Kawasaki plans to bring back the KLE name with a new middleweight adventure bike, anticipated to launch at EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy. Launched in 1991 as the Kawasaki KLE500, this was a 498 cc Japanese dual-sport motorcycle designed for light off-roading and long-distance touring. The nameplate, which was discontinued in 2007, is now making a return to the stables after an absence from the market of nearly twenty years. The forthcoming Kawasaki KLE was initially hinted at during last year’s EICMA event, featuring a display of a 21-inch front wheel and a parallel-twin engine. A new teaser video shared on the manufacturer’s social media has revealed glimpses of the bike in off-road conditions, further affirming that the model will maintain its rally-style dual-sport character for riders seeking robust adventure-ready equipment without entering the larger Versys lineup.
