This year, my yearly leave lasted for a week, beginning before the Dragon Boat Festival, which took place from June 8 to 10. This extended vacation allowed me to visit Japan, just like many of my fellow citizens who seem to have taken a similar approach.Qunar, an online travel service based in Beijing, reports that booking volumes for outbound foreign flights increased by 60% year over year during the holiday season. The Spring Festival holiday set off the rising momentum for outbound tourism, which persisted through the May Day vacation. For example, due to a policy that waives the need for a visa and the introduction of some new routes, the number of flights booked from China to Malaysia during the Dragon Boat Festival more than doubled from the previous year. While China's freight business is a thriving indicator of the country's global trade and economy, the country's air passenger market has been steadily recovering since the COVID-19 pandemic, which is a reflection of Chinese consumers' ever-increasing need for travel.Strong support for the recovery of demand in the global civil aviation sector has also come from the domestic economy's steady recovery and ongoing opening-up.
In the country, the number of travel product bookings and the amount of consumption per person during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday surpassed the levels observed the previous year. It is anticipated that the market will remain resilient this summer, helped by strong demand for both leisure and business travel.Furthermore, Chinese customers have been focusing on the caliber and experiences of their trips. Industry participants discovered that more customers had reserved premium hotels and business class tickets, and that younger travelers have been especially interested in individualized and superior travel experiences. During the peak summer travel season, which lasts from July 1 to August 31, outbound international airline booking volumes have already increased by 160% year over year, while ticket costs have decreased by roughly 20%. According to Qunar, the US, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, and South Korea are among the most sought-after foreign travel destinations this summer. According to data from the International Air Transport Association, international passenger markets in every region of the world had robust year-over-year increase in April. "Demand for passengers has been rising."
