According to UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which is used to admit students to undergraduate and graduate programs, would change in a number of ways this year. The examination procedure must be regularly improved in order to give students taking CUET a better, more effective, and more comfortable atmosphere, according to input from previous years. According to Kumar, the UGC has established an expert group to examine CUET UG and CUET PG conduct in 2025.In addition, Kumar posted a video on the microblogging platform X, formerly known as Twitter, stating that he spoke with students from different degree programs who passed the CUET UG 2024 for two hours on the morning of December 9 to talk about possible modifications to the exam format.
He continued, "It was a pleasure to hear their perspectives and feedback."Additionally, he disclosed that an expert group had been established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to examine the behavior of CUET UG and PG. The test's format, number of papers, duration, alignment with the curriculum, and operational logistics are only a few of the factors that the committee has looked at. In a recent meeting, the panel took these suggestions into consideration," he continued.UGC will shortly produce a draft proposal outlining the updated criteria for administering CUET UG and CUET PG 2025, based on the committee's report and student input. Students, parents, professors, and institutions are all encouraged to provide comments and ideas.
