The program gives students the option to leave after the first year, with instruction given solely in Spanish by professionals in a variety of specializations.The Master of Arts in Spanish (MASL) program, which is set to start in January 2024, was announced by the IGNOU School of Foreign Languages on January 18. The goal of this program is to give students a comprehensive understanding of Hispanic literature, culture, and history so they may understand the current changes in the area. According to IGNOU, the program also includes practical modules like linguistics, interpretation, and translation studies. After completing the MASL curriculum successfully, students will be able to explain and communicate a variety of aspects of Hispanic cultures. The curriculum gives students the option to leave after the first year, with instruction given solely in Spanish by professionals with a variety of specializations.

Applicants may also possess an Advanced Diploma of Proficiency in Spanish from an accredited institution or university, or a Bachelor's Degree in any field, augmented by a B1 level of language proficiency in Spanish (as per CEFR). It also gives students the tools they need to understand current changes in the area.As stated in the news release, the MASL program allows students the option to leave after the first year and is taught in Spanish by professionals with a variety of specializations. In order to be considered for the program, prospective students must hold a Spanish bachelor's degree from an accredited university, located in India or abroad.Applicants may also possess an Advanced Diploma of Proficiency in Spanish from an accredited institution or university, or a Bachelor's Degree in any field, augmented by a B1 level of language proficiency in Spanish (as per CEFR).
