LG gives 398 government job letters.

New Delhi: On Tuesday, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena presented letters of appointment to 398 individuals, bringing the total number of permanent hires in the Delhi government during the previous 1.5 years to about 22,000 persons.The Services Department and the New Delhi Municipal Corporation made about 150 appointments based solely on compassion. Principal Secretary (Services), A. K. Singh, declared that a revised Scheme for Compassionate Appointment has been developed under the direction of the L-G to enable a “fair, transparent, and objective” evaluation of the financial status of a government employee who has passed away.Mr. Singh stated during his speech that the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board's efficiency has significantly improved over the past year and a half.
He also mentioned that 10,000 selections have already been made in the last year, and the time it takes to announce results has decreased from a year to six to eight months. According to Mr. Singh, the remaining 9,000 positions are at various stages of the hiring process, 13,000 more are being reviewed, and 22,000 positions will be filled in the following 18 months.
At a celebration hosted by the Service Department on Tuesday, Lieutenant-Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena presented 398 appointment letters to recently hired government personnel. These officials are being assigned in various departments throughout local and autonomous authorities in the national capital.
