Road from Kashmir to Kanyakumari? Nitin Gadkari, a union minister, releases the much-anticipated highway

The minister stated that the new expressway between Kashmir and Kanyakumari will be the longest connecting road in recent memory while speaking at the second BT India@100 Summit.The Center is planning to construct an expressway that will link Kashmir with Kanyakumari. The route will be developed via an access control road, according to Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari's statement on Saturday. According to him, the nation's entire length of national highways increased from just 92,000 km to 1,44,634 km as of November 30, 2022.Gadkari has previously stated that the new road system will shorten the 1,312-kilometer route between Delhi and Chennai. He went on to say that by the end of the next year, India's road system will have significantly improved to the level of the US.
At the second BT India@100 Summit, Gadkari declared, "Our road infrastructure will be equal to the US' standard before the end of 2024." He went on to say that PM Narendra Modi has given priority to communication, transportation, power, and water.
