PUTRAJAYA: Due to the presence of scheduled toxins, the Health Ministry canceled the notice of two cosmetic goods, which are now prohibited from sale in Malaysia. The items in question were "Ailas Wild Rose Petal Face Cream" and "Desha Night Cream," a moisturizing product. It was discovered that both of these products contained tretinoin and mercury. This was stated by Health Director-General Datuk Dr. Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan on Tuesday, July 9.He added in a statement that the senior director of Pharmaceutical Services at the Ministry of Health has canceled the items' notification."Mercury is not allowed to be included in cosmetic goods since it can enter the body and harm the kidneys and neurological system.

Additionally, it may disrupt a developing child's or unborn child's brain development. He added that rashes, inflammation, and other skin changes might also be brought on by mercury. Products containing tretinoin, a medication that must be registered with the Drug Control Authority, should only be taken under a doctor's recommendation, according to Dr. Muhammad Radzi.According to him, using products containing these ingredients without professional supervision can result in unfavorable skin side effects like redness, soreness, discomfort, peeling, and UV sensitivity.
