Patanjali Research Institute has unveiled promising results from its latest study addressing a critical side effect of cancer treatment—cardiotoxicity caused by chemotherapy. The research, conducted over several months, focused on the potential of Ayurvedic formulations to protect heart health during chemotherapy without interfering with cancer-fighting effects.

The study, presented by Patanjali’s scientific team, tested proprietary herbal compounds on both pre-clinical models and limited human trials. Results showed a significant reduction in markers of cardiac stress and damage, suggesting that select Ayurvedic formulations may offer cardioprotective benefits. This approach could fill a gap in current oncology care, where managing side effects remains a major challenge.

Researchers emphasized that the formulations used are rooted in traditional Ayurvedic knowledge but have been subjected to rigorous scientific validation. Independent labs were reportedly involved in corroborating the biochemical and histopathological findings. The research is currently under peer review for publication in a reputed medical journal.

Although the findings are preliminary, this development paves the way for new integrative strategies in cancer treatment. With further validation, it could eventually result in a complementary therapy that lessens long-term heart issues in cancer survivors.
