Mani Ratnam made the Hindi cinema business seem like "illiterate children," according to Javed Akhtar, when they were feeling superior. The Hindi film business was "convinced of our superiority" for decades, but Javed Akhtar recently attended an event honoring filmmaker Mani Ratnam for his achievements in the film industry and remarked that all of that changed when Mani Ratnam started making movies and made them feel like "illiterate children."Javed stated, "People in the Bombay film industry have been very complacent and sure of ourselves," during a News 18 event. We used to be so sure of our own superiority. After that, a Tamil Nadu-born director struck us across the face with a caliber of work we had never seen before. "Unprecedented" was how the seasoned writer described the director's work, adding,

"We were very sure of our technical superiority." We felt like ignorant children because of him.According to Javed Akhtar, many people find success in the film industry, but only those who have produced "exceptional work" are able to maintain their status. "Although it may not be politically correct, I can name ten directors who have made a lot of hits that no one remembers." Success in the film industry is not the only thing that keeps you going; Mani Ratnam's work exemplifies this," he stated."Javed saab, I believe we need you back writing screenplay," he added. It will greatly benefit us.

I believe we need Javed saab, particularly in these days when we are only discussing numbers. Mani Ratnam quipped that he would be happy to start work on his next movie after Javed Akhtar finished writing the screenplay. Mani is now anticipating his upcoming movie with Kamal Haasan.
