Indian rapper Badshah was fined for breaking driving laws, but his team disputes the claims.

Following allegations that he was fined for a traffic infraction in Gurugram, Haryana, on December 15, 2024, Indian rapper Badshah is facing criticism. According to reports, the rapper was in a convoy that received a $182 fine for operating a vehicle on the incorrect side of the road.According to Gurugram Police, the Mahindra Thar involved in the collision was penalized for unsafe driving under several provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. Even if Badshah was in the convoy, it's still unknown if he was the one behind the wheel.The Thar was registered under the name Dipender Hooda of Panipat, said to Virender Vij, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) for Gurugram. Gurugram Police Public Relations Officer Sandeep Kumar went on to explain that the investigation was based on the vehicle's license plate and that more research was being done.
The claims have been categorically refuted by Badshah's team, who called them "false" and "defamatory" in a statement. The statement denied the accusations as baseless and stressed that Badshah was not driving.
