Smarten Power Systems has appointed Ranjit Singh as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective 1 August 2026, as the company strengthens its leadership team to support its next phase of growth. The appointment was approved by the company's Board of Directors during its meeting held on 14 July 2026. Before this promotion, Singh served as Consultant – Vice President, Operations at Smarten, where he played a key role in improving manufacturing processes, increasing operational efficiency, and supporting several strategic initiatives. In his new position, he will oversee the company's end-to-end operations, including manufacturing, supply chain management, quality systems, and strategic execution. His leadership is expected to help Smarten expand its business in both India and international markets. Ranjit Singh brings more than 52 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, product development, power electronics, telecom power, and renewable energy.

One of his notable achievements at Smarten was leading the successful transition of the company's in-house battery manufacturing facility at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, following its IPO. He established systems and processes that enabled stable in-house battery production and prepared the company for future manufacturing expansion. Speaking on his appointment, Singh said he is honoured to take on the new responsibility and will focus on strengthening manufacturing excellence, improving supply chain agility, enhancing quality systems, and building a culture of continuous improvement. Smarten's management believes his extensive industry experience will help the company meet the rising demand for power backup and renewable energy solutions while supporting long-term, sustainable growth.
