The new Director-General of Police (DGP)/Director of Fire and Rescue Services is Seema Agrawal, a senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. After former DGP Abhash Kumar retired on March 31, she assumed this role. Seema Agrawal was the DGP of Civil Supplies prior to this position.Seven Additional IPS Offices Will Be Transferred to New Positions Seven additional IPS officials have been transferred by the State government in addition to Seema Agrawal's new appointment. These transfers are a component of routine updates designed to maintain the police department's effectiveness and continuity.Meena Rupesh Kumar's new charge As the current Inspector-General of Police (IGP) for Civil Supplies-CID, Rupesh Kumar Meena will also assume the additional duty of serving as the DGP of Civil Supplies. This implies that for the time being, he will manage two roles jointly. Vijayendra S. Bidari's posting IGP Vijayendra S. Bidari is now assigned to the Greater Chennai Police Headquarters as an IGP/Additional Commissioner of Police. Kapil Kumar C. Saratkar, the former officer in this position, has been moved to the position of IGP, Enforcement, Chennai.

Appointment of Traffic Police The Greater Chennai Traffic Police has appointed G. Karthikeyan as the new IGP/Additional Commissioner of Police. R. Sudhakar, the previous officer, has been assigned to Central Services. Modifications to the Economic Offenses Wing The new IGP of the Economic Offenses Wing is Santhosh Kumar, who was previously the Joint Director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption. M. Sathiya Priya, this wing's previous IGP, has been promoted as IGP, Welfare.M. Durai is assigned to Police Headquarters as the DIG. At the Headquarters, M. Durai has been named the Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) of Police. His new position entails helping senior officers from the main office with everyday police activities and processing crucial papers.
