Prior to the release of Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Janhvi Kapoor made a spectacular debut at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. Janhvi Kapoor recalled her late mother Sridevi during Vogue India's Get Ready with Me segment, and she said that Cannes was her favorite vacation spot."You know this place was my mom's favorite place to come to for a holiday," Janhvi told Vogue India, recalling the happy times spent there with Sridevi. We stayed here for three or four summers in a row. As a family, it felt like a huge event. Every time Mom did something, every time she received a prize, or every time her film was shown somewhere. I recall when Dad was filming somewhere, or when English Vinglish had its debut at the Toronto Film Festival. All these significant life events. As a family, we would be there to celebrate and experience them together."We are back in Cannes," Janhvi murmured, echoing the sense of emptiness she had after going there without her mother. I'm with Khushi and my dad (Boney Kapoor)... Coming back here without her is strange, especially because she always brought me to her important occasions.
