehra's Zanjeer (1973), their debut collaboration, had been released. Sholay came out the same year as Yash Chopra's Deewaar (1975). Did Bachchan not play the Angry Young Man in your movie worry you?He kept to himself. He differed from the flamboyant Dharmendra ji in that regard. Bachchan was more reserved, but his facial expressions spoke it all. With the exception of the song "Yeh Dosti Hum Nahin," he didn't have to be as loud. Otherwise, only Jaya Bachchan and Amit ji could portray that kind of relationship with the lamp's lighting. While feeling the emotions they did, they kept their distance because it was the appropriate thing to do. This was silent love and admiration. They did a wonderful job of communicating what I desired.

"We Have Parted In Good Spirits" is Boney Kapoor's confirmation of Diljit Dosanjh's No Entry 2 Entrance.

Boney Kapoor said NDTV, "Yes, we have parted in good spirits as the dates were not aligning with our requirements, hopefully, we will soon do a Punjabi film together," confirming that Diljit Dosanjh is not a part of No Entry 2. According to reports, Diljit's hectic schedule interfered with the film's production, especially his Aura Tour, which took place in Australia and New Zealand from October 26 to November 13. The actor-singer is juggling back-to-back projects with his international tours, making him one of the busiest stars in both music and film right now.The new cast of Boney's No Entry 2, which included Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh, was supposed to begin filming in October 2025. But Diljit is no longer involved in the project. Boney disclosed, "Yes, we did part ways amicably because the dates did not work out for us. I hope we can work together on a Punjabi movie soon.Diljit seems to be concentrating on his music career right now. The singer-actor just revealed that he will be going to Australia and New Zealand for his 2025 Aura Tour. The tour will start in Sydney on October 26 and stop in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth before ending in Auckland on November 13.Boney also acknowledged at a recent event that he still finds it frustrating that he was unable to reunite the original group of Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan. "Yeh humara loss hai that we couldn't keep the same star cast," he said. We waited for perhaps eight or ten years, but for some reason nothing came of it. They will be missed. We are currently working with a younger group of actors in an effort to give them a new beginning. As much as we shall miss Salman, we will also miss Fardeen and Anil. They were the three boys who started No Entry. They were also the most adored. One of the biggest blockbusters of the year was the 2005 Bollywood comedy-drama, which was produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Anees Bazmee. Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, and Celina Jaitly were among the cast members. The film is still regarded as a classic because of its clever writing and the group's flawless comic timing. More information is still pending, however the sequel is presently under development with a new cast that includes Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor.

Following Bade Miyan Chote Miyan's failure, Tiger Shroff talks about going through a sad period and believes Baaghi 4 will reveal a "different me": "It is difficult to reinvent myself."

The darkest movie in the Baaghi series, Baaghi 4, is coming out soon, and actor Tiger Shroff is getting ready for it. However, following a run of successive box office disappointments, including Ganpath, Heropanti 2, and Bade Mitan Chote Miyan, he had a decline in his career in recent years. Tiger discussed the impending film, his new persona, enduring the dark chapter in his career, and much more in a recent interview."I'm feeling restless, happy, excited, blessed, and grateful that the audiences are going to see a very different side of me in my next release Baaghi 4," he stated in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, sharing his thoughts and feelings about the occasion. I am eagerly awaiting their response. Although it has been quite the learning curve, the past three years have undoubtedly not been simple. I believe that as a result, I've improved as an artist. The actor went on to say that he has incorporated the lessons he learned during his difficult time into his next film, Baaghi 4. "I hope the audience—and you, Sir—see Baaghi 4 because I've incorporated all those lessons into it. As previously said, it is impossible to accurately forecast a movie's outcome. However, we have truly put our all into this one. God has blessed the Baaghi franchise, and for that I am incredibly thankful. For me, the fact that it has reached its fourth installment is a huge deal, and I am incredibly grateful to Sajid Nadiadwala Sir for providing me with this franchise and platform. His parents, Jackie and Ayesha Shroff, have always been his rock during both his prosperous and challenging times. "My soulmates are my parents." I feel incredibly fortunate and thankful," he said.He said, "Honestly, I thought it had everything going for it," in response to a question about what might have gone wrong with his most recent movie, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar. Regretfully, audiences didn't find it particularly compelling. However, I had a great time filming the movie, and I will always be appreciative of the producers, Vashu Bhagnani ji and Jackky Bhagnani ji. Tiger went on, "Of course, my co-actor and childhood hero, Akshay Kumar Sir, and our director, Ali Abbas Zafar Sir, who is one of my favorite directors." We had a great time making the movie, and if I had to do it over, I wouldn't alter a thing.
