On Tuesday, Aggarwal revealed the Krutrim AI Lab and said the company would make a number of AI models open-source on the microblogging site X.As the AI race heats up, Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal stated on February 4 that he has invested Rs 2,000 crore in his artificial intelligence business Krutrim, with a commitment of Rs 10,000 crore by the following year. Aggarwal also revealed the Krutrim AI Lab, a cutting-edge facility for artificial intelligence research.Today, Bhavish Aggarwal, the creator of Ola, announced that his artificial intelligence (AI) company Krutrim will receive a Rs 2,000 crore investment. Additionally, he pledged to invest Rs 10,000 crore by the next year. The KrutrimAI lab was revealed by the founders of Ola Electric and Ola Mobility. More significantly, he said that the business has released some of Krutrim's technical reports and is making the work available to the open-source community.

"We've been working on AI for a year, and today we're releasing our work to the open-source community and also publishing a bunch of technical reports," Aggarwal stated in an X post. Our goal is to improve AI for India by taking into account factors like cultural context, data scarcity, and Indian languages."We will make it the largest supercomputer in India by the end of the year," he continued, adding that they had partnered with Nvidia to deploy India's first GB200 system, which would go online by March. The Krutrim 2 and Krutrim 1 large language models (LLMs) are among the models that Krutrim has made available to the open-source community. When India's first LLM, Krutrim 1, was introduced in January 2024, it was a simple 7B model. Today, we're introducing Krutrim 2, a significantly enhanced model," Aggarwal stated.
