Netflix and Biswapati Sarkar are extending their collaboration with the new legal comedy series Maamla Legal Hai, which stars Ravi Kishan. The Patparganj District Court serves as the setting for this workplace comedy series, which centers on a group of ""jugaadu"" lawyers who frequently handle strange cases. One such case involves a parrot that is placed on trial because it spoke profanity. VD Tyagi, portrayed by the legendary Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan, is a cunning attorney who questions the ""lambé haath (long arms) of justice."" Ananya Shroff (Naila Grrewal), a ""passionate advocate for justice"" and Harvard LLM alum, is accompanying him. Although Sujata, played by Nidhi Bisht, is ""the OG Didi who hasn't represented a single case so far,"" she nevertheless yearns for her ""own air-conditioned chamber."" He added that neither of the stars wants to fade into obscurity. Ravi recounted an incident from the 1996 movie Army sets, in which Shah Rukh arrived with a high fever, while speaking with Siddharth Kanan.
But he never grumbled since he was so committed to his work. ""This is my first time donning the character of a lawyer and I can't tell you how much fun it is,"" Ravi Kishan said in reference to the episode. Rahul Pandey directs the series, and Sameer Saxena is in charge of the shows. The authors of Maamla Legal Hai are Kunal Aneja and Saurabh Khanna. Prior to this, Netflix and Posham Pa from Sarkar worked together on the comedy Jaadugar and the suspense series Kaala Paani. On March 1, Maamla Legal Hai will be available."
