The elephant ride and jeep safari in Kohora's Kaziranga range will be closed from March 7 to 9 due to this well-known visit. The announcement of the PM's visit was made by Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam. He advised that on March 8th, Narendra Modi will make an overnight visit to Kaziranga National Park. On March 9, the PM will go on an elephant safari. The Eastern Assam Wildlife Division's Divisional Forest Officer, Arun Vignesh, stated in a notification that the elephant ride and jeep safari in the Kaziranga Range, Kohora, will not be open to the public.

On March 7, 8, and 9, Jeep Safari will not be open to visitors; on March 8 and 9, the elephant ride and forenoon will be closed. Additionally, Modi will make history by being the first prime minister to spend the night in the one-horned rhino population-rich national park. For those who are unaware, Kaziranga was granted the esteemed national park designation in February 1974, and the park will commemorate its Golden Jubilee this year. Before traveling to Jorhat, where he is expected to dedicate a statue of the renowned Assamese fighter Lachit Borphukan, Modi is reportedly planning to go on a safari. On March 9, he will also travel to Arunachal Pradesh to officially open the Sela Tunnel in West Kameng. About Kaziranga National Park: Covering 430 square kilometers, Kaziranga National Park in Assam is one of India's premier wildlife sanctuaries. One of the most well-known animal sanctuaries in the world, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is well-known for its flourishing population of the critically endangered one-horned rhinoceros. In addition to rhinos, the park is home to a wide variety of other animals and plants, such as tigers, elephants, wild water buffalo, and numerous bird species, including migratory ones like storks and pelicans.
