As members of the 18th Lok Sabha, among others, Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy, Chirag Paswan, Kiren Rijiju, Nitin Gadkari, and Mansukh Mandaviya took an oath of office. Taking the oath of office as members of the 18th Lok Sabha were Union Ministers Bhupender Yadav, Giriraj Singh, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, JD(U) MP Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh, BJP MP Piyush Goyal, and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.Mahtab, a seven-time member of the BJP, took the oath of office as the 18th Lok Sabha's pro-tem speaker earlier today. President Murmu is expected to speak to the joint session of both chambers of Parliament on June 27. Earlier, PM Modi greeted all of the recently elected MPs and assured the media that the new administration would always work to unite the people and forge consensus in order to serve the nation. He made these remarks while speaking to reporters outside the newly constructed Parliament building.
