It's common advice for parents to burp their infants after feeding them. Certain individuals believe that burping is crucial to lessen or stop a baby from crying in discomfort or to lessen the amount of milk the baby regurgitates after eating. It's true that when babies eat, they swallow air just like adults do. This air is expelled from the upper portion of our digestive tracts when we burp. Therefore, many people believe that a baby's crying after feeding indicates that they need to "be burped." But this isn't always the case.In the end, the decision is yours. Burping a baby gently is safe. Continue nursing your infant if you believe that it is beneficial to them. You don't have to continue burping your baby after every feeding if it's making you or your infant anxious.
