Australia Women vs. India Women LIVE Score Updates, First ODI: Australia wins easily thanks to Beth Mooney's elegant 76

At the Allan Border Field in Brisbane on Tuesday, Australia won the first ODI by six wickets with 70 balls remaining. Alyssa Healy also struck a strong half century, making the run chase of 215 appear effortless. While Kashvee Gautam played a beautiful hand further down the order and Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur hit half-centuries, it was difficult for the Indian hitters. Jemimah Rodrigues followed immediately after Pratika Rawal and Shafali Verma fell. Soon after reaching her half-century, Mandhana fell, and India found it difficult to gain pace in the middle overs.India reached 214 all out in 48.3 overs as Harmanpreet and Kashvee's partnership for the eighth wicket helped them surpass 200. While Alana King took only one wicket but was difficult for India's hitters to dismiss, Ash Gardner took three for Australia. In India's opening game following their World Cup victory in November, Harmanpreet Kaur had previously chosen to bat first. India had won the first and third games of the multi-format series, taking a 4-2 lead (in points) after defeating Australia 2-1 in the T20I leg. Before the hosts, headed by a newcomer in Sophie Molineux, responded in the second game in Canberra to tie the series at one, the Harmanpreet-led team won the rain-affected opening Twenty20 International by 21 runs in Sydney. In Adelaide, India defeated Australia by 17 runs thanks to a stylish 82 from Smriti Mandhana.

Suryakumar believes India will win the T20 World Cup.

Suryakumar Yadav, captain of India, thinks his team can quickly recover from their defeat to South Africa and advance to the ICC Men's T20 World Cup knockout stages. India was defeated by the Proteas by 76 runs in Ahmedabad on Sunday, ending a 12-match winning streak. They now have a difficult job to defend the title they famously won in Barbados in 2024. This was India's first defeat of the T20 World Cup.In order to go to the semi-finals, Suryakumar's team will now probably need to win their remaining Super Eight games against Zimbabwe and the West Indies. However, if the Proteas stay undefeated during this round, one victory might be sufficient.Zimbabwe will be India's next opponent in Chennai on Thursday, and Suryakumar doesn't believe his squad needs to make many changes to get back to winning ways. When asked what India needs to perform well for the rest of the competition, a candid Suryakumar responded, "Hopefully, we bat well, bowl well, and field well."That's all. We'll make an effort to keep things easy. I believe we'll return strong if we play the same style of cricket that we want to play and nothing changes."India isn't anticipated to make many changes before their matches against Zimbabwe and the West Indies, but the team is worried about the performance of their top-ranked T20I batsman, Abhishek Sharma, who was dismissed cheaply for just 14 against the Proteas once more. Suryakumar laments the loss of early wickets during the run chase as India faltered in response to South Africa's score of 187/7, and the left-hander was one of three players removed during the Powerplay."If you're chasing 180-185, you can't win the game in the Powerplay, but you might lose the game in the Powerplay," the captain of India thought.

T20 World Cup, India vs. Pakistan: Salman Agha considers the "big picture" following defeat, while Suryakumar dedicates victory to India

Following a humiliating loss in a match that never lived up to its blockbuster billing, India captain Suryakumar Yadav dedicated Sunday's (February 16, 2026) Twenty20 World Cup triumph over Pakistan to supporters nationwide, while his opposite number, Salman Agha, encouraged perspective. As India amassed 175-7 and then went back to bundle out Pakistan for 114 in 18 overs, the much-anticipated showdown between the South Asian neighbors, who engaged in a military crisis that almost erupted into a full-fledged war last year, failed to ignite.Despite the tensions, the game itself went without any flashpoints, but the opposing captains did not shake hands during the toss. When the coin was flipped, Salman and Suryakumar avoided eye contact and appeared solemn. When the India captain addressed at the R. Premadasa Stadium following the game, the atmosphere was very different."This is for the Indian market. With a broad smile, the batter remarked, "We played the same brand of cricket that we wanted to play."Ishan Kishan was praised by Suryakumar for his quick 77, which helped them win.Ishan Kishan batted in the same manner as he did on the domestic circuit and in our prior games. Ishan took charge of the powerplay and had an unconventional idea."India v Pakistan is a special game for us and our country," Kishan said. "This is a crucial game. We attempted to play excellent shots, but they had fantastic spinners. We feel more confident moving further in the competition.

Pakistan Minister Establishes 'Suryakumar Yadav Condition' for Asia Cup Trophy Transfer to India

Pakistan Minister Establishes 'Suryakumar Yadav Condition' for Asia Cup Trophy Transfer to India

In light of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) rejecting requests for a trophy handover ceremony, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) leader Mohsin Naqvi has reportedly introduced a new condition to break the deadlock regarding the Asia Cup 2025. During an ACC meeting on Tuesday, BCCI officials Rajeev Shukla and Ashish Shelar put Naqvi on the defensive by requesting that the trophy be stored in the Asian body's Dubai office for shipping to India.Naqvi, however, demonstrated little to no willingness to comply with the requests from the Indian board. A report by the Pakistani media outlet Geo Super states that Naqvi even opposed the mention of the trophy handover in the meeting, as it was not included in the original agenda. During a virtual meeting, Naqvi informed Rajeev Shukla, "This item was not included in the agenda for the ACC meeting." Naqvi, in response to the BCCI's insistence on the trophy's return, stated: "If the Indian team wants the trophy, the captain can come to the ACC office and collect it from me. "Witnessing Naqvi's lack of cooperation, the BCCI warned the heads of the ACC and PCB that if the trophy is not transferred to the Indian team within a specified timeframe, they will lodge a complaint with the ICC concerning this issue. As PTI reported, a source stated, “It was clarified that the BCCI would lodge a complaint with the ICC, and Shelar made a brief exit from the meeting.” During the tournament, the two teams faced off three times, with India emerging victorious on each occasion, including in the final. During the event, India upheld a 'no-handshake policy' with Pakistani players, which angered the PCB.Following the Pahalgam terror attack, where Pakistan-backed terrorists killed 26 Indian tourists, tensions between the two neighbors have reached unprecedented levels.

IPL 2024 Qualifier 2 What transpired during SRH and RRs lone playoff meeting?

IPL 2024 Qualifier 2: This Friday at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, the Sunrisers and Royals will square off in the Qualifier 2.On Friday, May 24, at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, SRH and RR will face off in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Qualifier 2. After defeating RCB by 4 wickets in the eliminator on Wednesday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the Royals will be full of confidence. Player of the Match was to R Ashwin for of his economical spell. In the Qualifier 1 in Ahmedabad, however, the Sunrisers were defeated by Shreyas Iyer's KKR by an 8-wicket margin. The Orange Army would have another chance to make the final since they placed in the top two. Both teams are playing well going into the Qualifier 2. With a 10-9 advantage over their rivals, SRH appears to have traded blows with one another on an equal footing. There is only one postseason game in which the Royals and Sunrisers have played each other. At the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, RR defeated SRH by 4 wickets in the Eliminator back in 2013. After Brad Hodge hit an undefeated 54 off 29 balls with two fours and five sixes, he was named Player of the Match and helped the Royals chase down 134 with four balls remaining.Choosing to bat first, SRH amassed 132 runs in 20 overs at a cost of 7 wickets. Although Cameron White and Shikhar Dhawan scored 33 and 31, respectively, they were never able to apply more pressure. The Orange Army passed the 120-run threshold thanks to a 29-run, 21-inning effort by Daren Sammy. Among the RR bowlers, Vikramjeet Malik stood out with figures of 3-0-14-2.After that, Hodge's valiant efforts saw KKR win in 19.2 overs. Sanju Samson, the current captain, battled and was dismissed by Dale Steyn after scoring 10 runs off of 21 balls. The day was saved for RR by Hodge and James Faulkner's undefeated 33-run partnership of 21 deliveries.

Yuzvendra Chahal caused more damage to RCB than Virat Kohlis wicket in the elimination match.

Yuzvendra Chahal caused more damage to RCB than Virat Kohlis wicket in the elimination match.

The biggest blow to Royal Challengers Bengaluru's chances of making it to the Qualifier II was struck by a once-familiar figure. A pivotal moment in the game saw Yuzvendra Chahal, who played for RCB for eight seasons before being dropped in the 2022 auction, dismiss an in-form Virat Kohli. His lack of retention surprised them since he was one of their most reliable bowlers, taking the most wickets despite other players coming and going, was familiar with the peculiarities of the field, and had a strong emotional connection to the team. When RCB declined to sign him, he expressed his emotions in a podcast, saying, "I felt very bad." 2014 marked the beginning of my major journey. I would also argue that I received the India cap as a result of my performances for RCB since they offered me an opportunity to perform, which made me feel quite strange. I played for the club for eight years. To say that the RCB missed him this season would be an understatement. The Royals' Chahal alone claimed 18 wickets, while the RCB's spinners could only muster 22. They suffered even greater losses in three of the seven games they played at home. Thus, Chahal represents their defective auction procedures. Mike Hesson, a pundit and former coach, agreed. Setting out time for your bowling assault is crucial, and having a spinner who can take wickets for you at Chinnaswamy is also essential. They made some decisions and intended to alter the bowling attack just before the auction, which is where they went wrong, he told The Indian Express.Throughout the season, their lack of a quality spinner plagued them, as they relied on the rotation of Karn Sharma (nine games), Swapnil Singh (seven), and Mayank Dagar (five), in addition to all-rounder Glenn Maxwell. Throughout the season, none of them had the knowledge or experience necessary to be a main spinner. The medium pacers performed the majority of the work because they lacked a cutting edge. Sharma, who was utilized the most, bowled 24 overs, which is fewer than three overs a game on average. Even worse, they broke the bank of seam-bowling all-rounder Cameron Green rather than going after a spinner. Though there's no denying his talent, they didn't need his skill sets. "Green, the player they acquired in the trade, somewhat threw off the side's equilibrium." All of this meant that they didn't have as much cash as they would have liked to go into the auction and that they couldn't get the correct targets. Hesson states, "If you bind those two things, you probably won't have the bowling attack you would want going into an IPL season."

To go to the Malaysia Masters semifinals, PV Sindhu defeats top seed Han Yue in the quarterfinals.

PV In order to secure a quarterfinal matchup with Han Yue, Sindhu had defeated Kirsty Gilmour in her round of 32 match and South Korea's YJ Sim in her round of 16 match. India's top-ranked female shuttler is Sindhu. It is expected that Sindhu's victory will greatly increase her confidence because she has been finding it difficult to maintain her winning streak. It had been little over a month since the two shuttlers' first encounter, which she lost to Han Yue.On April 11 at the Asian Badminton Championships in Ningbo, China, Yue had put an end to Sindhu's run in a thrilling three-game match that ended 18-21, 21-13, 17-21. Notably, the silver medallist from the Rio Olympics has been struggling with bad form for a very long time, which has caused her to fall out of the top 10 female shuttlers in the world rankings.Sindhu, who is presently ranked fifteenth, is working really hard to build back her self-assurance so that she can have the best chance of competing for the gold medal in the upcoming Olympics in Paris.

Virat Kohli should win the IPL by leaving RCB. Pietersen makes a daring forecast, using the example of Ronaldo, Messi, He should join.

Kevin Pietersen boldly predicted Virat Kohli's IPL goals and supported it with comparisons to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. In the IPL 2024 Eliminator on Wednesday, Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered a crushing defeat against Rajasthan Royals, leaving them unhappy once more. Since the IPL's start, Kohli and RCB have not taken home an IPL championship, and the wait goes on.After the game, England great Kevin Pietersen gave senior captain Virat Kohli some advise, believing that in order for him to win an IPL championship, he should sign with a different team. "I've said it before and I'll say it again: the greatest players in other sports have left their clubs to pursue success in other arenas. Even after he has made numerous attempts, won the Orange Cap, and accomplished a great deal, the franchise still fails. I see the value he adds to the team's brand and its commercial potential. However, Virat Kohli merits an award. He ought to be a member of a team that can assist him in winning the trophy," he stated on Star Sports.Pietersen also emphasized Kohli's Delhi origins and recommended that he follow in the footsteps of Harry Kane, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lionel Messi. "I truly believe Delhi should be the location. It's imperative that Virat travel to Delhi. I am aware that Virat owns a house in Delhi, so he is free to travel or spend most of his time at home. His family is young. He is able to stay longer there. He's a youngster from Delhi. Why is he unable to return? Delhi is just as in need as Bengaluru "added the speaker."I believe Virat should give it some serious attention. Harry Kane recently left Spurs and joined Bayern Munich, while Beckham, Ronaldo, and Messi all departed," the speaker said.In 19 overs, Rajasthan Royals, chasing 173, reached 174/6. Yashasvi Jaiswal hit the highest score in the match, scoring 45 runs in 30 balls. Mohammed Siraj, meanwhile, claimed two wickets for the RCB. RCB was first reduced to 172/8 in 20 overs by Rajat Patidar (34), Virat Kohli (33) and Mahipal Lomror (32). With numbers of 3/44, Avesh Khan returned for RR's bowling department. In Qualifier 2, RR will now play Sunrisers Hyderabad in an attempt to defeat KKR and advance to the IPL 2024 final.

Before the T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharmas Team India was bluntly criticized, saying they won be threatening and predictable.

The former cricketer for England didn't hold back when discussing his feelings about Team India in advance of the forthcoming T20 World Cup.When the Indian squad travels to the Americas to compete in the 2024 T20 World Cup, it will be looking to snap its 11-year streak of not winning an ICC trophy. The major competition will enter its ninth edition when it kicks off next month; India's previous World Cup victory occurred back in 2007 when it was held for the first time. In the previous season, India lost the semi-final match against eventual champions England by a lopsided 10-wicket margin.Since then, Hardik Pandya has assumed captaincy responsibilities for the entirety of the previous year, with India's senior batting tandem of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma missing the T20Is. But in India's series against Afghanistan earlier this year, the pair made a comeback to the shortest format, and they were able to secure a spot in the T20 World Cup. Along with Hardik as his deputy, Rohit will be heading the side as well.In an interview with TalkSport, former England cricketer David Lloyd harshly criticized India's strategy for the ICC championships. In a discussion on why India doesn't perform better in the high-stress scenarios of the knockout stages, Bumble, as Lloyd is affectionately called, emphasized that the Indian squad is afraid to take chances."I believe the opponent recognizes the caliber of these individuals—yes, they are good players. But neither the bat nor the ball is being risked by them. Thus, you would perceive them as "well, they might have their moments," but they wouldn't pose a serious threat," he continued. Before the T20 World Cup squad was chosen, there were heated discussions about the positions of some well-known players in the 15-person touring party. Concerns about Hardik Pandya's performance with the bat and the ball were raised in addition to Kohli's strike rate. Rinku Singh's exclusion from the team was one of the biggest surprises; for the previous 12 months, the Kolkata Knight Riders star was consistently among the first names in the T20I playing XI.Instead, the BCCI trusted Shivam Dube, who was playing exceptionally well for the Chennai Super Kings this year.

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs. Kolkata Knight Riders at Narendra Modi Stadium

IPL 2024: SRH vs. KKR Now Live score for an IPL match: In 70 matches, a remarkable 1,208 sixes have been hit in the current IPL season. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), whose batting has symbolized their daring approach and helped them climb from bottom (last year) to second (this year) position in the table, is leading the count with 160 in 13 matches.SRH, spearheaded by the formidable Australian bowler Pat Cummins, will be keen to make a lasting impression this time. But before that, they'll need to overcome Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Tuesday's first qualifier in Ahmedabad. The Knight Riders, guided by Gautam Gambhir, who led KKR to their two IPL championships in 2014 and 2016, have been the best team thus far this season. The new ball bowlers have been smashed to all areas of the pitch by the opening combination of West Indian Sunil Narine and Englishman Phil Salt, who has departed for national service. But, Kolkata hasn't had a chance to put Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Salt's like-for-like successor, to the test because their last two league games were postponed due to rain. The momentum created by the openers has been maintained by the middle-order, which consists of southpaw Nitish Rana, captain Shreyas Iyer, and Venkatesh Iyer. Rinku Singh and Andre Russell have also made significant contributions later in the order. The KKR batting will be put to the test by the Sunrisers' bowling combination of left-arm pacer T Natarajan, seasoned pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Cummins. Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, along with left-arm spinner Shahbaz Ahmed, has offered the spin bowling option since Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has been sidelined.Left-handed batsmen Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma have gone toe-to-toe from the first ball, matching KKR's strength at the top of the order.

Effect of Parveen Hoodas suspension: India will not win a medal in the 2023 Asian Games

The suspension of boxer Parveen Hooda may cause India to forfeit the bronze medal she took home from the People's Republic of China's Hangzhou Asian Games last year.Parveen, who had qualified for the boxing quota for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris after taking home the bronze in the women's 57kg weight class in Hangzhou, was suspended for 22 months due to an International Testing Agency (ITA) whereabouts issue. It further stated, "The athlete's results obtained between December 11, 2022, and May 17, 2024, are disqualified, in addition to the period of ineligibility."On October 4, 2023, Parveen Hooda confirmed her bronze medal after advancing to the semi-finals and losing to Lin Yu-ting of Chinese Taipei. The Indian boxer will forfeit her bronze medal since the outcome was determined inside the time frame set by the International Boxing Association. This development also means that India would finish with 106 medals overall in the Asian Games in 2023 instead of 107. It won't, however, have an impact on the nation's fourth-place result in the total medal count."Her suspension was shortened by eight months by the ITA, but her results were also canceled during that time," Boxing Federation of India (BFI) secretary Hemanta Kalita disclosed.India was also forced to give up the Paris 2024 quota that Parveen had won at the Asian Games because of the suspension. That being said, India will have a chance to make up ground at the second World Olympic Qualifiers, which get underway in Thailand on May 24. Jaismine Lamboria, who placed third in the women's 60kg class at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 2022, will compete in the 57kg division in the qualifying round. If Jaismine is able to make the deadline, she will be able to regain her quota.

Its Seniors Responsibility To Keep Players Together Harbhajan Singhs Direct View Of MI Captaincy Row

According to Harbhajan Singh, the choice backfired and caused the team to become less cohesive. Additionally, he believed that a year later, this choice may have been made. The Mumbai Indians' (MI) decision to reinstate all-rounder Hardik Pandya as captain backfired, according to former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh, and the team did not perform as a cohesive unit. For the five-time winners MI, the current Indian Premier League (IPL) season was one to forget. After a two-year tenure with Gujarat Titans (GT), where they won the title in their first season in 2022, they brought Pandya back. However, the all-rounder and the team faced intense reaction on social media when Rohit Sharma was named captain. With four wins, ten losses, and eight points, the club ended bottom of the standings. Pandya was jeered in stadiums around India during his matches. Pandya had performed in aRegarding MI's choice to reinstate Pandya, Harbhajan told ANI that it was a mistake that caused the team to become disunified. Additionally, he believed that a year later, this choice may have been made. But he asserted that Hardik is not at responsibility."MI's squad is quite large. I tried my best to earn it. The team is well-run and under excellent management. But it turned out to be a bad idea. Perhaps the idea was to focus on the future. The team did not appear cohesive, thus it appears that it did not sit well with them. It was inevitable. It hurts to see a large team—one of my former teams—have such dismal performance. Perhaps the decision was made at the wrong time. A year later, this choice might have been made more wisely. It's hardly Hardik's fault; in GT, he was an excellent captain. Regardless of the captain, it is the older players' responsibility to maintain team unity. CaptainsPandya amassed 216 runs at an average of 18,000 and a strike rate of 143.04 in 14 games, with a career-high score of 46. In addition, he claimed 11 wickets at a dismal 35.18 average and a 10.75 economy rate. Fans, however, will anticipate seeing a different Pandya in the blue jersey for India when the ICC T20 World Cup begins on June 1 in the USA and the West Indies. Vice-captain Pandya, who is an all-rounder with a strong record in white-ball international cricket and a penchant to perform well under duress, will be an important component of Rohit's Team India. India is paired with co-hosts the United States of America, Ireland, Canada, and bitter rival Pakistan in Group A of the ICC competition.India's T20 World Cup campaign will kick off on June 5 against Ireland at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Then, on June 9, the team will play their main match against Pakistan at the same stadium. India's next matches are against the USA on June 12 and Canada on June 15, respectively. Weve always considered whats best for the team, Virat Kohli said in reference to MS Dhonis tactical skill prior to their IPL match.

A picture can be interpreted or misinterpreted in a thousand different ways if it truly speaks a thousand words. It is well-known to Virat Kohli. An image of the Indian captain bending down in front of MS Dhoni during a 2016 World T20 match against Australia was posted on Twitter on Thursday along with the words, "A game I can never forget." unique evening. The rumors were circulating nonstop after this man forced me to run like it was a fitness test. Was that a sign that MS Dhoni would be retiring? The tweet gave the already-hot debate even more gasoline. It got so bad that Sakshi, Dhoni's wife, had to make a rare appearance on Twitter to try to stop it with a tweet of her own. Many believe that Dhoni's absence from the Indian dressing room since the World Cup in England and the ascent of young Rishabh Pant signal the beginning of India's most successful captain gradually fading out of the game, one year ahead of another T20 World Cup in Australia. On the eve of India's first Twenty20 match against South Africa, Kohli left the question open-ended.When asked if Dhoni will be a part of India's plans for the 2020 World T20, Kohli responded, "I think that when you decide to stop playing is an absolutely individual thing, and no one else should have an opinion on it." "Dhoni will be extremely, extremely valuable as long as he is available and plays," Kohli remarked. An instruction for Kohli The idea that Dhoni's tweet revealed where his career would be going in the near future was quickly refuted by Kohli. "There wasn't anything on my mind," said the man. I was at home when I usually posted a photo online and it made headlines. I believe that experience taught me that not everyone thinks the same as me," he remarked.

Hardiks sluggish over-rate ban will cause him to miss the opening IPL 2025 match.

Hardik Pandya, the captain of the Mumbai Indians, has been punished for his team's poor overrate in Friday's (May 17) IPL 2024 final match against the Lucknow Super Giants.Similar to the one imposed on Rishabh Pant earlier in the season, Hardik has been suspended for one match because this is the third time MI has been found guilty of the same offense. Hardik's suspension will, however, extend to the 2025 Indian Premier League since MI has already qualified for the competition and played its final league game last night.Regardless of where Hardik plays in the IPL 2025 after the huge auction, the suspension will remain in place. 50% of the match money, or INR 12 lakhs, has been penalized to the remaining members of the squad.Following his comeback to the team, Hardik had a dismal first season as the Mumbai Indians captain. Even more significantly, the five-time champions finished the season as the only team to finish with fewer than ten points, finishing in last place. He averaged just eighteen at bat.

MI was unable to cap up the season with a victory as they were defeated by the Lucknow Super Giants once more on Friday. Captain Hardik Pandya acknowledged his team's difficulties in the IPL 2024 season following the defeat to LSG, but also expressed excitement for the league's upcoming season.Pandya remarked, "Quite difficult, we didn't play good quality cricket this season and it cost us the whole season," during a conversation with the broadcasters. In the world of professionals, there will inevitably be good and terrible days. Our collective lack of skill and strategy in cricket was evident in the outcome. It's too early to pinpoint exactly what went wrong this evening. The entire season took a turn for the worst. We can go on to the next season and forget about this game,"Notably, the administration of MI chose to relieve Rohit Sharma of the captaincy prior to the 2024 Indian Premier League season, appointing Hardik Pandya, who was acquired from the Gujarat Titans, in his place. Early in the season, the devoted MI supporters opposed the new captain, with Pandya frequently subjected to jeers at the Wankhede Stadium and other venues around the nation.LSG gives MI an 18-run beating in the last league stage game: The Mumbai Indians were soundly defeated by LSG by 18 runs on Friday in the teams' last league game. The Lucknow-based team amassed 214/6 in 20 overs thanks to a 75-run effort from Nicholas Pooran, who was the best batsman among the LSG. In response, MI was unable to surpass the total despite some sharp criticism from Naman Dhir and Rohit Sharma.

A hit movie starring Salman, Aamir, and KRK is not a guarantee. Sehwag demands that Mumbai Indians release well-known players.

Virender Sehwag believes that the Mumbai Indians, who are now bottom of the IPL 2024 points standings, may decide to bench both Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya for the upcoming campaign. With all ten teams free to keep any players they choose, the IPL 2025 super auctions are set for later this year. Given MI's disappointing season this year, it's possible that the team will join the league without Rohit and Hardik.Since MI's opening match of the season, Hardik, the team's new captain, has been completely out of it. He has amassed 200 runs and taken 11 wickets while doing little to improve. Conversely, Rohit had a great start to the IPL, smashing his second century, but he quickly faltered. The former MI captain's performance has declined to such an extent that Team India is worried about him ahead of the T20 World Cup. Additionally, Sehwag feels that Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah are the only two players MI can now rely on for next year's IPL because both Rohit and Hardik are struggling with bad form amidst the whole captaincy transfer controversy.Tell me something, please. Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan together won't make a movie a success. Will it not? I take it you'll have to put on a show? Have a strong screenplay. In a similar vein, all these well-known figures will need to unite and play live. MI lost despite a century from Rohit Sharma. "Where are the remaining performances happening?" Cricbuzz was told by Sehwag."Ishan Kishan participated in every game of the season, but he was unable to go past the Powerplay. For MI, at this point, just two names are definite: Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav. The top two names will remain unchanged. And we'll see if it ultimately comes down to the third or fourth option."Tiwary and Sehwag click. Former Indian batsman Manoj Tiwary reiterated Sehwag's remarks, advising the MI team management to consider Bumrah or SKY for their future captain. While Suryakumar was named captain of a T20I series against Australia and in South Africa shortly after the World Cup last year, Bumrah has led India in three T20Is against Ireland and a Test match against England. With 20 wickets taken, Bumrah stands second in the Orange Cap standings, while Suryakumar has amassed 345 runs, including a century. Tiwary is certain that Rohit won't return for a second season, thus MI would be wise to invest in any of the two."Bumrah and SKY are the two players that I believe the Mumbai Indians will keep." No one outside of them, no outsiders either. Tim David has failed to live up to expectations. I would advise the management to name one of the two players as captain and to keep only Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah. Seeing as how he seems to not want to be retained, I am not keeping Rohit either," Tiwary continued.

Virat Kohli soch ko mei badal dete hain haqeeqat.

Virat Kohli soch ko mei badal dete hain haqeeqat.

Former Indian batsman Mohammad Kaif believes that Virat Kohli could make all the difference in the virtual knockout match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). This match will determine which team advances to the IPL 2024 playoffs, joining Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. With 661 runs in 13 innings, Kohli now owns the Orange Cap. In 16 seasons at RCB since the league's founding in 2008, he has never been a member of an IPL-winning squad. But given his current form, it won't come as a shock if he leads RCB over CSK, the five-time champions, on May 18 to secure the final slot in the top four."Kohli's attitude when he opens and faces the first ball is very clear: 'I want to play more balls, play my shots, attack the bowlers; and by the 7th or 8th over, when the spinners come on to bowl, I am batting on 30-40.'" And he has accomplished it," Kaif stated in a Star Sports interview."Ek hoti hai soch, par usko haqeeqat mei badalna, woh Virat Kohli ballebaz hai (it's one thing to have a thought process and another to make it happen, that's Virat Kohli the batsman)," Kaif continued."I've done this much, I can handle it," is a common belief. not Virat Kohli, though. Kaif emphasized that Kohli has successfully addressed the aspect of his game that was being questioned. "He proved that he can hit the spinners as well...has brought out the slog sweep," Kaif added. The Lucknow Super Giants' and Delhi Capitals' chances of making the playoffs are only theoretically alive ahead of their final game against the Mumbai Indians, while RCB and CSK will compete in a virtual shootout for a spot in the tournament.Seventh position Lucknow has the same number of points (12) as RCB, but their negative net run-rate (NRR) of -0.787 gives them little hope. Delhi has 14 points, but they are also wishing against hope because they concluded their league games with a negative NRR of -0.377.With a positive NRR of +0.387, the Bengaluru team is in a better position. Nevertheless, at 14 points, CSK has the highest NRR (+0.528) of the three. As a result, RCB will be consulting their calculators to determine the winning margins necessary to overtake CSK. Should the match end in a washout, CSK advances to the next round of the playoffs. "I believe the kind of form he (Kohli) is in, it won't be wrong to call this match as Virat Kohli vs CSK," Kaif said.

Following a defeat, LSG Owner Sanjiv Goenka reconvenes with skipper KL Rahul. Overuse of the Internet

The Lucknow Super Giants no longer control their own destiny in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 play-off competition. The LSG lead by KL Rahul are all but eliminated from the IPL playoff race with their Tuesday loss to the Delhi Capitals. Since the last few days, LSG has been the subject of bad press, especially in relation to its owner Sanjiv Goenka. It resulted from an animated conversation that was captured on camera with Rahul following LSG's defeat to SunRisers Hyderabad. Huge trolling resulted from it.With only 12 points from 13 games, the LSG's run-rate is appalling. It dropped to -0.769 following their 10-wicket loss against SunRisers Hyderabad. Following their defeat at DC, it dropped to -0.787.  Out of the four clubs vying for the fourth berth, they have the lowest run rate. They are virtually eliminated from the playoff race.Following their most recent defeat, Goenka and Rahul were pictured once more. It was, however, completely unanimated. Throughout the play against DC, the camera nearly always panned towards Goenka anytime KL Rahul did something noteworthy or went loose. His response went viral throughout the game. An online photo of the two having supper together before the match also went viral.Following the 2024 IPL Delhi Caps defeat against the Lucknow Super Giants, KL Rahul was spotted talking with LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka. Both GT and RCB are clearly the best options for KL Rahul should he decide to leave LSG at the end of this season. /vxIFlCvu2g pic.twitter.com/DCVLSG #IPL2024

Five openers who are changing T20 cricket in the IPL 2024

Five openers who are changing T20 cricket in the IPL 2024

What is the connection between Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Jake Fraser-McGurk? In the Indian Premier League (IPL) for 2024, all three of the openers have strike rates more than 200. More than 12 runs per over, that is. Additionally, they have healthy averages of 41, 53, and 36, respectively, indicating that they have made significant runs—not just cameos—contributing to the team. With strike rates of 183 and 182, respectively, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) openers Sunil Narine and Phil Salt are a little lower than the other three. However, their methods and outcomes are comparable. Their respective healthy averages are 38 and 40.The carefree mindset exhibited by these batsmen has altered anticipations regarding the potential of Twenty20 cricket. On strong batting surfaces, one can expect scores of over 240 in 20 overs at a rate of 12 an over, and over 90 in the 6-over powerplay at a rate of 15 an over. It's no longer unusual to swing the bat from the opening ball of the inning in a baseball fashion. With the exception of bowler-friendly wickets that challenge batting technique, the traditional elbows-up approach is disappearing.Power hitters are warming up for sixes rather than boundaries during practice. To continue pounding the ball for extended periods of time, they are also developing their muscle memory.

PM Modis response to the query about the Indian cricket coach; plus more

Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that "it is my resolve" that "I will not do Hindu-Muslim" and that "the day I do Hindu-Muslim, I will be unworthy of public life" on the day he submitted his nomination from Varanasi. These statements followed his criticism of the Congress a few days prior, when he remarked, "Muslims have the first claim to the nation's resources... They will distribute (this riches) to infiltrators and those with more offspring. In the meantime, BJP president J P Nadda has not only defended every one of PM Modi's utterances in response to the Election Commission's complaint from opposition parties that the PM's speeches were divisive, but he has also asked the EC to take action against the Congress for allegedly demeaning Hinduism. This time, there is an added twist to the Amethi contest: a match between a Union minister and a so-called "chaprasi (peon)". If K L Sharma's commitment to Gandhi represents both his strongest and weakest parts, then BJP workers whisper about Smriti Irani's "high handedness" and the potential consequences for them.In Mumbai's Ghatkopar neighborhood on Monday night, a massive billboard collapsed, leaving 14 people dead and 75 injured. However, city authorities had red-marked it more than a year earlier, and nothing had been done about it. What The Indian Express's records investigation and conversations with important officials revealed is as follows. The Enforcement Directorate has informed the Delhi High Court that it will include the Aam Aadmi Party as an accused in the Delhi excise policy case in its next prosecution complaint regarding alleged money laundering. This would be the first time a political party has been accused of money laundering.near the continuing battle between Israel and Hamas, a retired Indian Army colonel lost his life when his car was attacked near Rafah. Since the fighting started in October of last year, this is the first time that an international staff member of the UN has died in Gaza.

MI Camp Split Up Report Hardik Pandya arrives to bat as Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav depart.

The Mumbai Indians team appears to be more divided now than it was before in the IPL 2024 season.Within the Mumbai Indians camp during the current Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, there appears to be a significant separation. The drama surrounding the captaincy change has had a significant impact on the team's performance, and there may be far-reaching consequences. It's now been stated that Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya aren't even working out together in the middle, despite the fact that there have already been rumors of two groups within the MI camp. A story recounting a recent incident stated that Tilak Varma, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav stood up and left Hardik when he went to bat in the nets. This IPL, Hardik and Rohit haven't practiced together all that much, according to a report in Dainik Jagaran. Prior to MI's loss to KKR, Rohit was seen batting first in the practise nets. Hardik wasn't present then. Then Hardik emerged to bat in the nets as Suryakumar and Tilak Varma were seated on the sidelines alongside Rohit. When Rohit, Surya, and Tilak saw the skipper enter, they all reportedly stood up and moved to the opposite side of the room.Prior to the KKR vs. MI game at Eden Gardens, Rohit's conversation with the other team's assistant coach, Abhishek Nayar, had also caused a stir. During the talk, Rohit seemed to enumerate the adjustments that the Mumbai Indians have made since Hardik assumed leadership. It appeared that Rohit had also confirmed during the conversation that this was his final season with the Mumbai Indians. It is still rather improbable that Rohit will be kept by the Mumbai Indians because the IPL will hold a massive auction the following season. By designating Hardik as the team's new captain, the franchise has shown that they view the India all-rounder as a key member of the team.
