After completing Class 10, he relocated to Kota, Rajasthan, in order to prepare for the JEE.

He is currently the top scorer in JEE Advanced 2026. Shubham intends to enroll in IIT Bombay to pursue a BTech in computer science, a goal he claims he set for himself early in his preparation and has already accomplished."My father has put in a lot of effort to help me get ready. He added that he had witnessed his father working hard to pay for the test. "Seeing his happiness was the best moment," he said. The success is "beyond what he had imagined," according to Shubham."My dad owns a hardware store. Even though it's a small company, he never once gave me the impression that money was a barrier. He added, "My mother took care of everything at home and made sure I had nothing to worry about but studying." Shubham's family already knew what the IIT and JEE Advanced path entailed because his older sister is enrolled in IIT Patna's BTech program in computer science.
