In the upcoming two years, ICF will manufacture 50 Amrit Bharat trains: Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways

According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Ministry of Railways upgraded 12 Amrit Bharat Version 2.0 trains, and 50 of these trains will be built at ICF in the next two years. The trains, which cater to low-income families, provide amenities like continuous illumination and ergonomic seating. For additional projects, the state government's assistance in allocating land is essential.Chennai: Amrit Bharat Version 2 now features 12 significant enhancements from the Ministry of Railways.Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated here on Friday that ICF will produce 50 of these trains over the next two years. The state government should prioritize serving people over politics, according to Vaishnaw, who toured the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) with its general manager, U Subba Rao. He also stated that the Center and his Ministry are dedicated to taking action for the benefit of the populace."I'm glad to see that Amrit Bharat Version 2.0 is being produced in this country. As you may remember, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced Amrit Bharat Version 1.0 in January 2024.
Vaishnaw informed reporters at the ICF here that the Amrit Bharat Version 2.0 has undergone numerous enhancements based on the experience of the last year.Sharing some of the salient features that have been improved in the Amrit Bharat trains, he said, "12 major improvements have been done in the entire train. Semi-automatic couplets, modular toilets, chair pillars and partitions, emergency talk back feature, emergency brake system, continuous lighting system like Vande Bharat trains, seats and berths with new ergonomic design have been improved."
