The sixth season of Shark Tank India challenges entrepreneurs to look above startup jargon.

Shark Tank India has launched a new campaign called #DontBeATota as registrations for Season 6 open. The campaign encourages aspiring entrepreneurs to focus on understanding their business instead of simply using popular startup terms and buzzwords. The campaign features a humorous parrot named Tota, who confidently uses business words like valuation, burn rate, and EBITDA without understanding what they really mean. Through this character, the campaign delivers a simple message that memorizing startup jargon does not make someone a successful entrepreneur. Building a business requires practical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and consistent hard work.

Speaking about the campaign, Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt and one of the Sharks, said that if repeating startup buzzwords alone could build a business, everyone would invest in parrots. He explained that real entrepreneurs succeed by solving customer problems, understanding their business deeply, and showing resilience during challenges. The #DontBeATota campaign aims to inspire genuine entrepreneurs to concentrate on strong business fundamentals rather than sounding impressive with technical language. At the same time, registrations for Shark Tank India Season 6 are now open on Sony LIV, inviting founders with innovative business ideas from across India to apply.
