Although it has always been stated in the terms and conditions that family members must live in the same home as the manager, YouTube has not up to now aggressively enforced this requirement. According to recent reports, the corporation is now using direct enforcement to follow up on the computerized checks it regularly performs every 30 days to verify account activity. Many subscribers have expressed frustration with the crackdown, claiming that the "family" package moniker is misleading if access is limited to people who live together.
