Ashiss Kumar Dash is named CEO by the Infosys board.

The board of Infosys has appointed Ashiss Kumar Dash as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Designate, marking a planned leadership transition at one of India's largest IT services companies. Dash, who currently serves as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy & Enterprise Sustainability, will assume the role of CEO and Managing Director from April 1, 2027, subject to the necessary approvals. Current CEO Salil Parekh will step down on March 31, 2027, after leading Infosys since January 2018. During his nearly nine-year tenure, Parekh oversaw the company's digital transformation strategy, expansion of cloud and artificial intelligence services, and consistent financial performance. He became the longest-serving non-founder CEO in Infosys' history. Ashiss Kumar Dash brings more than three decades of experience in technology consulting and enterprise transformation.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, he has led several global industry portfolios at Infosys and has played a key role in driving AI-led transformation, sustainability initiatives, and large-scale digital modernization projects for Fortune 500 companies. He also represents Infosys on several international industry forums and serves on the boards of multiple Infosys group companies. The leadership announcement came alongside Infosys' first-quarter FY27 earnings. The company reported year-on-year growth in revenue and profit, while also outlining its long-term succession plan well ahead of the transition. Analysts view the early appointment of Dash as a move to ensure continuity in strategy and leadership as Infosys continues to expand its AI, cloud, and digital engineering businesses.
