The captain of the Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma, chastised youngster Sarfaraz Khan for not donning a helmet on Sunday during Day 3 of the fourth Test match between India and England in Ranchi. In an attempt to exert pressure on the batter, Rohit wanted Sarfaraz to field at silly point with Shoaib Bashir at the crease, but the fielder assumed his position without a helmet. "Aye bhai, hero nahi banne ka (hey brother, don't be a hero here)" was Rohit's quick way of saying that he cannot field at such a dangerous position without a helmet. Play soon resumed, and the 12th man handed Sarfaraz a helmet.
On the third day of the fourth Test, India bowled England out for 145, thanks to five wickets from Ravichandran Ashwin, setting up a 192-run chase to win the series.
India needed another 152 runs to win the five-Test series and their third consecutive match after reaching 40-0 at stumping.
