But he is confused by the Lawrence Bishnoi aspect following the assassination of NCP leader Baba Siddique. Varma summed up what happened after mobster Bishnoi claimed responsibility for Siddique's death by saying that such plotlines would make even Bollywood writers shudder.

Since he is in a jail under government protection and his spokesperson is speaking from overseas, the police are unable to apprehend him.He said, "If a Bollywood writer comes up with a story like this they will thrash him for writing the most unbelievable and ridiculous story ever" .
