Ravi departed the State Assembly session without giving the House his usual speech.CHENNAI: Three minutes after entering the hall and before he read the traditional opening remarks for the first assembly session of the year, Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi left the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly on Monday.M K Stalin, the chief minister and leader of the house, and M Appavu, the speaker of the assembly, "cussedly refused" to sing the national anthem at the start of his speech, according to the governor's office.When the governor arrived at the House at 9.30 am, the Tamil anthem "Tamil Thai Vaazhthu" was performed, as is customary.

The governor took the microphone, said a few words about the "national anthem," then left with his staff as AIADMK, Congress, and TVK leader T Velmurugan chanted slogans."The national anthem and the Constitution of Bharat were once again insulted in the assembly today," the official Raj Bhavan handle later wrote on X.
