Company Behind 'Bigg Boss Kannada' Takes Legal Action Against Premises Sealing and Contestant Eviction by Pollution Control Board

Company Behind 'Bigg Boss Kannada' Takes Legal Action Against Premises Sealing and Contestant Eviction by Pollution Control Board

VELS Studio And Entertainment Private Limited, the host of the reality show 'Big Boss Kannada' at its Bidadi location, has approached the Karnataka High Court to contest an October 6 order from the State Pollution Control Board that mandated the immediate closure of the studio premises. The petition claims that the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board's action is arbitrary, illegal, and lacks jurisdiction, authority, and compliance with due process. It indicates that the closure order dated 06.10.2025 was carried out on the following day, 07.10.2025 (Tuesday), concerning the petitioner's property located in Bidadi, Ramanagara District, which contains the legitimate operations of VELS Studios and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The petition claims that the order was issued with complete disregard for natural justice principles, denying the petitioner a chance to be heard.According to the plea, the respondents have tried to suddenly stop ongoing television production activities, including filming the well-known reality show "BIG BOSS", while acting beyond their authority and with a clear intention to harm. Moreover, it is claimed that the timing and rush involved in passing and executing the order—occurring as they did at the same time as the launch and public broadcast of that show—demonstrate a conscious and intentional effort to disrupt the Petitioner's legitimate business activities and impede its commercial operations. Additionally, the plea argues that the order lacks details regarding the supposed pollutant, including its characteristics, concentration, and the method by which this pollution is alleged to have happened. Without these specifics, the order turns indistinct, capricious, and lacks justification. Moreover, the Respondent authority has not documented even minimal findings as mandated by law for a quasi-judicial order, thus breaching fundamental principles of natural justice.an industrial establishment or factory. According to Section 2(d) of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, an "environmental pollutant" is defined as any substance that exists at a concentration detrimental to human life. Data from laboratory or clinical tests must necessarily support such a finding. In the current case, no such data or test report has been used as a basis. The Respondent's actions have been based solely on assumptions, which has made the impugned order arbitrary and unsustainable. The plea requests that the closure order be set aside. Meanwhile, it is seeking a stay on the operation of the order from October 6 and a direction to the respondents not to disrupt the daily business carried out at those premises.

In response to the cheating allegations made by Dhanashree, he stated, “As a sportsperson, I do not cheat. Agar koi do mahine mein hi cheat karta, toh kya itna lamba rishta chalta? (Would the relationship have lasted this long if someone had cheated in the first two months?) I consider this chapter finished and settled. I have progressed in my life, and everyone else should as well.Chahal dismissed the speculation, labeling the claims as “baseless and exhausting.” He further explained that he has progressed beyond this phase of his life. Although the teaser, which lasts over two minutes, will be released digitally tomorrow (October 1), Bollywood Hungama had an early glimpse of it today.Tere Ishk Mein is a departure from anything Aanand L Rai has done previously. The teaser presents an important scene from the movie. This scene is a writing masterstroke, enhanced further by the direction and performances. The teaser also includes a montage of sequences, culminating in a powerful exchange of dialogue. The impact is enhanced by the use of the title track, performed by Arijit Singh and Faheem Abdullah. The latter also sang Saiyaara's title track. Dhanush appears in an avatar never seen before, at least in a Hindi film. Kriti Sanon appears to have also put forth her best effort.Tere Ishk Mein appears to be a movie brimming with fury and fervor. This is the genre that is currently booming, as shown by the nearly Rs. 50 crore box office collection of the 2016 film Sanam Teri Kasam. Meanwhile, Saiyaara went into overdrive and emerged as a sleeper blockbuster. Thus, the timing for Tere Ishk Mein is perfect.Tere Ishk Mein, with its emotional intensity, compelling performances, and a genre resonating with contemporary audiences, comes at an opportune moment. The film is set to release on November 28 without any competition, giving it a significant advantage that could greatly benefit it. And if the teaser is any sign, the excitement will only increase from here. With excitement mounting, it seems clear that Tere Ishk Mein is set to become one of the most discussed releases of the year.

Ali aimed to return to his origins with his next film, revisiting the genre that had bestowed him so much affection. He was astounded to see Ahaan Panday and his presence in the emotional and dramatic moments of Saiyaara. The source adds, “Aditya Chopra was the one who advised Ali to choose Ahaan, as a film featuring a young star would enhance the element of surprise for the audience. According to Aditya Chopra, Ahaan’s lack of exposure is his greatest asset, as the success of Saiyaara will heighten anticipation for his next moves. In this film, which lacks a title as of now, Adi and Ali will reveal a completely different aspect of Ahaan’s acting by immersing him in a world where intense passion, romance, and action converge with hard-hitting drama. The source further informs, “The script is finalized and the music-seatings have already commenced. Ali Abbas Zafar and Aditya Chopra are aiming to start filming the movie in the first quarter of 2026. The film, which has not yet been given a title, will mark the fifth collaboration between Aditya Chopra and Ali Abbas Zafar following Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai. The duo boasts a flawless record with a 100 percent HIT rate, and the Ahaan Panday film is anticipated to carry on their success.

Homebound film critique: The movie featuring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor fearlessly addresses disturbing realities

Homebound movie review: The film begins with two young men, Chandan and Shoaib, battling their way into a surging crowd, maneuvering from the periphery to the center, making room for themselves. The setting is a train station, from where they aspire to be carried away, longing for the ‘ijjat’ and ‘paisa’ that will grant them the dignity they have evidently been denied throughout their lives. The ‘ijjat’ and ‘paisa’ — respect and money — that Chandan Kumar (Vishal Jethwa) and Shoaib Akhtar Ali (Ishaan Khatter) crave are not the same as what the rest of us seek, armed with names that carry our family legacies: the former’s house has a ‘chhaprail’ with a widening hole that lets rainwater in whenever it rains; the latter's father requires surgery to be able to walk again. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and featuring Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, the film Homebound has received critical acclaim for its fearless depiction of caste and religious discrimination against migrant workers, especially during the pandemic. The film, inspired by real events, showcases powerful and subtle performances, particularly from Jethwa and Khatter as they embody resilience and camaraderie in remarkable ways. Janhvi Kapoor is also commended for her measured and sincere performance. The film's powerful and poignant narrative is enhanced by its cinematic craftsmanship, including cinematography and editing, leaving critics and audiences profoundly affected.

Movie review of They Call Him OG: Pawan Kalyan takes charge of OG in Sujeeth’s action film

Movie review of They Call Him OG: Pawan Kalyan takes charge of OG in Sujeeth’s action film

They Call Him OG Movie Review & Rating: In Indian cinema, making films with superstars has never been more challenging. Take a look around, and you will see filmmakers today dashing about in search of characters, narratives, backstories, settings, and dilemmas that will set them apart from the next individual who is similarly hunting. In what now appears to be a game of tropes, some utilize the timeless Baashha (1995) trope of a reluctant hero confronted by his past, while others are fixated on the more modern KGF concept of a vast, mythical underworld teeming with ingenious figures. The Baahubali device, though its origins go back several decades, is quite useful in stories where a hero regains their throne due to fate, lineage, or prophecy. It wouldn’t be shocking if a narrative matrix, akin to a table that indicates possibilities and things to avoid, exists somewhere to assist writers and filmmakers in this world that is becoming more and more governed by algorithms.OG is enjoyable depending on the viewer's acceptance of fan-service sequences. The narrative offers little drama or depth. Essentially, it revolves around a recognizable gangster tale: the middle-aged main character comes back from exile to shield his family and face dangers to the city. This wide-ranging narrative has appeared in a number of recent Indian action films from various languages, resulting in a predictable aspect to the story even though it is skillfully carried out.By incorporating an origin story from Japan, OG gains a degree of novelty, permitting visuals inspired by anime and action choreography drawing on Aikido and various other martial arts. The meticulousness extends to the selection of font style for specific credits.

He delivered an extensive monologue filled with puns and sarcasm, addressing the shooting of Trump aide Charlie Kirk and Trump himself.Kimmel, with tears in his eyes and filled with emotion, stated that Trump “tried his best” to have him canceled and emphasized that he wasn’t attempting to make light of Kirk’s murder—comments that drew controversy on his show. The ABC star exited the stage to a hero's welcome and several minutes of applause before his 20-minute monologue. “To be honest, it was damaging to the ears,” said Kevin Winhard, a participant.Kimmel, who has consistently criticized Trump, addressed the controversial issue of the shooting of Kirk, a right-wing activist, directly in his opening remarks. “I know I can’t change anyone’s mind, but I want to clarify something for my own sake: Please understand that I never meant to trivialize the murder of a young man,” Kimmel said.Kimmel further stated, with his voice breaking, "Nor was it my intention to blame any specific group for the actions of what... was obviously a deeply disturbed individual. "The host of the late-night show, who has a huge global fanbase, became emotional while commending Kirk's wife, Erica, for her public forgiveness of her husband's murderer. Kimmel, with tears in his eyes, said, "I hope it can be that." Kirk, who assisted Trump in garnering support from young voters before the presidential election, was fatally shot while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University.Kimmel infuriated a portion of conservatives when he claimed on his program that Trump loyalists were "doing everything they can" to gain political advantage from the tragedy. Er warf zudem die Möglichkeit auf, dass Kirk von einem MAGA-Republikaner getötet worden sein könnte. Last week, after Republicans raised a clamor, ABC suspended Kimmel's show for an "indefinite" period. However, it had to permit 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' to restart production due to backlash from Hollywood stars, media hosts, and even Republicans like Ted Cruz.Kimmel infuriated a portion of conservatives when he claimed on his program that Trump loyalists were "doing everything they can" to gain political advantage from the tragedy.
