Following a heated debate on Tuesday, two laws that establish the procedure for holding simultaneous elections were introduced in the Lok Sabha. The administration denied the opposition parties' accusations that the draft laws, which included both an ordinary bill and a bill amending the Constitution, were an assault on the federal system.
