The appeal requested the issuance of a suitable writ instructing Respondent No. 1 (medical college) to give the Petitioners and students on the list a regular monthly salary for the duration of their internship.It also asked for guidance from the NMC and others on how much should be paid to these students during their internship, in accordance with the guidelines that other medical colleges adhere to. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Medical College in Vidisha is where these students are presently completing their internship.The plea also made reference to the notice from the Government Medical Education Department of Madhya Pradesh dated November 17, 2022, which stipulated that interns will receive a stipend of Rs 12,760 starting on April 1, 2022.
