There will be an international maritime event in Visakhapatnam.

Next week, Visakhapatnam will play host to the international maritime event known as MILAN 2024. From February 19 to 27, delegations from almost 50 nations will participate in the 12th MILAN exercise.
The Sea Phase events will not have any VIP visits.
Participating navies will practice advanced air defense, anti-submarine, and anti-surface warfare exercises in the Bay of Bengal from February 24 to 27, which is the Sea phase. Manoeuvres, ongoing replenishment, and artillery fire on both surface and aerial targets would all be carried out.
MILAN would be a great forum for the participating navies to exchange ideas about how to improve maritime security and guarantee the safety of maritime trade for everyone's development and prosperity. The release went on to say that a sea exercise would improve interoperability, allow for the sharing of best practices, and increase confidence for future missions together to address shared challenges.
