Although genetics can affect your risk of getting cancer, lifestyle decisions are just as crucial for prevention. Little routines that are maintained over time might have big effects. In his Instagram post from April 30, Dr. Saadvik Raghuram lists five essential lifestyle choices that can reduce your risk of cancer and support long-term health."One out of three malignancies can be avoided. Not using magic. Not when mountains are involved. but with routines. You can reduce your risk of cancer by doing these five easy, scientifically supported adjustments right now. Don't incite fear.

Just the facts. Avoid drastic dieting. "Just manageable shifts," Dr. Saadvik captioned his photo. He goes on to say in his video, "Did you know that changing certain lifestyle habits can prevent 20 to 30% of your cancer?"1. Reduce your intake of processed meals You can reduce your risk of developing cancer by eating more green vegetables each day and consuming less processed meat and other processed foods.2. Always use sunscreen Sunscreen is necessary to protect your skin from UV rays, even on overcast days or while you're inside close to windows.3. Continue to be active every day. Try to move for at least half an hour every day. Walking, dancing, going to the gym, or even just taking your dog on a walk could all be examples of this.4. Steer clear of extended sitting Extended periods of sitting can be detrimental. Make an effort to walk around a lot, even if you take little pauses during the day. 5. Make sleep a priority Getting 7 to 8 hours of good sleep promotes general health, reduces inflammation, and lessens stress.
