India's foreign policy has always been governed by the ideas of multilateralism, strategic autonomy, and non-alignment. But in recent years, India has taken a more practical stance, striking a balance between its expanding alliance with the United States and its long-standing ties with Russia. With a focus on maintaining a free, open, and inclusive regional order, the Indo-Pacific area has become a key area of interest for India's foreign policy.

India's dedication to thwarting Chinese influence while fostering economic and security cooperation is demonstrated by its active participation in organizations like the Quad, which is made up of the US, Japan, Australia, and India, as well as its interactions with ASEAN nations.
