A Global Cruise Hub is now being created for Goa. Here are some dos and don'ts for Indian travelers who are eager to cruise this year—nearly 30% of them.If Goa is your first choice for a vacation in 2025, remember to bring a strip of sea sickness medication, a hat, sunglasses, flip-flops, and casual attire. And just drive into Goa instead of taking the train, the aircraft, or the sedan. Because Goa's largest marine asset, Mormugao Port, will have an environmentally friendly, 9,960 square meter, state-of-the-art cruise terminal by March 2025 for both local and international cruises. Include a food court, lounges, duty-free retail stores, parking, landscaped gardens, an internal road system, and utilities. Ferry Terminal services are also included.

As revealed at the Maritime States Development Council meeting that was recently held in Goa, this massive initiative aims to make Goa a global hub for cruises. The announcement is in line with the goal of the Center's 2023 National Strategy for Cruise Tourism, which aims to establish India as the country of choice for deep sea, coastal, river, and yacht cruises. The strategy has the ability to advance Goa's blue revolution and targets 1,000 top-tier vessels.
