Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, has supported a police officer's statement that those who are unhappy with the colors of Holi should stay inside. "Friday prayers must be read each week, yet Holi only occurs once a year. There is no requirement that one visit the mosque. Colors shouldn't be a problem for someone who has to go," he remarked.Adityanath made the comments during a summit hosted by India Today in response to the uproar over Sambhal Circle Officer Anuj Chaudhary's speech. Following a peace committee meeting at the Sambhal Kotwali police station on Thursday, Chaudhary advised reporters to stay indoors if they did not want to take part in Holi.
