IPL 2024: SRH vs. KKR Now Live score for an IPL match: In 70 matches, a remarkable 1,208 sixes have been hit in the current IPL season. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), whose batting has symbolized their daring approach and helped them climb from bottom (last year) to second (this year) position in the table, is leading the count with 160 in 13 matches.SRH, spearheaded by the formidable Australian bowler Pat Cummins, will be keen to make a lasting impression this time. But before that, they'll need to overcome Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Tuesday's first qualifier in Ahmedabad. The Knight Riders, guided by Gautam Gambhir, who led KKR to their two IPL championships in 2014 and 2016, have been the best team thus far this season. The new ball bowlers have been smashed to all areas of the pitch by the opening combination of West Indian Sunil Narine and Englishman Phil Salt, who has departed for national service.
But, Kolkata hasn't had a chance to put Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Salt's like-for-like successor, to the test because their last two league games were postponed due to rain. The momentum created by the openers has been maintained by the middle-order, which consists of southpaw Nitish Rana, captain Shreyas Iyer, and Venkatesh Iyer. Rinku Singh and Andre Russell have also made significant contributions later in the order. The KKR batting will be put to the test by the Sunrisers' bowling combination of left-arm pacer T Natarajan, seasoned pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Cummins. Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, along with left-arm spinner Shahbaz Ahmed, has offered the spin bowling option since Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has been sidelined.Left-handed batsmen Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma have gone toe-to-toe from the first ball, matching KKR's strength at the top of the order.
