Celebrating a new Guinness record, Gwalior, the musical city of creativity

"The achievement on Monday occurs barely one month after Gwalior was named in November as the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) Creative City of Music.
During the ongoing 99th International Tansen Mahotsav in Gwalior, some 1,300 musicians performed Vande Mataram on tabla on Monday, breaking the record for the ""largest table ensemble"" according to Guinness World Records.At the 'Taal Darbar' in Gwalior, City of Music, 1500 people played tabla, creating a Guinness World Record for the most people playing tabla simultaneously. The historic performance was witnessed by Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav. Chief Minister Yadav stated that 25 December will be designated as 'Tabla Divas'.
