"Is February 14th a bank holiday?: Although Basanta Panchami/Saraswati Puja falls on that day, banks in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, and Kolkata would be closed. However, this is not a recognised holiday by the government. Banks in Imphal will be closed on February 15. If you include Saturdays and Sundays, there are a total of eleven holidays in this month. The second and fourth Saturdays of every month are usually when banks are closed. February 2024 bank holidays: Following the holiday calendar of the Reserve Bank of India, banks in different parts of India are providing their branches with 12 vacations in February 2024. Many bank branches will be closed for an additional six days this month, which will prolong the customary weekend vacations on the second and fourth Saturdays in addition to Sundays. The Reserve Bank of India has categorised these bank holidays into four primary categories: The Negotiable Instruments Act's holidays, Holidays with real-time gross settlement Account closures by the bank The following lists the state-by-state bank holidays for February 2024: February 10: Losar February 14: Saraswati Puja (Shree Panchami) and Basanta Panchami February 15th: Nguyỿn Văn Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti is on February 19. State Day/Statehood Day is February 20. February 26: Nyokum.  When determining bank holidays, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) takes into account a number of variables, including state and national holidays, cultural or religious celebrations, operational requirements, governmental orders, and cooperation with other banks. The RBI notifies banks and other financial institutions of its holiday calendar via official channels, including its website.
